Steven Quartz Universe is the titular main protagonist of the Steven Universe series. He appeared in the 146^th episode of Death Battle, Steven Universe VS Star Butterfly, where he fought against Star Butterfly from the Star vs. the Forces of Evil series.

History

Steven Quartz Universe is the son of Greg Universe and Rose Quartz, a member of an alien race known as Gems, and one who sought to protect Earth from the Gems' conquering rulers, the Diamonds. After which, she settled down with Greg and gave up her physical body so their son could be born. Steven is the only known hybrid of a human and a Gem and the first Crystal Gem of human descent. As a result of his parentage, Steven is an extraordinarily unique being with innate powers beyond that of normal humans and Gems. While he was only a child, Steven has struggled with his abilities, the true actions and intentions of his mother, and bearing the fate of his world on his shoulders, often by himself. Steven steadily grew from a tag-along to the Crystal Gems into the heart of the team, and eventually led a new era of peace for both human and Gemkind thanks to his kind-hearted nature and resourcefulness.
