Taichi "Tai" Kamiya is one of the main protagonists of the Digimon series. He appeared in the 57th episode and Season 2 Finale of Death Battle, Pokémon VS Digimon, where he and Agumon fought against Red and Charizard from the Pokémon series.
History
Tai Kamiya is a young, energetic and adventurous young boy who had no idea what he would encounter when he and six other kids went to summer camp and found mysterious devices, which transported them all into the Digital World. There, Tai would meet Koromon, who would then become the small but ferocious Agumon. Little did either of them know, they actually met once way back when, which ended in a clash with a parrot-like digital monster. While both are matched well in that they can act rather brashly and hot-headedly when their friends are in danger, Tai is typically the more reckless one, even if his partner gets annoyed by it at times. The pair joke around with each other a lot and go through many trials together, but their trust in each other is evident. The two would stick together through thick and thin, leading the DigiDestined against threats to both the Digital and Human Worlds via the power of trust and friendship.
