She-Ra VS Wonder Woman is the 129th episode of Death Battle, featuring She-Ra from the She-Ra and Masters of the Universe series and Wonder Woman from DC Comics in a battle between powerful warrior princesses. She-Ra was voiced by Amber May and Wonder Woman was reprised by Natalie Van Sistine.
Interlude
Wiz & Boomstick
by Brandon Yates |
We cut to Wiz and Boomstick.
Boomstick: Not every princess needs some knight in shining armor they've never met to rescue them.
Wiz: Some even take it upon themselves to protect other lands they've never known.
We cut to the combatants' name cards.
Boomstick: Like She-Ra, the Princess of Power in Etheria.
Wiz: And Wonder Woman, the warrior princess of the Amazons.
We cut back to Wiz and Boomstick.
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.
She-Ra
Wiz: Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away...
Boomstick: Uh, but not so far that it could be copyright infringement!
Wiz: A timeless war raged on between two planets: Eternia and Etheria.
Boomstick: On Eternia was everyone's favorite Conan the Barbarian wannabe...
He-Man theme: He-Man!
Boomstick: And Etheria was the home of the Horde. I bet you'll never guess which one's the bad guys.
Wiz: But before he was He-Man, Prince Adam had a twin sister, Princess Adora. Sadly, she was kidnapped from Eternia by the Horde's leader, Hordak, and brainwashed to become his brutal enforcer on Etheria.
Boomstick: Okay, who came up with these planet names? I'm already confused.
Wiz: Years passed, but eventually, He-Man stumbled upon his sister while he was busy with something else. He was on a quest to find a wielder for a magical weapon, the legendary Sword of Protection.
Boomstick: Wouldn't you know it, when Adora touched his sword... uh, don't read into that... her mind was healed, and she transformed into the heroic She-Ra.
She-Ra's theme song briefly plays.
Boomstick: ♫She-Ra, She-Ra~!♫ (hums) Man, that song's so much better than He-Man's.
Wiz: As the Princess of Power, She-Ra possesses god-like speed and strength, and wields the Sword of Protection like a master.
Boomstick: It's no ordinary sword, either. It can transform into a bunch of stuff.
Wiz: A lasso, a shield, a boomerang, a parachute, a grappling hook, a tennis racket, a baseball bat, a net, and a coffee mug.
We cut to Wiz and Boomstick, with Boomstick holding the Sword of Protection.
Boomstick: It's the ultimate Swiss Army knife, er, sword.
He swings it around.
Wiz: Uh, where did you get that?
Boomstick: It can deflect magic attacks, uh, shoot some energy beams, cut through lighting, and freeze you solid.
Wiz: It's comparable to He-Man's Sword of Power, which stems from an eternal deity of natural order. She-Ra can even use it to transform her horse into a flying alicorn, Swift Wind.
Swift Wind: Indeed I am, She-Ra. Indeed I am.
Boomstick: That's a really deep voice for a horse to have... wait, why am I not drunk anymore?!
Wiz: Uh, well, holding the sword wards off possession and mind control, so I suppose that could include alcohol...
Boomstick throws it away, with Wiz ducking as it flies past him. We then cut back to the analysis.
Wiz: With this blade in hand, and her mind all her own, Adora joined the Rebellion against the Horde. As She-Ra, she was an incredible powerhouse of a hero, defeating evil daily in her own unique way.
Boomstick: Unique is sure one way to put it. Take the time a village was set on fire. Her "solution" was to cut up an entire lake and throw the whole thing over the place!
Wiz: Hopefully not drowning anyone.
Boomstick: Hey lady, why didn't you just use your super-breath to put out the flames? Which you totally have!
Wiz: Much like her hulked out brother, She-Ra's strength can simply defy all reason. Smacking away meteors, throwing a battleship like a skipping stone, or even closing up a canyon like it's a Ziploc bag. WHAT?
Boomstick: How about that time she climbed from the surface of the planet all the way to a spaceship in orbit in less than a minute?
Wiz: Assuming the orbit around Etheria is similar to Earth's, she must've been climbing around 20 times faster than sound. Even better, her mount, Swift Wind, kept up with the Rock People, who can fly between solar systems. Therefore, he might be able to move over 450 times the speed of light.
Boomstick: Rock People's a dumb name for people that are fast; rocks are slow. And then there's the other flying horse, Crystal Sun Dancer. Oh God, wait, Wiz, is this another pony episode?!
Wiz: Crystal Sun Dancer was specifically stated to be faster than Swift Wind, and took She-Ra and He-Man to another galaxy.
Boomstick: Apart from super speed, She-Ra's also strong enough to kick the Moon away.
Wiz: Factoring the Moon's size compared to the distance it was kicked here, She-Ra must've struck it with a force equal to 44 yottatons of TNT.
Boomstick: I don't know what Yoda has to do with this, but (imitates Yoda) powerful, she is.
Yoda's laugh is briefly played.
Wiz: Just imagine if someone threw the entire Great Wall of China at you, 70 quadrillion times.
Boomstick: So, yeah. Super strong. All thanks to the ultimate power from a sword that's definitely not plastic.
Wiz: Clearly, Adora's heroic deeds have more than made up for her dark past. Whether she's protecting her family or her new homeworld, She-Ra truly lives up to the title "Princess of Power."
She-Ra: For the honor of Grayskull, I am She-Ra!
Wonder Woman
Wiz: Somewhere among the distant knots of the ocean, a mysterious island is veiled by mist and magic. This is Themyscira, home of the Amazons.
Boomstick: Location: Tropical island. Population: 100% women. Attractions: Everyone's a highly trained warrior. Oh yeah, I know where I'm takin' my next vacation.
Wiz: The Amazons were tasked by the Olympian gods to prepare for a great battle, and trained in solitude for many millennia.
Boomstick: Until one day, when a military plane randomly crashed into paradise.
Wiz: Call it luck, call it will of the gods, but Olympia's chosen were no longer a secret.
Boomstick: Even they knew it was about time they checked out what the rest of the world was up to. So, after playing the deadliest game of catch ever, because they were catching freakin' bullets, they chose their finest fighter as an ambassador to, quote, "man's world".
Wiz: This was Diana Prince, or as she would come to be known, Wonder Woman.
Boomstick: Diana didn't just reconnect the Amazons with the rest of the world, she became a goddamn superhero!
Wiz: And one of the best! With her divine physiology, she already possessed incredible superhuman abilities. However, her powers were amplified by blessings of the gods, including flight, accelerated healing, and a little bit of magic.
Boomstick: But as someone who's noticing a few new experience lines in the mirror every morning, I think I'm mostly jealous of her power to barely ever age.
We cut to Wiz and Boomstick.
Wiz: Experience lines? You mean wrinkles?
Boomstick: What? Of course not! Uh, I'm just... levelin' up in life.
Wiz: You know, I've been working on a de-aging solution.
He holds up a syringe filled with a green solution.
Wiz: You could... give it a try.
Boomstick: (chuckling) No no no no no no, I know how this goes, motherf...
He turns, Wiz sticks the syringe into his arm.
Boomstick: You son of a bitch...
Wiz: Ahem, anyway, it's important to note that Diana is more than simply superhuman. She's trained in martial combat and equestrianism all her life. We know she was born when the Roman Empire employed centurions, so she's likely over 3,000 years old.
Boomstick: (high pitched) That's crazy!
We see his head is now shrunken.
Boomstick: Why do I sound like a cartoon mouse?
Wiz: Well, (takes out a pen and clipboard) back to the drawing board.
Boomstick scratches his head, then realizes what's happened. We then cut back to the analysis.
Wiz: Moving on, Wonder Woman also carries an arsenal of specialized weapons and tools.
Boomstick: (normal voice) Sure, the invisible jet seems kinda stupid when she can just lift off on her own, but how about that Lasso of Truth? She can make anybody spill the beans with that thing.
Person: I cross-dress in a Wonder Woman outfit. It makes me feel powerful.
Wiz: She has carried many blades, but her tried and true was crafted by the God of the Forge, Hephaestus. The edge of this immaculate sword is so fine, it can shear electrons off of atoms. Superman once used it to literally split an atomic nucleus, which promptly blew up in their faces.
Boomstick: Heh heh, good times.
Wiz: She can even summon this magic sword at any point thanks to her metal cuffs, the Bracelets of Submission.
Boomstick: Not only do those sound super kinky, they're super durable. They're made of Eighth Metal, one of the strongest elements in all of creation. That means they can deflect basically anything. Bullets? Easy. Heat vision hotter than the sun? Not a problem. Darkseid's Omega Beams that are totally unblockable? Well, they aren't anymore, b*tch!
Wiz: The name isn't really a BDSM reference... well, not today, at least. While wearing the Bracelets of Submission, Wonder Woman's power is actively suppressed, held back for, presumably, the safety of others.
Boomstick: So when she takes 'em off, step the hell away, 'cause she's goin' God Mode.
Wiz: With all this potential, Diana quickly made a name for herself among the superhero community. In time, she helped found the Justice League, the greatest team of superheroes the world has ever known. Fellow Leaguer Batman even called her "the best melee fighter in the world".
Boomstick: It's all about those wavedashes.
Wiz: What?
Boomstick: Oh, wrong melee. But it's Batman, a guy who knows 10 times more than Google ever will. I mean, she's basically defeated every other Justice League member in a fight at some point. This chick literally punches warheads like they're beach balls.
Wiz: She's defeated Professor Zoom, the Flash's equal, while on the receiving end of multiple lightspeed punches. By punching at lightspeed, the mass of Zoom's strikes technically reaches a near-infinite level, striking with the force of a white dwarf star. That is two billion megatons of force per punch.
Boomstick: And Diana beat the shit out of him while she was blind.
Wiz: She certainly has the speed to match. She's fast enough to race Shazam, and battle Superman from the Earth to the Sun in about 20 seconds. During a conflict with an entity known as the Shattered God, she moved quick enough to block all his fractured pieces from returning to him from across the universe.
Boomstick: And she's helped move both the Moon and the Earth, though she did need a bit of help.
Wiz: It takes about a thousandth of a celestial body's weight to move it against the Sun's orbit. Assuming Wonder Woman was pulling her fair share, that means she's lifting over two quintillion tons.
Boomstick: She's not invincible, though. Technically, she's vulnerable to piercing weapons. You know, things like bullets and swords.
Wiz: To be fair, you would need far more than a few bullets to take her down. Not only does Diana have a stellar healing factor, but she's incredibly tough.
Boomstick: Hell, when Bats was putting together a list of contingency plans in case any Justice League members went crazy, he left Wondy's box empty, 'cause he says she doesn't have a Kryptonite.
Wiz: Why even have the box at all...? Whatever. Simply put, Wonder Woman is an incredible warrior.
Boomstick: There's a good reason why she's considered one of the DC trinity.
Wiz: She didn't just bring the Amazons back into the modern world, Wonder Woman inspired many new generations of heroes, while saving the day time and time again.
Wonder Woman: I am Diana, Princess of the Amazons! I won't be denied!
Prelude
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set and we've run the data through all possibilities.
Boomstick: But first, I need to rock out to that She-Ra theme song with some Raycon earbuds. (to the tune of the She-Ra opening theme) ♫She-Ra, She-Ra...♫
Wiz and Boomstick read out an advertisement for Raycon.
Boomstick: But right now, IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLEEE!!!
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set and we've run the data through all possibilities.
Boomstick: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLEEE!!!Death Battle
Princesses of Wonder

Wonder Woman and She-Ra are seen preparing themselves to fight each other in an unknown arena surrounded by forests and ancient structures. Diana puts her bracelets together praying.
Wonder Woman: Zeus, Heracles, Hippolyta, give me strength!
Wonder Woman puts her hand up and summons her sword.
She-Ra: For the honor of Grayskull. I am She-Ra!
She-Ra swings her sword around and raises it into the air.
Wonder Woman: Compared to an Amazon like me, you're just playing dress-up.
The Princess of the Amazons charges at She-Ra and the two collide, their swords clashing until there is a stand-still.
She-Ra: You are strong, Amazon. But no match for a Princess of Power.
Wonder Woman: Get over yourself!
Wonder Woman kicks the Princess of Power back and uses her lasso to knock a pillar into her. The princess of Etheria then holds the pillar with one hand.
She-Ra: See what I mean?
Adora tosses the pillar forward. Diana leaps on and runs on the pillar before jumping up high to deliver a devastating vertical slash. She-Ra turns her Sword of Protection into a shield to block the attack and then unleashes her super-breath to blow Wonder Woman into the forest. Diana stabs her sword into the ground to stop her momentum.
She then notices She-Ra's sword has transformed into a boomerang and has started to slice down trees within the area. She flips over the projectile, which returns to its owner and becomes a sword once more. As Adora begins running forward, Diana cuts down a nearby tree and kicks it towards her opponent. She-Ra easily disposes of the wood before firing a massive energy beam at the Amazonian princess.
Thanks to her Bracelets of Submission, Wonder Woman is able to withstand the beam. She charges up her sword with electricity and tosses it at She-Ra, knocking her opponent back into her invisible jet.
Wonder Woman: What's the matter? Feeling shocked?
Diana summons her sword back to her hand. She-Ra lifts the plane and tosses it at the Justice League member, where she slices it in half. As she turns back and notices her ride exploding, Adora charges forward and engages her opponent in an intense sword battle.
The two princesses repeatedly clash swords as they go through the forest. Eventually, She-Ra's strength begins to overwhelm Wonder Woman. When Adora forces Diana to kneel to defend, she aims her sword at her opponent's legs and freezes them.
She-Ra: Gotcha!
She-Ra slaps away Wonder Woman's blade and begins repeatedly slashing at the super heroine's bracelets, eventually destroying them.
She-Ra: You're finished!
Before the Princess of Power is able to deliver the finishing cut, Wonder Woman's eyes begin to glow. She summons the Sword of Hephaestus once more to block her foe's blade. She then tilts her weapon and easily cuts through the Sword of Protection.
While She-Ra is shocked at the destruction of her weapon, Wonder Woman leaps high into the air, which knocks the Eternian princess back into a tree. While the Princess of Power, still in shock, looks up at her, unable to react, Diana flies forward at high speeds and delivers one final slash that decapitates She-Ra along with chopping through four trees near her.
Wonder Woman: That's what power really looks like.
The Amazonian princess walks away as She-Ra's headless corpse begins sliding down the tree.

We cut to Wiz and Boomstick.
Boomstick: Ooh, talk about takin' a little off the top!
Wiz: Both She-Ra and Wonder Woman had clear advantages over the other in this fight, some to great extremes.
Boomstick: Yeah, it was pretty obvious Adora was a lot stronger than Wondie. She-Ra moved the Moon all by herself, while Diana needed a little help.
Wiz: But strength alone obviously isn't everything. Pulling the Earth at all still means her strength was comparable to She-Ra's.
Boomstick: So, let's check their experience, arsenals, and speed to see if Diana could reliably counter that power difference. (whispers) And, uh, spoilers, she definitely could.
We cut to the post-analysis.
Wiz: First of all, She-Ra's transforming blade implied a broader versatility than Wonder Woman. However, unlike Diana's toolkit, very few of these forms were applicable to combat.
Boomstick: And I mean, havin' a shield is handy, but not when it takes away the sword you need to counterattack your foe after blocking. What kind of strategy is that?
Wiz: Certainly not one Wonder Woman and her three millennia of experience would follow. She-Ra may have also been fighting all her life, but she's much, much younger.
Boomstick: Plus, She-Ra didn't have an answer to that atom-slicing sword. Uh, atom, not-not that Adam. With that in Wonder Woman's hands, the strength difference didn't really mean as much.
Wiz: Still, in order to take advantage of all of this, Wonder Woman needed to be faster then She-Ra. Let's look at Swift Wind and Crystal Sun Dancer. Logically, She-Ra rides these mounts to travel at faster speed than she is capable of herself.
Boomstick: We know Swifty can zoom around over 450 times the speed of light, but the other little pony is way quicker.
Wiz: Both He-Man and She-Ra were dependent on Crystal Sun Dancer for their trip to another galaxy. Giving their time frame a generous benefit of the doubt with just one hour, this magic horse must've been traveling about 22 billion times light speed.
Boomstick: Definitely impressive, but then there's the Shattered God feat.
Wiz: Right, the pieces of the Shattered God that Wonder Woman blocked all originated from far corners of the universe. Not the galaxy, the universe. Now, the exact size of the DC universe is a hotly debated topic. I know, very interesting stuff...
Boomstick: Oh, just skip to the good part, nerd.
Wiz: Fine, fine, there's plenty of evidence that it is larger than our own known universe, and there's more than a hundred-trillion light-years between the Earth and the foreseeable edge. To close this gap in such a short time, each shard must've been moving over 50 quintillion times the speed of light.
We cut to Wiz and Boomstick.
Boomstick: And again, Diana blocked all of 'em, one after the other, rapid-fire.
Wiz: Remember, She-Ra must be slower then Crystal Sun Dancer, potentially only comparable at a reactionary level, if at all. Therefore, at absolute minimum, Wonder Woman was more than nine billion times faster.
Boomstick: A much bigger difference than the strength comparison, and more than quick enough to stick that magic sword right where it really hurts.
He pulls out Wonder Woman's sword and swings it, then throws it away as Wiz speaks.
Wiz: She-Ra's amazing strength and versatility may have kept the Amazon running, but Diana's skill, arsenal, and incredible speed tipped the scales enough for a victory.
Boomstick: It's no Wonder She-Ran out of time.
We cut to the "Winner" card.
Wiz: The winner is Wonder Woman.

The cover art depicts She-Ra's Sword of Protection with light shining off the blade positioned in the middle of Wonder Woman's stylized "WW" emblem broken in half.
Trivia
Production
- The connections between She-Ra and Wonder Woman are that they are both warrior princesses who wield mystical weapons, with their most known one being a sword (the Sword of Protection and the Sword of Athena, respectively). Both also fight for the ideals of truth and justice in the name of a higher power (Grayskull and Hera, respectively).
- Their respective series (Masters of the Universe and DC) have crossed over before, but they have yet to encounter each other.
- This battle was likely a commemoration for the final season of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power and the film Wonder Woman 1984 (which was initially set to release on June 5, 2020 before being delayed on December 25, 2020).
- This episode makes a cameo appearance in Batgirl VS Spider-Gwen, as Barbara is shown typing "PLZ DO HULK VS BROLY" in its comment section during the start of the fight. Said comment is also actually featured in the YouTube video's comment section.
- For three years, this was the last episode to have a blooper reel, as the COVID-19 pandemic prevented voice actors from recording in-person in future episodes which resulted in a lack of outtakes, until they eventually returned in Season 10 with Ant-Man VS Atom.
Errors
- Despite She-Ra taking top billing everywhere else, the prelude to the fight shows Wonder Woman on the left side and She-Ra on the right, which is typically reserved for first and second billing respectively.
- Strangely, the same error happened in Diana's previous episode.
