Tanjiro Kamado is the main protagonist of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series. He appeared in the 158th episode of Death Battle, Tanjiro VS Jonathan Joestar, where he fought against Jonathan Joestar from the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series.
History
Tanjiro Kamado was once a humble charcoal seller, living carefully and happily in the mountains with a good family. One snowy morning, however, Tanjiro would suffer a cruel tragedy when his whole family, save for himself and his sister Nezuko, were brutally massacred by a demon. He then found out that Nezuko had been transformed into a demon during the attack, and was attempted to be slain by the Demon Slayer, Giyu Tomioka. With his noble and heavy heart, Tanjiro protected Nezuko, and Giyu instructed him to seek out a man named Sakonji Urokodaki for training. It was then Tanjiro sought to become a Demon Slayer himself and find a way to restore Nezuko to humanity, taking up a sword and training his body, mind, and spirit to purge the demon responsible.
