Anthony "Tony" Masters, also known as the Taskmaster, is a supervillain from Marvel Comics. He appeared in the 41st episode and Season 3 Premiere of DBX, Gambit VS Taskmaster, where he fought against fellow Marvel mercenary Gambit.

History

Anthony "Tony" Masters was born with "photographic reflexes", the ability to perfectly copy the movements of others by merely observing them. Tony eventually became an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. when he was older, and during one mission, he found a dying scientist, who gave Tony an experimental Nazi version of the Super Soldier Serum, which he injected himself with. This serum would enhance his already incredible level of mimicry to an even higher level, potentially too much so, since the memories he gained by watching others began to overwrite his own memories. This led to him becoming the deadly mercenary known as "Taskmaster", while also being a combat instructor at his own academy. He has no morals or goals other than increasing his own wealth, which has caused him to constantly switch between the sides of good and evil, because no matter who hires him, he'll be sure to finish the job.
