- —The Traveler
Honorary Knight Aether/Lumine,[Note 1] also known as The Traveler, is the main protagonist of the Genshin Impact series. They will appear in an upcoming episode of Death Battle, Aang VS Traveler, where they will fight against Aang from the Avatar: The Last Airbender series.
History
Hailing from another world, the twins Aether and Lumine once spent their days joyfully traveling from one world to the next. One day, as they were about to leave the continent of Teyvat, they were stopped by a mysterious god who captured one of them and sealed the other's power away before sending them into a deep slumber. The latter, who would become known as the Traveler, eventually awoke in Teyvat, in a now completely unfamiliar land and time. Joined by Paimon as their travel guide, they began journeying across the world, seeking out the godly Archons in hopes they could help find their sibling. Although each nation they visit seems to bring them only a tiny bit closer to their goal, their efforts certainly have not been fruitless. Thanks to their unique ability to wield more than one element, the Traveler always seems responsible for saving every nation they step foot in from turmoil. But in order to save their sibling too, they will have to go to even greater lengths, exploring all of Teyvat and lands beyond, and even battling the gods themselves. They may not be quite sure what the future holds for them, but they and their sibling will be reunited — that much they are certain of.

Notes
- ↑ The Traveler's identity is dependent on which twin the player picks at the beginning of the game. Although Aether is primarily used in most promotional material, neither twin being the Traveler is explicitly canon.
It is currently unknown which one they will be depicted as in their upcoming Death Battle episode, as the episode's initial announcement title suggested it would be Aether, while the current render choice for the Kickstarter suggests it will be Lumine instead.
