So, it really has been a full year since I joined this Wiki. I met lots of really great people who mean a lot to me and I had a shitton of fun throughout this year (even if there were a lot of troll encounters). So what do I do to celebrate? Why not a most wanted list, that covers all MUs that I want?

Yes, I am making a Most Wanted list yet AGAIN.

Before we actually get into it, allow me to explain  why I am doing this in the first place. As you probably know, I have made a Top 100 turned Top 200 back in February 2021. At first, I was proud of what I had done, since I pretty much finished a huge list that people seemed to enjoy. However,overtime, I grew to dislike the list more and more, and now I have no idea why people said it was good to begin with. I barely went into any detail and most entries were stupidly short, I changed entries every nanosecond and as a result, there was no real order to it and was just me flip flopping what MU I have for a specific entry, and I just overall felt it was lacking in real meat or content and it overall didn’t have any that would get people to really check in on the list whenever a new update comes out. Honestly, I give that list a 4/10, it’s just bad.

So I thought ‘now that it is the one year anniversary of me on the Wiki why not do a Top 250? One that I will actually put time and effort into and not rush out? Yeah, that is what I will do.’ So that's how we got here.

While for the most part, this will be a similar list to the previous Top 200, some things will be different. The list will be MUCH longer and entries will take longer to make, meaning that there will be slower updates.So please, don’t  be impatient with this. I want to try and make this list actually good and with more content to it.

Also, this is going to be my last list and the definitive one. So do not expect me to make another one of these ever again.

Same rules still apply, such as being respectful towards my opinions and not being complete dicks (Hello, Last of us Man and every troll on the website). If you disagree with something on the list, cool.

Now without further ado, let’s get right into the Top 250!

Number 250: Spider-Gwen vs Jolyne Cujoh (Marvel vs Jojo's Bizarre Adventure)

Connections: Both are small animals that I like to squash themed string like thing users from a long line of heroes

Why I want this: Batgirl vs Spider-Gwen needs pretty much no introduction at this point. It’s become pretty notorious for being pretty bad, with some considering it one of the worst episodes in the whole series, alongside other classics such as Sub-Zero vs Glacius, Cammy vs Sonya, and Justin Beiber vs Rebecca Black. What do I think of the episode? I think that, while it is not of good quality (at most it would get a 4.5/10), it is FAR from being one of the worst episodes of the series, ESPECIALLY compared to other episodes considered ‘the worst’.

So yeah it is safe to say that Gwen is definitely in need of a return. The character did have potential for fun episodes, but was in my opinion wasted on Batman vs Spider-Man: Tit Edition. So when I heard of this MU appearing in Greek’s list, it caught my attention at first and eventually got a place as an MU I would genuinely want to see. The music potential has the… well, potential to be some spectacular stuff. There are multiple different pieces of music to take from to make a really fun fight track (such as Spider-Man's theme from MvC 3 and Stardust Crusaders to name two). The animation potential is also pretty good here as well. There could be some incredibly fun choreography with the fast paced web slinging throughout the environment. I also find that Jolyne would overall be better for Gwen, not just opponent wise, but in terms of fighting style complimenting. What I mean by that is, let’s compare Jolyne’s fighting style to that of the opponent we (sadly) got, Batgirl.

Batgirl is more… grounded (for lack of a better way of putting it). She primarily uses weapons and gadgets and whatnot to outsmart the enemy and take them out.

Jolyne on the other hand, is basically Jojo Spider-Man, web slinging and all.

Jolyne would just fit Gwen MUCH better than Batgirl and that could contribute to an incredibly fun episode with potential in all areas. So why is it this high on the list? Well, it’s mainly because Gwen can’t really see Jolyne’s stand, Stone Free. But Spider-Sense would be able to probably sense the attacks it does, so it isn’t much of a problem.

Roots: Gwen

Winner: Spider-Gwen. Stone Free is MUCH faster than Gwen and could get in a killing blow by blitzing her, but Spider-sense pretty much makes the chances of that happening go down to zero. Her having better overall stats doesn’t help in Jolyne’s case either.

Animation style: 2D

Soundtrack name: Into the Stone Ocean (thank you Pit)

Why I prefer this MU: Jolyne vs Spider-Girl is pretty much this, but imo not as fun and the Jojo Battle Royale makes me feel… uncomfortable. Something about family killing each other doesn’t sit right with me (some Jojos also have better opponents, that we will go into more detail about later). As for Gwen, Gwen vs Tawna is honestly boring to me.

How likely this will happen: 4/10. Gwen is pretty unlikely to return at this time (mostly due to her episode being pretty recent), but this is her most popular MU for if she does.

Number 249: Nakoruru vs Talim (Samurai Shodown vs SoulCalibur)

Connections: Both are kindhearted guardians from fighting games

Why I want this: I think most of us can agree that SoulCalibur is well overdue for a return to Death Battle. Both of the episodes that we did get... weren't exactly the best. Both had poor connections (Ivy vs Orchid basically being 'big booba' and Guts vs Nightmare being 'big co-I mean, sword') and the SoulCalibur characters losing with an incorrect verdict. So yeah, the series hasn't had the best record on thew show and the series returning for more episodes would be pog (and I should also note that this is far from the last SoulCalibur MU on this behemoth of a list). I have also recently been playing some Samurai Shodown and I have been enjoying it quite a lot and seeing the series on Death Battle would be really cool. So when I was reminded of this matchup's existence while writing down what MUs will be featured on this list, it became an MU that was pretty obvious for me to include.

The fight would overall just be an incredibly fun one. There is some incredibly fun animation potential with the fighting styles of the two characters meshing pretty well. There could be some really fun and fast paced action, with some fun moment with Mamahaha (Nakoruru's hawk sidekick, for those who don't Samurai Shodown) sprinkled in there as well. There is also some really great potential for a fast paced soundtrack, with The main themes of the characters both showing that the music potential for a music track combining both themes (which slap I might add) to be some incredibly great stuff. I don't really have much to add outside of the things I said, so let's move on to roots and who wins.

Roots: Both

Winner: Nakoruru. Both have similar stats overall (with the two basically being even in strength and durability), but Nakoruru is MUCH faster and would blitz Talim more times than not.

Animation style: 3D

Soundtrack name: Taking the Winds

Why I prefer this MU: Nakoruru vs Banjo-Kazooie is uh... yeah, no.

How likely this will happen: 2/10. This MU is really niche, with the only thing saving it from a one or zero being the lack of real competition.

Number 248: Edward Elric vs Joseph Joestar (Fullmetal Alchemist vs Jojo's Bizarre Adventure)

Connections: Both are master strategists that fight primarily using the environment around them, they both lost their arm and got them replaced with a metal one (Or just the hand in Joseph's case, but whatever), and they both seek to find and / or protect a powerful red stone.

Why I want this: Similar to Spider-Gwen, Edward Elric is a character that in my opinion was pretty much wasted on an MU that just.. isn't good. But unlike Spider-Gwen (who got stuck in a reskin of one of the only Season 1 episodes that still hold up), Edward got wasted on an MU with bland as hell connections with a subpar at best. and boring at worst episode, where he was basically flanderized in the animation with all of his dialogue pretty much recycling the same joke of 'haha he insecure about his height', which honestly does feel a little bit disrespectful. Don't get me wrong, I like it when jokes implemented into the fights (Geese's predictabo moments being examples of that done right), but making that the whole thing for the character in a fight is honestly kinda cringe.

So yeah, Ed is a character I really want to return, and Joseph Joestar is his best opponent for that. There is some fun. and interesting animation potential here, combining the creative alchemy of Ed with the more 'outsmart the opponent hard' approach of Joseph. I have a few dies of moments in a fight that would be col, such as Joseph trying to outwit a golem Ed created, that could be really coo to see. There is some fun music potential as well. Elements of Alchemy, while not bad per se, is for the most part a more underwhelming track (especially when you compare to other tracks from the same season, like Winter Sonata and Falcon Uncaged). However, one thing that it does really well is show that the Fullmetal Alchemist series does have potential for a really good and fun DB track to accompany a really fun fight. There is also some absolutely amazing banter and interaction potential. Seeing Ed's stuck up and stubborn personality clash with Joseph's more goofy personality would be incredibly fun and provide for some incredibly funny moments (hopefully at least the majority not relying on the 'EEd is short' joke). I mean, who doesn't want to see how Ed reacts to the 'your next line is' shtick?

Roots: Joseph

Winner: Joseph Joestar. Edward is MUCH more powerful, but Joseph's speed, slightly higher endurance, and hax would give him a victory, though not without difficulty.

Animation style: 2D

Why I prefer this MU: Spider-Man vs Joseph is a fun idea, but Spidey really doesn't need to return. His other MUs don't fair much better, Johnny Cage is meh, Trevor Belmont is just boring, Jojo BR makes me feel uncomfortable for reasons I went more in depth about earlier, and Star-Lord is also meh. As for Ed boy, Tanjiro is pretty good but not as fun as this and Harry Potter is why.

How likely this will happen: 7/10. Joseph is a character I do see coming to the show at some point and this is his most popular opponents (with the competition not really being on par with it in popularity), so I can see this happening at some point.

Number 247: Nathaniel Bandy vs Scott The Woz

Connections: Both are Nintendo themes YouTubers who go on weird adventures, while also praising aa specific game in an iconic series like a religion (Smash Bros Melee and Madden 08 respectively)

Why I want this: So, you know how the majority of people have at least one guilty pleasure MU that, despite not being orthodox (for lack of a better word), you still like because you feel it could genuinely be a fun episode? Yeah, this is my guilty pleasure MU. But to explain why I like this MU, we need to go more in depth about it.

Honestly at first, I just brushed this off as a joke fight that would just stay s a distant. memory. However, one day for shits and giggles, I decided to look more into this MU because why not and the more I did more I did, the more it genuinely intrigued me and I started wanting it more and more. 'But Dan, why do you like this fight as much as you do?' you are probably asking. Well, let's talk about that.

Firstly is something that you would never expect to talk about in a list like this... analysis potential. What I mean is, the analysis can be one of the most unique to date. It could be similar to that of Smokey vs McGruff, where Wiz and Boomstick take more unorthodox characters and analyze them like your typical video game, anime, or comic book character. But I do think this fight has something that Smokey vs McGruff doesn't... the characters actually work in a VS setting. One thing I disliked about the Smokey vs McGruff analysis was that the characters were not fit for the show. Most feats they had were based on what their respective species could do, with the only other things being assumptions or the time stopping stuff (which I think was more the editing of the PSA rather than the character themselves, I don't think the government was trying to appeal to Sakuya simps while making their ads, but I digress). Scott and Nathaniel don't have that issue and as a result, the analysis could be what Smokey vs McGruff couldn't... not boring. Also, as a fan of both, seeing DB try to do an analysis on them would be cool.

Next we have animation potential. Their is a surprising amount of stuff you could do. You could lean towards the more skit based part of the two series, where the fight consists of the two going through set piece after set piece, with a batshit insane ending. 'But Dan, there is no potential in this fight!' Well, I actually disagree. While I do see why people aren't fans of this MU, I feel that people do underestimate the animation potential a lot. For starters, there have been many points throughout each respective series that she that there is potential for a fun as hell fight. You could have Nathaniel Bandy with his keyblade (yes he actually uses one) fighting against Scott in. giant robot like in his Anime Games video, with the two flying around, destroying the environment around them. This is merely can example on how this fight could be one of the best in the series.

Next we have music. The music potential is also surprisingly a plenty. You could have plenty of references to their own themes, obviously. But you could also have moments where some games that are iconic to each show get referenced. Games like Mario, Dick Vitale's Awesome Baby College Hoops, and hell, you could throw in Flingsmash and Melee for memes. There is potential for an incredibly uniqued and varied music track that would be unlike anything seen before.

'But DAAAAAN, it would be disrespectful to Scott and Nathaniel!' Again, while I do see where you're coming from, that's implying DB would do it without Scott or Caddy being involved. I don't think Ben would go on to do this without making sure the two were okay with it, so that's honestly a non-factor to me.

Yeah, overall, this is an incredibly underrated MU that would be really fun to see.

Roots: Both

Winner: Nathaniel Bandy. This MU is actually incredibly close and will probably be one of, if not THE, most debatable one on this list due to how surprisingly debatable it is. Both of these characters are consistently Universal, with Scott survived the universe collapsing on itself and a timeline getting reset, while Nathaniel has some reality warping shit he gained via defeating the already Uni level Bup (yes that's his name). So both are pretty much even in strength, speed, and durability. However, Nathaniel does barely squeeze out a win thanks to showing better fighting skill and experience, as well as having a more versatile arsenal

Animation style: uh... LA? Though they could pull an animation style change, preferably to 2D.

Why I prefer this MU: I used to like Scott vs Caddicarus, but I think Nathaniel provides a better opponent for Scott overall.

How likely this will happen: 0/10. ha.

Number 246: Pete vs Bluto (Mickey Mouse vs Popeye the Sailor Man)

Connections: Both are big bullies who acted who were jerks for the sake of it and were the villains to iconic cartoon characters that have been in the game since the early to mid 1900s.

Why I want this: Honestly, this fight would just be incredibly fun. Not only does it have most things that make toon force fights fun (at least to me), but it could just be a stupidly enjoyable episode.

To start, the animation potential. It's honestly pretty fun. While not as varied in that category as other toon force fights that we will get into later, there is still plenty of fun to be had. There are quite a few fight scenes that prove the lack of real arsenals isn't an issue. To give you a better image, imagine Hulk vs Broly... but toon force. In all seriousness, that's the best way I could really give am image with how an animation would be for this fight. You could have Pete and Bluto just fuck over reality, like Bluto digging through the ground getting good hits on Pete before he goes down and manages to confuse and get a good meaty hit on Bluto, you could have Pete and Bluto chucking planets at each other, you could even have either Pete or Bluto turn off reality (as a reference to the Popeye short where the Sailor Man... does exactly that) there is so much you could do, to the point where the more limited arsenals aren't a problem. The banter would also be really fun, where they basically throw incredibly basic insults at each other to really bring the whole 'basic bullies' theme of the characters and nothing more (hell if you really wanted to go all the way, you could sprinkle in things that would've been effective in the 1940s, back when these characters were at their peak. Honestly, something about an episode of Death Battle where a combatant says 'belly up' is stupid and I love it.)

Music potential is also apparent as well. You gotta have something like Appetite for Greed, it could really sell the goofiness of the characters and the general toe f the fight, a lighthearted primarily fist to fist battle where reality just gets completely buttfucked.

Roots: Bluto

Winner: Bluto. This is a surprisingly debatable fight from what I've seen. Both are pretty even in overall speed and strength, however, Bluto has one thing that does give him an edge over Pete: Endurance. Bluto has taken hits from a fully powered up Popeye, who has star level feats and even turned reality off with the flick of a switch (as mentioned earlier), so that alone give him the edge over Pete, although Bluto's W won't be without plenty of difficulty.

Animation style: HD (anything other than that is illegal)

Soundtrack name: Palooka Scuffle

Why I prefer this MU: Pete vs Bowser is a big why and Lord Boros vs Bluto is somehow worse.

How likely this will happen: 7/10. While other Mickey MUs would take priority, Pete is pretty much THE antagonist of the Mickey verse, so I would say he has a decent shot at making the cut for DB and this is his most popular MU, so yeah.

Number 245: Riku vs Cecil (Kingdom Hearts vs Final Fantasy)

Connections: Both are gray haired swordsmen who were both used to do the dirty work for a major antagonist of their home game (Maleficent and the Red Wings respectively) that struggle to tame the darkness within them at first, but through the help of a young girl they meet on their travels (Namine and Rydia respectively), they begin to walk the path of redemption, even gaining an honourific that proved their worth (Riku becoming a Keyblade Master and Cecil becoming a Paladin), with both eventually using their new power to put an end to the villains that abused their talents.

Why I want this: Riku is one of those characters where, despite being a character that a lot of people want to see in Death Battle, nobody has a set opponent for him. While we will go a bit more in depth about his other choices later, so all I'll say... some of them aren't exactly the best. But going back on track, when this MU was first brought to my attention, I was immediately intrigued. So when I decided to look more into Riku and Cecil (since I don't KH all too well and I never even heard of Cecil until now) and it all clicked.

There is some incredible animation potential here, with the insane magical abilities these two have. Seeing the bullshit of Kingdom Hearts against the higher up shit of Final Fantasy would be incredibly cool. Both also have some incredible versatility, Riku with his magic and Cecil with his... pretty much everything, so seeing that versatility in a fight would be amazing. There are plenty of interesting moments that could happen, such as seeing all of Cecil's weaponry and how it would go up against Riku's one incredibly broken weapon, the Keyblade. Their is also some interesting contrast between the magic of the combatants, while Riku's magic is your typical fire attack, ice attack, thunder, light attacks, and dark attacks where he plays his cards more strategically; Cecil primarily has magic such as Souleater, where he has to go more up close and give more direct blows. This could provide an interesting dynamic, where at first Riku tries to use magic t keep Cecil at a distance, but that. doesn't work and Riku starts fighting up close getting an upper hand. As a result, Cecil slowly uses more powerful weaponry until he. wields Deathbringer and the two havre their final clash. This would be a really cool fight.

Also, it goes without saying that the music potential would be fucking amazing. It's Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, how could the music not be amazing?

Roots: Riku

Winner: Riku. Cecil is overall more experienced and versatile, but Riku's higher stats and more effective healing abilities give him the W.

Animation style: 3D

Why I prefer this MU: Riku vs Meta Knight is why and Riku vs Sasuke is okay, but Sasuke doesn't need to return.

Number 244: Pyra vs Nero (Xenoblade Chronicles vs Fate)

Connections: Both are red cladded pyrokinetic sword wielding waifus that are bounded with the protagonist after they themselves died and came back from death (Pyra sharing her life force to rex and Hakuno after dying in last encore and later becoming Nero's master) that both have summon them to aid them in battle. Said are able to manipulate their  worlds natural occurring energy (Either and Magic)  And are bound to their masters life force in a way (Pyra being bound to rex and Nero having to drain Hakuno's magic. which last i remember  is part of a mage's life force). Furthermore, with their partners to embark to seek out a mystical place/artifact respectively (Elysium & The Holy Grail respectively) and both participated wars that left a historic impact on their world sdo to the absurd powers of the Blades/Servants respectively (The Aegis War & Nero being in one of the many Holy Grail Wars).

Why I want this: I think we are pretty overdue for a Fate character on Death Battle. Despite not really being all too mainstream, it's still a pretty big franchise overall that has gained a big following and people have been requesting to get into Death Battle for as long as the show's existed. This matchup was a Fate MU that was slowly but surely gaining my interest and so I decided to put it on the list.

Animation potential is pretty high with this one. Xenoblade gets really stupid at times and Nero is from Fate/Extra, so seeing all the sheer stupidity of both series clash in a fight would be great. There is some really fun swordplay you could do, with Pyra's over the top attacks lending to fun moments with Nero, who is keeping up with. all of this, even when Pyra busts. out her most powerful attacks. Their swordplay could mesh really well overall and could lead to an insane sword fight that could lead to a lot of flashy and over the top action. Music potential is just spectacular, with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 having some damn good tracks and Fate just having plenty of music potential in general.

Roots: Pyra

Winner: Nero. stets.

Animation style: 3D

Soundtrack name: Purifying Encore

Why I prefer this MU: Saber Battle Royale apparently exists... that's all I can say about it.

How likely this will happen: 2/10. It has gained a decent following, but neither Pyra or Nero themselves are really requested all too much.

Number 243: EVA-01 vs Wing Gundam Zero (Neon Genesis Evangelion vs Mobile Suit Gundam)

Connections: Both are angel-themed, iconic, and just generally genre defining anime mecha from the 90s piloted by a troubled teenager who has an arc about learning how to deal with the responsibility.

Why I want this: Neon Genesis Evangelion is a series that in my opinion, is pretty overdue for a episode on Death Battle. The series was a key part on putting mochas anime on the map as we know it, so seeing the series get represented on the show would just be great. And who better to be the character to rep the series than the main character himself, Shinji Akari? Nobody. When this MU was first introduced to my radar, I was interested, as it was a Shinji MU with actual connections that aren't just 'big things.'

However, the fact that it actually has connections isn't the main reason I wanted it. Honestly, I just want more badass mech fights. Episodes such as Tigerzord vs Gundam Epyon and Optimus vs Gundam have shown that the Gundam series, and mech series or mech related MUs in general, have really top notch potential for some really great animation and fun analysis, with this one being no different. Firstly, analysis potential for EVA-01 would be really high. You could have the two hosts try to wrap their head around the (let's be real, for the most part meaningless) symbolism and the insane turns the series took. It could be fun for Wiz and Boomstick to make sense out of it. Next, animation potential. Like I said earlier, Tigerzord vs Epyon and Optimus vs Gundam both proved mech or giant ass robot MUs would work spectacularly, with this being no exception. There is plenty of potential for an incredibly fast paced fight f filled with some fun giant robot action.

Also, there is a possibility that we could get a rock rendition of A Cruel Angel's Thesis in the music track, which would be made based and poggers.

Roots: Burning Gundam

Winner: EVA-01. He outstats.

Animation style: 3D

Soundtrack name: Cruel Angels of Destruction

Why I prefer this MU: I would like EVA-01 vs Godzilla, if the connections weren't as piss poor as they are. Also, Shinji vs Tetsuo is a big why.

How likely this will happen: 3/10. Godzilla is the MUCH more popular EVA-01 MU, so...

Number 242: Adam Taurus vs Jetstream Sam (RWBY vs Metal Gear)

Connections: Both are samurai who wield red, durability negating katanas and have a pretty fucked up sense of justice.

Why I want this: RWBY is a series I have a tad bit of history with. I used to be one of the more expressive about my hate for the show on the Wiki and Discord and I would mention my hatred for it every chance I get. However, recently, I decided to take a step back and rewatch the entire series from the beginning to the end of Volume 8 and I do think I was way too harsh on it. While it isn't an absolutely top tier series (overall, I'd give the series a 6.5), but I am warming up to it as a whole. Sure some characters do take a dip in quality in the later volumes (like Yang who nowadays basically wants to smash the Faunus pussy and nothing else), but the absolutely godlike animation and music make up for it. However, there is one thing that I have consistently hated: Adam Taurus. He's honestly one of my least favorite villains in fiction...so naturally I would want him on Death Battle so that we could get more voice clips of Boomstick staying his name.

So when I started seeing this MU, I was colored intrigued and it eventually became something I did arm up too heavily. Their is a lot of potential for an incredibly fast paced sword fight, however, this one would me unique com pared to the rest in my opinion, as both of their swords negate normal defenses, meaning that. the us a case where one big hit means a dead ass man, so this could be a more defense bed fight, where the two don't land any significant hit during the battle until the end, where the winner of the fight outwits the opponent and gets a good slice in. That could provide a more interesting dynamic for an incredibly fun fight that would be difficult to replicate for most other swordfights.

Also, the music would be so fucking goooood. RWBY and Metal Gear have some absolutely amazing music tracks, so seeing the RWBY and MGR soundtracks combine to make an amazing rock track (with lyrics if you want idk) would be based and cool.

Roots: Sam

Winner: Jetstream Sam. I'm just gonna say now, saying shit like 'he blitzes' and 'he outstats' his definitely gonna get boring as fuck after a while, so I'll just say something that won't shave as many seconds out of my life... good? Good. Now... bletz.

Animation style: 2D

Soundtrack name: Blades of Revengance

Why I prefer this MU: don't think it, don't say it, don't think it, don't say it, don't think it, don't say it, don't think it, don't say-wait, what do you means Peter Griffin vs Adam Taurus isn't real?...fuck.

How likely this will happen: 8/10. It's a popular RWBY MU, that alone should be enough to explain the high rating.

Number 241: Boom Sonic vs Ghostly Adventures Pac-Man (Sonic Boom vs Pac-Man and The Ghostly Adventures)

Connections: Both are failed interpretations of iconic video game characters (Sonic and Pac-Man... obviously) that existed in the mid 2010s and were critically panned by fans of each respective series.

Why I want this: This is an MU that goes way back for me. This was inn my Top 5 Most Wanted way back in mid 2010s, when I was starting to get moe into the fandom of the show and actually taking things more seriously. While some of my old requests.... were shit (they included classics such as Rosalina vs Suicune, Rayman vs NiGHTS, and Mii vs Xbox Avatar), this is one of the MUs I requested back in those days that were actually good and want.

This fight would just be really fun. There is a lot of fun banter and interaction potential between the two and we also have plenty of really fun animation potential. GA Pac-Man has a lot (and I mean A LOT) of different Power Pellets that grant him different abilities, such as fire, ice, turning into a giant granite ball, and turning into a weird chameleon hybrid to name a few and Boom Sonic still has the same speedy fighting style the Sonic is known, plus the Enerbeam, which is basically a the love child grappling hook and a whip for those who u̶n̶d̶e̶r̶s̶t̶a̶n̶d̶a̶b̶l̶y̶ don't Sonic Boom. All of the new abilities these two have compared to their counterparts makes this fight differ quite a bit compared their original's MUs. There is plenty of stuff that you can do with said abilities, like Chameleon Pac-Man disarming Boom Sonic and using the Enerbeam against him, Granite Ball Pac-Man clashing with a spin dash, Planet Pac-Man... there are a lot of opportunities to make a really enjoyable fight with fun interactions.

Number 240: Joker vs Giorno (Persona vs Jojo's Bizarre Adventure)

Connections: Both are the main protagonist in the fifth story of the series (Persona and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) and both are the leader of a group and both do have their trusty Persona/Stand (Arsene and Gold Experience), and both Joker and Giorno were outcasts due to different reasons (Joker being framed for a crime he didn't do and Giorno being abused) and became the leader of notorious teams (The Phantom Thieves and Team Bucciarati)

Why I want this: This MU is one that needs pretty much no introduction. It's an absolute juggernaut of a request and is THE Jojosona MU that pretty much made that rivalry a thing that (thankfully) overtook Jojovania for the big Jojo rivalry. People praise this MU to no end... but it is also an incredibly controversial MU (I probably don't even need to explain why). What do I think of the MU?

It's pretty good. It's got creative animation potential with Joker's various personas and GER's stupidly broken abilities, some amazing music potential as The Golden Fool proved, and more Persona in Death Battle is what I like to called based and poggers. While yes, there is a possibility that creative liberties will have to be taken for Giorno and yes the debate is actual hell on earth, but those are some pretty minor flaws, this MU overall is really good and I would bust if it happened. I really don't have much to say. for this particular entry, I just like this MU and have nothing to add that fellow Gioker fans haven't said.

Also, get used too seeing 'Persona' because you will be seeing that series a LOT.

Okay, in all seriousness, there is a reason why the debate is considered torture to pretty much everyone. That's pretty much thanks to one thing: Golden Experience Requiem. While in my opinion using GER is perfectly fine, the problem is that we really don't know much about it. GER only really shows up at the end of JJBA Part 5 where it fucks over Diavolo, then pisses off. So it's full extent of abilities is really vague and as a result, deciding a clear verdict is like finding a piece hay in a needle stack, but they forgot tippet the piece of hay in there in the first place, in other words... it's impossible.

However, if I had to choose a victor, I would go with Giorno. While yes we don't really know much about GER and Joker creamates in overall stats, what we do know about GER ad what it ca do Joker doesn't have immunity to. Meaning that Giorno would outhax the Phantom Thief of Hearts more likely than not.

Animation style: 2D (doing this in 3D means we will have to use Jump Force GER models and that is...ew)

Why I prefer this MU: Both Joker and Giorno have a lot of opponents... with majority of them not being good. Neku is alright but he has better, Black Rock Shooter is meh, Velvet Crowe has better, DC Joker is no, and Sans... As for Giorno, Touma is pretty meh as well.

How likely the will happen: 9/10. This fight is immensely popular and heavily requested, I'd say it has a shot of making the cut for Season 9.

Number 239: Mitsurugi vs Haohmaru (SoulCalibur vs Samurai Shodown)

Connections: Both are fighting game samurai and they look similar ig.

Why I want this: Yeah I'll admit, the connections are for the most part petty barebones. But everything else about this MU is so good, that I could let that slide (the fact that there aren't many fighting game samurai out there helps as well).

Simply put, this fight has a lot of potential. Samurai Jack vs Afro Samurai proved that samurai MUs can provide for incredibly episodes, so why not do another one but this time for fighting game samurai? However, this wouldn't just be a fast. paced fight like with Jack vs Afro. SoulCalibur is one of the more strategic fighting games, where you try to maneuver around the opponent, get good hits in ad land the killing blow... or just be like me and mash buttons like a psychopath and somehow beat arcade mode without getting K.Oed once. Samurai Showdown is definetily more fast paced yes, but the differing ways of fighting doesn't harm this MU. In fact, it helps make it more unique. Mitsurugi's slower more strategic approach, trying to outwit Haohmaru's more fast paced. style of fighting that's just trying to overpower Mitsurugi is a really cool dynamic that. I feel should be shown more in Death Battle, as it could lead to some fun results. Also music potential is really good and all that stuff. The banter would also be really fun, with how cheesy Mitsurugi is, it could also lead to fun interactions.

Number 238: Kagura vs Roselia (Senran Kagura vs Trails of Cold Steel)

Connections: Both are nearly millennia old beings from ancient clans who have a crimson motif, are the subject of legends passed down through time, have reincarnated at least once, have a history of slaying supernatural monsters that they bear a connection to, and have lives that are tied to ancient artifacts.

Why I want this: 'Wait a minute... TheDanMan2, the guy who avoids sex like the plague, putting an MU with Senran Kagura n his list? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!'

Okay now the we got that out of the way, this is a fight that the I first heard about it, it caught my interest. It was at this point where I was paying more attention to the Trails of Cold Steel series and wanting to learn more about the series, which in turn made me want more TOCS MUs to happen. So when PitTheSwordmaster put this on his Top 200 list, I was immediately in love with this MU. There is interaction potential galore here, with both of their personalities practically oozing potential for fun banter during an fight. The animation potential is also absolutely amazing, with their abilities meshing incredibly well and the fight could just be an absolute spectacle and one of the best fights on the show. The music potential is just absolutely spectaculr,m as both series have some pog as hell tracks. Some of which including hWho Will Surpasse Me? , Beyond Light and Darknessk, and Seductive Shudder to name a few. All of these music pieces show that the music track for this MU could be absolutely amazing and some of the good shit.

Winner: Roselia? I don't really know much about Senran Kagura or Paths of Freezing Iron, but the general conscious is that TOCS stats > Senran Kagura stats, so ig Roselia wins.

Number 237: Jin Kisaragi vs Ky Kiske (Blazblue vs Guilty Gear)

Connections: Sword wielding rivals to the protagonists that have mastery over a specific element (Ice and Lightning respectively)

Why I want this: Hello and welcome to the first of the many Blazblue MUs on this list. But all jokes aside, Blazblue is one of those series where you could just give me an MU with remotely good potential for a fun animation, and I'll just eat it up like a ravenous wolf. It's not even one of my favorite series of all time or anything like that (hell, I've only played one game in the whole series lol), but for some reason, it's a series where I love 8/10 of the MUs involving it that have been brought to my attention (and you could partially blame Makotofanboy for that. Thank you man, very cool.). There will be some more unique Blazblue fights later down the line (so get used to it fast), but for the first. one on this list, we have amore basic pick.

This fight is one that I really enjoy. Not only is your Blazblue bullshit present, but you combine that with the bullshit of it's biggest rival, Guilty Gear and you got yourself a combination for Ann incredibly fun fight. The swordsmanship and elemental mastery of the two combatants could maker an incredibly fun fight. You could have plenty of interesting choreography with their swords and combining that with the insane hax and elemental attacks they have. There is also some really fun music potential as well, the Blazblue and Guilty Gear series can really lend themselves to some amazing music tracks for a neat rock track with elements of songs from each series to create something that would be a joy to listen to.

Also, unlike majority of other Blazblue MUs, its debatable which is based. Don't get me wrong, the fact that something is a stomp is something I don't give a shit about, but debatability is cool.

Number 236: Morgana vs Daroach (Persona vs Kirby)

Connections: Both are thieves that are part of notorious groups throughout their respective universe (Phantom Thieves and Squeak Squad respectively). Also, cat and mouse theme.

Why I want this: Morgana... oh Morgana. You have a rather... shoddy MU list. Your first MU (and your most popular for a long time) was a generic Jojosona MU with nothing making it stand out from the crowd, with the runner up being... a Jojosona MU with nothing making it stand out from the crowd. Damn. However, this wouldn't last forever, as friend of mine CSK ended up pitching this MU on the DBW Discord and when it was mentioned, it was practically love at first sight. Not only does it give a more obscure villain the spotlight, but it gives us a good MU for a character that would be cool to see in DB (which is ironic, since I really dislike Morgana as a character lol).

But all joking aside, I really like this MU. The animation potential can be this incredibly fast paces fight, that could play off the cat and mouse stereotype and subvert, by having Daroach get an advantage at first, maneuvering and dodging any and all advances made by Morgana and getting in some good hits, but then Morgana managing to catch Daroach, before the two are pretty much even upon until the end where we could have something. similar o that of Ryu vs Strider, where the two hit each other, with one getting a good one and finishing them off in a flashy and brutal fashion. The music potential for this one practically goes without saying as well. Both Persona and Kirby have godly music that would be incredibly amazing. Life Will Change, Rivers in the Desert, and of course, Last Surprise for Morgana; as well as Here Comes The Squeaks, Oncoming Peril, and Daroach's own boss theme show that both series have great music and I feel they could,d combine for something absolutely amazing, even with the differing styles.

Why I prefer this MU: Morgana vs Dex-Starr gets a solid okay/10 for me and Morgana vs Iggy is a big no.

How likely this will happen: 7/10. It has pretty much overtaken Iggy and Dex-Starr as Morgana's most popular MU, so I'd say it's pretty likely.

Number 235: Gwenpool vs Haruko (Marvel vs FLCL)

Connections: Both are Zany extra-terrestrial 4th-wall breakers with crazy arsenals who travel throughout their universe in order to assimilate an important person.

Why I want this: This fight could just be some absolutely amazing fourth wall breaking fun. I have always had an interest in fourth wall aware characters on the show, Sure, the joke of 'haha Wiz and Boomstick are afraid of the fourth wall'. does get tiring, but seeing just what fight between two characters aware they are in a VS show that people wish would give DC an L for some reason could possibly be like. We already have shown what that could be like with Deadpool vs Pinkie Pie and Deadpool vs The Mask, but the former was a little thing we like to call average and the latter was basically parody of spite matchups. So seeing an MU that's not a parody or... Deadpool vs Pinkie Pie would be really fun, with this being no exception.

The animation potential is just absolutely spectacular. There could be an interesting fighting dynamic, with Gwenpool at first getting slaughtered by Haruko thanks to her raw stat advantages, but as time goes on, Gwenpool could steal many different weapons and abilities from other Marvel heroes. Haruko, noticing that Gwenpool is slowly but surely overpowering her, so she just goes 'fuck the fourth wall, all my homies hate the fourth wall' and just breaks out of the video, with Gwen following suite and then they just go full Deadpool vs Pinkie Pie, infiltrating other Death Battles and interfering with other fights. You could have something like Gwen and Haruko utilizing Mario and Sonic powerups in like Double Cherries in Mario vs Sonic 2018 or maybe they go into Deadpool vs Deathstroke, where DP and GP team up and start absolutely beating Haruko into the dirt. There are plenty of possibilities for this fight, on top of some fun as hell music potential and amazing interaction potential, and who got yourself a really fun, enjoyable, reality fucking battle.

Roots: Both, leaning Haruko

Winner: Gwenpool. Haruko does have a big advantage in raw stats, but Gwenpool's hax just completely buttfucks Haruko's chances of victory five ways from Sunday.

Animation style: yes.

Number 234: Eternatus vs King Ghidorah (Pokémon vs Godzilla)

Connections: Both are world ending, multiheaded space dragons who came to earth via meteor to destroy the planet long ago, but were defeated and lay dormant. But thousands of years later, they were awakened by extremists with good intentions, and both proved to be uncontrollable and ran amok. Both have the power to send other monsters on a rampage (Dynamax Energy and King Ghidorah's roar), and both are among the largest of their series monsters.

Why I want this: King Ghidorah is a character that, while Ido think is inevitable for the show, has the problem of having no real good opponent. I mean, her does have opponents (that we will take more about later), but none of them are exactly the greatest. So when Random Splatoon 2 Fan put this Mu in his recent most wanted list, I was really interested and it became an MU I genuinely started wanting a lot.

This fight just has some amazing potential. Kaiju fights are something we definetily we need more of. We only had two which, while both are some really good stuff, the last one we had was way back two YEARS ago. So it would be a breath of fresh air, with this MU being an incredibly fun one. The Dragon Ball-esque beams the two could have would lend to an absolute spectacle of a fight, with some amazing beam. struggles, with a big final one that could have all the heads of the dragons contributing and the entire solar system getting destroyed, with the victor flying in space victorious. I would also go more in depth about the music potential, but I could just link Dynamax Terror and get the same point across, so that is exactly what I'm going to do.

Roots: Ghidorah

Winner: King Ghidorah. Ghidorah will more than likely get composited in a similar vain to that of Mechagodzilla back in his episode, so that's how I decided the verdict. With that in mind, it was a pretty clear cut victory for Ghidorah. He had overall better stats and hax.

Number 233: Victor S Arseid vs Sterkenburg Cranach (Trails of Cold Steel vs Atelier)

Connections: Both are one of the strongest swordsmen of their respective nations who have a strong sense of duty and are somewhat handicapped from near-crippling injuries.

Why I want this: When I try to like obscure MUs, I go for ones with characters or series that I actually have knowledge. Take Kagura vs Roselia for example, I have played Senran Kagura games (one of which giving me war flashbacks) and I have. been wanting to learn more about TOCS as of late. This MU is a pretty similar case, where not only does it give me an excuse to learn more about Walkways of Ice Cold Metal, but I have also played a few Atelier games in the. past (ironically noineof them having Sterk in them, but I digress).

This is also going to be a shorter entry than the others because to be completely honest I don't have much to say at all. It has some really fun animation potential for an incredible swordfight, some really amazing music potential thanks to TOCS (as shown earlier) having kickass music that would fit really well messed with Atelier, more obscure series getting the spotlight (which is always a joy to see), and it's. overall a really fun and badass as all hell MU. Again, I don't have much to say, so I do apologize for the shorter than usual length.

Roots: Sterk ig since I've actually played an Atelier game

Winner: Victor S Arseid. Sterkenburg has a massive power advantage, but Arseid's speed and hax can overwhelm Sterk with relative ease. Also, Sterkenburg's name is stupid >:(

Number 232: Perry vs Skipper (Phineas and Ferb vs Madagascar)

Connections: Both are semi-aquatic animals that are also secret agents.

Why I want this: I think that it's safe to say we are in need for more cartoon and animated movie MUs. Both of these medias aren't really used to often, with the most recent one we got being Zuko vs Todoroki last year and while yes we are more than likely going to get Steven vs Star this season, that's still only one MU in a sea did comic books, video games, and anime. Animated movies on the other hand, have had a grand total of zero episodes (which is thankfully going change with Po vs Iron Fist being the next episode, which is something I'm really excited for.) So finally having that specific type of movie (I didn't know how else to word that, fuck off) being represented would be great. So yeah, this MU was one that I started liking a lot. But not just for the reason of getting a character from an animated film.

there is plenty of fun you could have with this one. First things first, the music potential. You could have a cheesy over the top track, reminiscent of old spy movies likes Mission Impossible, and you could have elements of Perry's own theme at the end (because he wins lol). It could just be a really fun track. Next, the animation potential, which is also apparent. There is plenty that you could do with this. You could have them start off with more ranged attacks, but eventually get more up close and fight each other with their martial arts in a a fast paces fist to fist brawl. There is plenty that you could do with such a simple concept and an episode of this MU would just be really fun to see.

Why I prefer this MU: Perry vs Kitty Katswell is an MU I found out existed 5 minutes ago at the time of me writing and idk what to say about outside of it exists apparently.

How likely this will happen: 6/10. Both series have fallen into irrelevancy, but this is still a decently popular MU with plenty of requests, so I wouldn't be surprised if it happens at some point in the future.

Number 231: Kaine Parker vs Shana (Marvel vs Shakugan No Shana)

Connections: Both are people who carry title of hero, their actions were anything but (at least at first) who Clad in (or associated with) the color red, blade wielding warriors care little about human life who eventually despite their indifferent personalities are now willing to fight off evil and save the day.

Why I want this: While I am up for over the top MUs with cosmic level characters that can destroy universes and have a hax list longer than the wait for a Panty & Stocking season 2, I am also a guy who likes more simple fights. MUs featuring characters that, while not being super powerful and having much in versatility, can still provider an incredibly fun fight. Hell, we even saw an example of that with the last entry. This MU in particular is one of those cases, where it could still provide a fun fight despite not being cosmic in scale characters. This MU is one that I got hooked one thanks to the Brandon Yates commission and JackofAllTrades pushing for it.

I can def see why he would try take this popular because this is a really fun MU. There is some really good animation potential with how the two are a lot more aggressive, meaning thatI. could see this being a fight where the two take any and all chances they get to try. and mutilate the opponent, with Kaine getting an advantage at first due to being faster and Spider-Sense going brrrr but Shana gaining an upper hand by overwhelming Kaine, before the two start trying to slice off limbs or stab each other in vital areas, with the winner of the fight (Spoiler: it's Shana) managing to land the blow first and giving Kaine a brutal death. This could provide for a really fun fight that would be cool to see.

Roots: Kaine

Winner: Shana. Kaine Parker does have a decent speed advantage, but Shana's sheer power and versatility gives her an overwhelming advantage against Kaine and pretty much kills him on arrival.

Why I prefer this MU: Kaine vs Raphael is boring, moving on.

How likely this will happen: 5/10. While this MU does ave a cult following, it is still really obscure in the grand scheme of things. However, what keeps it from being a four or below is 1: the Brandon Yates commission giving this MU slightly more mainstream attention and 2: the only other notable competition for Kaine (Raphael) having a more popular MU (Elektra).

Number 230: Envy vs Shang Tsung (Fullmetal Alchemist vs Mortal Kombat)

Connections: Both are smug and manipulative soul stealers who serve a higher power.

Why I want this: Shag Tsung is one of the earliest combatants on the show, appearing in the very second episode of the entire show where he got his ass handed to him by a redhead in an episode that didn't exactly age the best. Now grated, being an early episode I the series does automatically make you dated (ESPECIALLY considering this was episode 2), however even by those standards it's not the best, with the stiff animation, health bars making the fight predictable, and Wiz and Boomstick sounding exactly the same doesn't help much either. So I'd say Shangy returning is justified, so when I stumbled across this MU while clicking random page on the Fanon Wiki, I was interested as to how it would go.

There is a lot of animation potential here with the shapeshifting abilities of the two fighters. There are so many combinations of powers you could have, with Envy's many transformations and Shang's vast amount of character transformation that he has acquired over the years. Banter would also be fun, with both of them having smug as hell personalities, with a slightly different touch to make them different from each other (with Envy being a bit more... unhinged and Shang Tsung just being a smug prick, but not to the point where I hate him) and provides for some fun exchanges.

Roots: Shang Tsung

Winner: Shang Tsung. He outstats and has overall better and more effective transformations.

Numbers 229: Ego vs Mogo (Marvel vs DC)

Connections: Both are sentient planets that are part of a corps meant to protect and serve the innocent, but aren’t always so moral themselves when it comes down to it.

Why I want this: This MU... this MU right here... is so goddamn stupid... that it is also amazing. But before we go more into why that is, we might as well briefly talk about Marvel vs DC. Not only is it a really big rivalry in general, but it has also become a rather controversial genre of MU. The rivalry is now only known as 'the one rivalry DB does a lot' and not much else, to the point where people don't want DC vs Marvel at all... which is dumb. I really don't want to get really in depth about this since I just don't want to start a flame war, so all I'm gonna say is that I don't get the hate.

Now that we talked about that for a moment, let's get into the MU, which as I mentioned earlier is stupid as fuck in all the right ways. First things first, interaction potential. There's a lot of it. Ego's narcissism and Mogo's more straight man attitude could lend itself to incredibly fun interactions. There are any things you could do, like Ego basically going on a massive ramble about how eating planets is his duty with Mogo making some comment in return. There are plenty of other ways the banter between the two can go and that is pog.

The animation potential is just amazing as well. Ego has some really overpowered telekinetic abilities and the ability to freely mold his mass and Mogo is a Green Lantern with all of the versatility and broken abilities like time traveling. This could lead to an incredibly fun and goofy fight that could put other cosmic level fights to shame with the sheer absurdity of it all. The choreography could also be absolutely amazing, with Ego using tentacles while Mogo summons chains, however Mogo gets an upper hand due to just being a green lantern, before Ego just decided 'fuck it' and tries to take a bite out of Mogo to no avail, that could be a funny moment. Overall, it could just be fun.

Roots: Mogo

Winner: Ego? Both Ego and Mogo are at the high of herald tier and on the lower end of skyfather tier, I think Ego would win due to slightly higher stats? Admittedly, I'm not entirely sure.

However, this fight has enough going for it that bare connections doesn't matter in my opinion. That and it has it's own unique theme, which evens out the lacking connections, but I digress.

There is potential for an incredibly fun fight here. You could have some fun interactions with Anubis trying to capture Wolf but only for him to try and escape the. bounty hunter. However, you could have something like Wolf noticing that Crueger already captured all of the other Star Wolf members or him landing a combo which makes him bleed to show Wolf that this new challenger was going to try and get him no matter what, so he then fights the ranger. This could be uninteresting way to start off the fight. You could also have an interesting dynamic where Anubis has a more civilized fighting style, looking for ways to catch Wolf off guard and lands some big hits, while Wolf just goes in claws and guns swinging, just wanting to end this brawl quickly. After Wolf lands a bunch of hits that make Crueger bleed, he busts out his Megazord, with Wolf busting out th Arwing, dodging and weaving all of Shadow Ranger's attempts at getting him and it just escalates from there. There is a lot of potential for a fun fight. Also, music potential is great, Power Rangers and StartFox have some great music and seeing those two things combine for a fun battle track would be amazing.

Winner: Wolf. Anubis does outstat by a good margin on foot, but once Wolf busts to the Arwing or (god forbid) the Landmaster, even with his zord, Crueger is dead.

Why I prefer this MU: Wolf vs Kano is legit pretty boring to me, if I'm gonna be honest.

How likely this will happen: 6/10. Kano does seem to be the more popular MU for Wolf, but this isn't too far behind in popularity or requests.

Number 227: Saitama vs Popeye (One Punch Man vs Popeye the Sailor Man)

Connections: Both are, at face value, seemingly average joes who are well known defeating all of their enemies in one punch.

Why I want this: Saitama is a character that, in my opinion, shouldn't be on the show (or at least not yet). His limits are currently unknown and as a result, it would be an absolute pain in the ass to try and pinpoint for research (the fact that the episode would probably get disliked bombed because of Saitama wank could also be a major pain to deal with doesn't help). However, that doesn't mean I don't want an MU for the character. The guy has plenty of MUs (most of them being pretty bad), but there are a few exceptions to that, with this one being my favorite.

This has always been my Number 1 Saitama MU and for good reason. This is just great. The fight could just be absolutely amazing and could have a great sense of escalation. At first, Saitama just punches the sailor man and assumes he got knocked down in one hit, however he. starts getting excited once Popeye starts actually putting up a fight. Near the end, he could be having the time of his life, as he is glad he finally found the challenge he sought out for. The two could destroy a moon or hell, even a planet for the climax. At the end, Saitama would be in atmospheric re-entry to Earth, getting a glance at Popeye who's watching him fall and thanking him for giving him the fight of his life. This has the potential to be an absolutely amazing fight.

The interactions could be great, as mentioned earlier with Saitama, while Popeye could just be confused why he's so damn excited and happy about getting his ass kicked. There could be a moment with the One Punch Man standing and giving a massive speech abut 'having the fight of his life' and how 'he has been searching for a fight like this his whole life' and Popeye 'is granting his wish for a real fight', while Popeye just looks at him like he just lost his mind. Also, the music potential practically goes without saying. One Punch Man has godly music.

Roots: Popeye

Winner: Popeye. As mentioned earlier, Saitama's lints are difficult to measure, but he sure as hell isn't gonna reach the level of Popeye anytime soon.

Why I prefer this MU: I finally get to talk about Saitama's other opponents... and hoo boy we got a lot of shit to go through. The only other remotely decent one is Captain Underpants, everyone else is just really bad. Goku is shit, Superman is shit, and Squirrel Girl cured my insomnia. As for Popeye, Spongebob is no.

How likely this will happen: 9/10. This is (from what I can tell) Saitama's most popular MU, so I see this being the matchup DB goes with when they put him on the show.

Number 226: Yami vs Stein (Black Clover vs Soul Eater)

Connections: Both are Smoking mentors to the protagonist who exhibit an unstable ruthlessness to anyone but the people absolutely closest to them. They are feared around their world for their capabilities and how far they are willing to go (Stein’s experiments and Yami’s dark magic despite being a foreigner), but have still proven their power and received acknowledgement from the top figure of their worlds (Lord Death and Julius)

Why I want this: I feel it is appropriate to open this particular entry by saying I absolutely love Soul Eater... so I'm gonna do that. I absolutely love Soul Eater, it's. currently one of my favorite anime of all time thanks to the really nice looking animations and really great characters that I want to see in Death Battle more (and this isn't the last Soul Eater MU on this list). So when CSK put this MU on his Top 200, I was immediately interested and started looking more into it, and here we are.

The animation can just be a joy watch, with a more unhinges fight and atmosphere. There are many different and interesting ways this fight could go, like seeing how Yami's dark magic would be countered by Stein's various weapons and fighting style. There could also be a level of esculation that would be interesting to see, with Stein getting more and more unhinges the fight goes on, with Yami taking advantage of that. Also, threader some. incredibly fun interactions that could happen, on top of the really fun music potential, we got ourselves a really fun MU. I apologize for the short length of this entry, I don't have much to say here.

Number 225: Morag vs Satsuki (Xenoblade Chronicles vs Kill La Kill)

Connections: Both are military commanders of ruling descent who fight primarily via a symbiotic relationship with another being that possesses a glaring weakness, and have a similar complicated relationship with their sibling. Both pairs of siblings possess similar legendary blades, and wield those of their sibling as well along the way.

Why I want this: There are quite a few characters that are notorious for having more MUs than people on Earth. Sans, DIO, Gilgamesh, the entirety of team RWBY, and the topic of this entry, Satsuki Kiryiun. She has a shitton of opponents (with the majority of them being either uninteresting or just not being good). However there are exceptions and this is the only Satsuki MU that I like.

The fight for this MU would be an incredibly fun one. There are some incredibly fun interactions you could have with the more tactical Morag and Satsuki with the strict swords Morag wields and the more feral life fiber ‘outfit’ could lend to fun moments over the course of the animation. The animation potential is also really, really good. Satsuki’s more fast paced style and Morag’s slower approach to combat could lead to fun moments of strategic ability, where the two try to expose a weak point (Morag dodging most of Satsuki’s attack and waiting for an opening for a fatal stab, while Satsuki tries to stay afar waiting for a moment to surprise attack Morag). This could be an interesting dynamic and Blake vs Mikasa has shown that a fast paced, strategic battle has potential for something great. Also, music potential is just spectacular. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has some real good tracks and Kill La Kill has Don’t Lose Your Way, so it’s pretty blatant that there would be an amazing track.

Also we get more Kill La KIll in Death Battle and that’s poggers.

Roots: Satsuki

Winner: Satsuki. There speed and durability are pretty much even, however Satsuki's power advantage and her broken regeneration seals the deal.

Animation style: 3D

Soundtrack name: Flames of Purity

Why I prefer this MU: Satsuki’s opponent list, as mentioned earlier, is bad. Lik, REALLY bad. Outside of the just okay Kevin Levin and Esdeath, Sonic is a massive no, Iceman is somehow even worse, Sans drives me to drink, and Vergil is not good.

How likely this will happen: 3/10. Now that’s a niche MU if I ever seen one.

Number 224: Lord Drakkon vs Ohma Zi-O (Power Rangers vs Kamen Rider)

Connections: Both are the evil, multiverse threatening counterparts to one of the main protagonists (Tommy Oliver and Sogan Tokiwa) who rule the world with an iron fist.

Why I want this: Lord Drakkon is a character that at first, I was pretty mixed on coming to Death Battle. One one hand, sure it is a more unique character. But on the other hand, I was under the thought process that it’s technically Tommy Oliver, who has already appeared on the show twice, so why have him come back a third time without his super cool robot? But I have been warming up to the concept of him fighting without the robot and with some insane reality warping powers to boot. So this fight was one that has been mad warming up to me.

There are a lot of fun things that you could do in this fight. The animation and interaction potential is absolutely amazing, the former having some amazing potential thanks to the reality warping powers and hand to hand combat the two have and the latter thanks to how cheesy both Power Rangers and Kamen Rider could get at times. You could have some incredible and over the top banter between the two tyrannical fighters, while also portraying them as legitimate threats to the multiverse instead of ‘haha funni dahk lords’. The music potential is also far from lacking, as the TehGM score proves, this fight could lend itself to an incredibly fun rock track that would right at home for both series.

Roots: Drakkon

Winner: Ohma Zi-O. I don’t really Kamen Rider, but from what I heard, Drakkon is probably faster because omnipresence go brrrrrrr, but Zi-O does take other stats and has better overall hax.

Soundtrack name: Rulers of the Multiverse

Why I prefer this MU: Enerjak is generally uninteresting to me and has better with Savanti Romero, Reverse Flash makes no sense, and Batman Who Laughs… I’m sorry, but this MU is just bad. It’s so damn boring and honestly, if you ask me, BWL just shouldn’t be on the show.

How likely this will happen: 4/10. It has a following, but Kamen Rider pretty much being a Japan exclusive series for the most part and Enerjak and BWL being more popular picks for Drakkon hinder this one’s chances hard.

Number 223: Almaz vs Sayaka (Disgaea vs Puella Magi Madoka Magica)

Number 223: Almaz vs Sayaka (Disgaea vs Puella Magi Madoka Magica)

Connections: Both are sword wielders with ambitious dreams of heroism that end up bringing them and their loved ones more suffering than happiness.

Why I want this: A few months back, I decided to get off my ass and finally watch the leading cause of depression, Puella Magi Madoka Magica. What did I think of it? I personally really liked it. The characters were fun, the writing was good, the animation was absolutely amazing ,and it gave me depression, with it being the first piece of media to do so since Nostalgia Critic’s The Wall. So naturally, I’ve been trying to get into MUs for the series (outside of the obvious two that we may or may not talk about later.) When Pit pitched this particular MU, I started to like it a lot and it became an MU that I started really wanting.

The magical prowess of the two combatants could lend to incredibly fun animation potential. Both Disgaea and Madoka Magica have shown to be batshit insane when it comes to their fight scenes, so combining the insanity of the two series could lead to some incredible moments in the fight. The music has the potential to be fucking amazing as well, with both series having some great music that could combine to make something greater.

Roots: Sayaka

Winner: Almaz. She outstats really hard.

Animation style: 2D

Soundtrack name: Magica of Despair

Why I prefer this MU: Sayaka vs Sailor Mercury is just diet Usagi vs Madoka and either vs Juvia is pretty bad.

How likely this will happen: 1/10. The only thing keeping this from a zero is the recent Madoka Magica film launching the series into relevance. Outside of that, this MU pretty much has nothing going for it in the likeliness camp.

Number 222: Quote vs Volnutt (Cave Story vs Mega Man)

Connections: Both are amnesiac robots with a large amount of firearms who explore subterranean areas to find ancient loot and possibly kill some weird ancienter shit.

Why I want this: the Mega Man Battle Royale, while an amazing episode and a highlight of the already fantastic Season that was Season 6, does have quite a few combatants that in my opinion would be cool to see return, amazing episode withstanding. While Classic Mega Man I feel has had a good run on the show and shouldn’t return, the likes of X, Geo, EXE, and of course, Volnutt are characters that would be neat to see return. In fact, you will be seeing an MU for Geo later on down the list (not X and EXE though, couldn’t find anything good for them). But now, let’s go on to talking about  Quote vs Volnutt. I found this MU on CSC when fellow user Clinical Aggression was pitching it and I started liking it due to all of the potential.

This MU could be an absolutely amazing gun fight. Both characters have immense arsenals of weaponry and seeing those arsenals in action against each other would just be incredibly fun to watch in a fast paced fight to the death. The music potential is also absolutely amazing. Cave Story has an in my opinion criminally underrated soundtrack and MegaMania proved that the Mega Man series has a lot of potential for a fun rock track to accompany a great fight.

Roots: Volnutt

Winner: Volnutt. stets.

Animation style: 2D

Soundtrack name: Hollow Trigger

Why I prefer this MU: Volnutt vs Toon Link is just mid to be honest and SML Mario vs Volnutt isn’t real, it can’t hurt you. As for Quote, Gunvolt is okay.

How likely this will happen: 1/10. Volnutt vs Toon Link is probably his most popular MU (don’t quote me on that since I’m still unsure of that) and this is already a pretty niche MU to begin with.

Number 221: Spongebob vs Gumball (Spongebob Squarepants vs The Amazing World of Gumball)

Connections: Both are wacky and imaginative cartoon characters who go on equally wacky and imaginative adventures, who are also the mascots of their respective network (Nickelodeon for Spongebob and Cartoon Network for Gumball)

Why I want this: Simply put, this matchup is just plenty of fun. I have always had a soft spot for these kind of matchups, where the focus is less on raw stats and more on the broken beyond logic toon force abilities the combatants have. So when I first heard of this fight, it immediately became something that I really wanted to see happen.

There is some pretty fun animation potential to be had here. Spongebob has a decently varied arsenal and Gumball is just broken beyond belief, so seeing a fight and analysis between these two would just be incredibly fun. The interactions could be fun as well with Gumball’s more sarcastic personality clashing with Spongebob’s eternally optimistic character. The music potential could also be fun and Spongebob and Gumball in Death Battle is something I think would be cool to see, the former because of just how iconic the character is and the latter because TAWOG was my childhood. While yes, this fight does have a few flaws and I do understand why some don’t like it, I really like this MU

Roots: Both, leaning Gumball because I watched his show more

Winner: Spongebob. Gumball’s overall more broken toon force and hax could give the sponge some trouble, but Spongebob’s overwhelming speed and power advantages let him hit the blitz and one-shot.

Why I prefer this MU: both Spongebob and Gumball have a lot, and I mean a LOT, of alternatives. So let’s go down the rabbit hole and see what the hell other MUs these two have. First, Spongebob. Mickey and Bugs are better off fighting each other, Deadpool genuinely confuses me, Lincoln Loud just shouldn’t be on Death Battle, Timmy turner is a hard meh, Sanji and Pac-Man baffle me, Popeye is no, and Pinkie Pie and Chowder… are actually okay, but neither would really compliment Spongebob’s fighting style more than Gumball imo. Speaking of, his MU spread isn’t that much better (if anything, it’s worse than Spongey’s). Deku is a big why, Sonic makes me question existence, Bubsy is okay ig, and Courage is fine too.

How likely this will happen: 9/10. Ever since it was first introduced, it has gained a massive following and is incredibly popular, with the fact that it’s goddamn Spongebob being the cherry on top. I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens during the latter half of Season 8.

Number 220: Kirby vs Yoshi (Kirby vs Super Mario)

Connections: Both are Nintendo platformer protagonists that have a huge appetite.

Why I want this: Yep. I actually want this MU. Now, before you try to crucify me, please hear me out on this one okay? Good. Now, one of the characters I have always wanted to see return is Yoshi. His episode with Riptor was not only incredibly forgettable, but the MU itself is honestly the second worst matchup that has ever become a Death Battle episode (I say second because we did get Justin Bieber vs Rebecca Black). It honestly feels like a Fanon Wiki fight. So when I found out about this MU’s existence while looking for good Yoshi MUs, I was intrigued and it eventually became an MU I started genuinely wanting to happen.

For starters, the animation potential is incredible. Yoshi’s various egg abilities and Kirby’s vast amount of copy abilities lend themselves to incredibly potential, especially considering that these two have shown cosmic levels of power, so it would be incredible to see this fight progress from destroying sections of a forest, to going all out and if you wanted to, you could have the two destroy Yoshi’s island and in the climax have Yoshi in his dragon form from Smash and Kirby using one of his super abilities from Kirby’s Return to Dream Land, ending with a clash of attacks that destroys the planet, leaving the winner in the middle of the debris victorious. The music potential is also just spectacular. Yoshi’s Island, as well as the Mario series in general, have some stellar and iconic tracks you could take from and Kirby just has spectacular music all around. Overall, I feel this MU has plenty of potential for an absolutely great episode and I hope this entry helped in spreading that MU a bit. So am I still getting crucified or… oh, I still am? Alrighty then.

Roots: Both, leaning Yoshi.

Winner: Yoshi. He should scale to the Mario cast, which would be enough to outstats Kirbo by a decent margin.

Why I prefer this MU: I’ll be completely honest here, I’m not a fan of Mario vs Kirby. Something about Mario returning (especially against someone that isn't Sonic no less) just feels wrong to me. As for Kirby’s other MUs, Android 21 is just Majin Buu but again and Pikachu is a big why. Yoshi vs Reptile is also shit.

How likely this will happen: 0/10. I’m probably unironically the only person requesting this MU, so… yeah.

Number 219: Homelander vs Tighten (The Boys vs Megamind)

Connections: Both are normal people who were granted powers by a villain and as a result, they use their powers to try and get the attention they desperately wanted (Homelander just wanting everyone to like him while Tighten tried to get Roxanne to love him with his new powers). They end up becoming incredibly powerful supervillains and were only defeated by getting manipulated and outsmarted by the main protagonist.

Why I want this: This MU is, simply put, just a lot of fun. I really like The Boys, so seeing one of the most prominent characters come on the show would be cool and the megachad Megamind getting on the show would just be poggers. The big reason I want this particular MU is how the fight would go.

There is plenty of potential in both the animation and interactions. Let’s go over animation first. There is a really unique way you could go around doing this, like having Homelander try to keep his good image while fighting, minimizing the damage as possible. However, he could eventually lose his temper with Tighten due to him actually posing a threat to his ego and spot as the greatest hero. Tighten could also be like this, with him starting off similar to Homelander except he starts off causing all the environmental destruction and landing some good hits on Homelander and, also like him, he could lose his temper once Homelander actually starts getting an upper hand. So the fight could go from two smug heroes fighting, with one trying to keep his good reputation while the other just isn’t trying… to both combatants just shouting and screaming at each other and destroying the entire city and killing civilians in the process. This would just be an incredibly fun fight to see.

Roots: Tighten

Winner: Tighten. stets.

Animation style: 3D

Why I prefer this MU: Despite only being in the spotlight since 2019-2020, Homelander has amassed a lot of MUs, with a lot of them not being… you know, good. Brightburn just isn’t VS viable in my eyes due to being pretty much featless, Omni-Man has better, Plutonian is bad, Vulcan is not much better, Sentry is why, All Might makes me cry myself to sleep, Hancock gets a meh from me, and I’m still trying to figure out what a Captain Celebrity is.

How likely this will happen: 5/10. Sure it does have a sizable following, but Omni Man.

Number 218: Master Hand vs Polygon Man (Super Smash Bros vs Playstation All Stars Battle Royale)

Connections: Both are the final bosses of iconic crossover party fighting games.

Why I want this: This fight is one that, likes Boom Sonic vs GA Pac-Man, I have wanted for a long time. However, it wasn't one that I was incredibly enthusiastic about. That is until I decided to rewatch One Minute Melee last year and watched the Master Hand vs Polygon Man episode. What did I think of it? Well I manage to find the cure to insomnia that day, so take that for what you will. Yeah the episode was honestly pretty boring. the episode was pretty much just Master Hand beating the shit out of Polygon Man, with said man of polygons only landing one combo. However, that episode got me thinking about how cool this episode would be if it were a Death Battle episode and it's been an MU that has consistently appeared on my most wanted lists ever since.

This fight just has a lot of potential. While yes both character (especially Polygon Man) admittedly don't have much, I still think the characters have enough feats and whatnot to the point where that really isn't a problem. The animation potential is just absolutely godlike. Both have insanely versatile arsenals, so seeing them clash would just be amazing. You could have stuff like Polygon Man shape shifting into many different villains of Playstation history with an army of polygon people based off characters from the PS All Stars roster overwhelming Master Hand. However, when it looks like Poly Man landed the final blow, Master Core ends up fighting Polygon Man in a climactic finale. Thew music potential is also mazing, with the Smash soundtrack having some great tracks throughout its history and Playstation All Stars did indeed have music, so seeing a track with this MU would be great. Also, there is fun interaction potential despite the fact that Master Hand doesn't talk. Polygon Man's narcissism could be matched with hand gestures from Master Hand, which could make Polygon Man mad and want to kill him more.

Roots: Master Hand

Winner: Master Hand. Both are even in overall strength and durability, but Master Hand's better fighting skill and higher speed give him the edge he needs.

Animation Style: 2D with HD elements

Soundtrack name: All Star Smashing

Why I prefer this MU: Master Hand vs Yami cured is meh.

How likely this will happen: 7/10. This fight has a big following and still gets requested, I think this has a good shot at happening during the latter half of Season 8.

Number 217: Kula Diamond vs Kolin (King of Fighters vs Street Fighter)

Connections: Both are fighting cryomancers who's former teams went under, which lead them to becoming loyal to a powerful pyromancer.

Why I want this: Honestly, I just think this fight is incredibly fun. Kolin is one of my top Street Fighter waifus and from the little King of Fighters games I've played, Kula seems cool (no pun intended). Seeing these two characters on the show would be pretty neat and that's a major reason why, when Pit brought this Mu to my attention, I was interested and it became an MU I started really wanted.

This fight just has a lot of potential to be like Heihachi vs Geese, where it shows the differing fighting styles of the combatants and showing how the fighting sdtyles mesh better than most would think. Heihachi vs Geese was an example of this, where it meshed the more grab and counter based Geese clashing with the more heavy hitting Heihachi really well, showing how when Geese tried being more offensive that worked in Heihachi's favor and Geese's disadvantage. Doing something like that with this matchup instead would be really fun and interesting to watch. Also, music potential is pretty good with Kings of Iron showing that fighting game matchups could really fun and fast paced tracks.

Why I prefer this MU: While Kolin pretty much has fuck all opponents wise, Kula does have quite a few opponents that aren't exactly the best of quality. Chie has better, Mizore and Emilia are characters I don't know so I have no opinion, Cirno is average at best and worst, and Sub-Zero makes me wanna die.

How likely this will happen: 5/10. It's from what I can tell the runner up for Kula's most popular MU (with the first being Sub-Zero... for some reason), but that doesn't help when the competition mostly consists of more mainstream characters than Kolin.

Number 216: Emma Millstein vs Lulua Frixell (Trails of Cold Steel vs Atelier)

Connections: Both are adopted trainee mages who inherit a responsibility to protect those around them.

Why I want this: As you probably could tell by a few of the entries, I am a big fan of promoting more obscure MUs. As long as I know the characters or have experience with the series, chances are I'm going to like a more obscure matchup. This is one of the first real 'obscure' matchups I started really wanting. While I have yet to play TOCS, I have played my fair share of Atelier games (with none of them featuring Lulua but that's beside the point) and seeing a more niche series that I had a bit of enjoyment in getting into DB was neat. However, what really sold me on this matchup was Moe's fanmade fight for the matchup on the Death Battle Fanon Wiki.

That fanmade episode really showed how this fight has plenty of potential. The fight could be just one of the most incredible. Both have really flashy and powerful spells and abilities, so seeing them clash would just be amazing. Also, music potential is aplenty with the great soundtracks both series have.

Connections: Both are lone wolf fist fighters who are covered in scars and have polar opposite personalities.

Why I want this: Yeah I will admit, the connections here are far from the deepest in the world. But I do think that there is enough good for the not very deep connections to not interfere with the matchups quality. This still has plenty of potential for a fun as all hell fist fight. I think that this fight could be similar to Ryu vs Jin, where the fight is an enjoyable one that focuses on the martial arts prowess of the two combatants, starting off normal for the most part until it just becomes a destructive brawl with setting change and Akihiko using his Persona while Bullet lets all her most powerful attacks loose in a climactic climax that could (unlike Ryu vs Jin) end in one glorious spectacle of a death. Also, some really fun interactions between the two with their completely polar opposite personalities, some really kickass music potential with Blazblue's all around good soundtrack and Persona's amazing tracks, which could lend to a fun vocal track like that of Night of the Devil (except it hopefully actually fits the matchup).

I know I referenced Ryu vs Jin a lot, but this matchup honestly does give me a lot of vibes that are comparable between both matchups. A fun fight which would primarily rely on martial arts and fist to fist fighting that has the potential for a great track and, if RyuJin is anything to go buy, I see this also being a great episode.

Winner: Akihiko. Bullet does more than likely take the speed advantage, but Akihiko is much stronger and tougher, with his healing and stat increasing abilities making his victory more than assured.

How likely this will happen: 3/10. While the competition is pretty much non-existent and this does have a following, neither Bullet or Akihiko are really that well known characters, which hurts the MU's chances in the long run pretty hard.

Number 214: Porky vs Fawful (Earthbound vs Super Mario)

Connections: Both are short statured and... less than mentally stable Nintendo villains who primarily use machines to fight and worked for a bigger evil (Giygas and Cackletta) before said bigger evil died at the hands of the titular protagonist of the respective game (Ness and Mario) who would in the third installment of their series would meet a terrible fate (Porky being trapped in a capsule that he is stuck in forever and Fawful outright getting killed at the end of Bowser's Inside Story).

Why I want this: Honestly, this fight just does a lot of things right. It brings in a new franchise that would be col to see on the show as well as a portion of the Mario series that I really want to see get more attention and it's a fight that I just think would be good damn fun. Porky's mech fighting against Fawful's flurry of machines would just be incredibly fun to see, with an interesting fight dynamic to boot, with Porky and Fawful not really being fist to fist fighters, primarily relying on intel and outsmarting the other to get good hits in.

You could also have interesting ways of showing what their characters are, with Porky starting off arrogant, but as the fight continues he starts losing sanity and by the end, is just a man who's only goal is to just kill Fawful any means necessary. Fawful himself on the other hand could start insane, but with it being more subtle until he just starts trying to kill Porky by any means. In the climax, you could have Porky have his last hurrah before Fawful just kills him in an incredibly brutal way. The animation potential is just absolutely aplenty with this fight. The music and interactions are definitely not lacking either. The track could be an absolutely amazing one, with both series having some great boss music. You could have the track be more lighthearted at first and just turn into this distorted track, showing the progression in stability between the two fighters. You could have a combination of the Giygas theme and In The Final near the end if you really wanted to go beyond. Also, the interactions are just absolute gold.

Why I want this: Honestly, a big reason I want this fight is for a series I like getting recognition. I have played Destroy All Humans 1, 2, and Big Willy Unleashed and I really enjoyed 1 and 2, both games really gave the feeling of being a small alien terrorizing the world with many different abilities and Big Willy Unleashed did indeed happen. So seeing Crypto in a Death Battle would just be really fun.

However, a series I enjoy getting recognition isn't the only reason why I like this fight. The animation and interaction potential are absolute gold. The animation could just be incredibly fun with Zim's gadgets and Crypto's haxxes and weapon clashing so well in a fight and interactions would just be great. Zim's over the top personality and Crypto's more stoic and down to earth personality. could lead to some absolutely fun banter and really great lines. I don't really have much to say other than the fact that this fight is just a lot of fun so... yeah.

Connections: Both are remorseful gunslinging assassins with numbered code names who worked for shady organizations and have terrorist arch enemies that caused them a lot of trouble.

Why I want this: This is a case where I didn't care for the MU until I started knowing more about one of th characters. In case, the character in mind was Train. His series interested men and so when I watched a few clip compilations on YouTube, I was immediately interested in this matchup and when good friend of mine PitTheSwordmaster put this matchup on his Top 200 list and it became a matchup I started really wanting.

'Why?' you may ask. Well, it is because it's a whole lot of fun! This fight could be an incredibly fight, blending both close quarters and gunfighting. You could have the fight begin with Train primarily zipping through the battlefield, trying to end Yuuji quickly so that he could end the fight quickly. However, Yuuji starts proving to be an actual challenge for him and the two get into a close quarters combat sequence with Yuuji getting an upper hand before Train starts using strategy and his better training to his advantage before the two land good hits before landing the killing blow. The fight could be like a more fast paced and less stealth oriented Skane vs Sam, which would just be really cool.

Winner: Train Heartnet. Both are even in overall strength and durability, but Train's much faster speed and more experience give him the victory... I'm starting to see a small pattern with some of these matchups...

Number 211: Dizzy vs Morrigan (Guilty Gear vs Darkstalkers)

Connections: Both are fighting game females with an uncontrollable power inside of them.

Why I want this: Both Darkstalkers and Guilty Gear are series that I definitely want to see more of in Death Battle. Darkstalkers had a really good episode recently with Jon Talbain vs Sabrewulf and to get more episodes like that would just be poggers as all hell and Guilty Gear is pretty overdue for a new episode in my eyes. While yes the series can be confusing at times, but from what I can tell they handled GG well in Ragna vs Sol, so I don't see the problem and not to mention all the characters that could make for fun episodes. So this matchup is one that I have always liked.

The animation potential here is really good, which both of their abilities meshing really well, with the potential combination with Darkstalkers insanity with Guilty Gear's bullshit that can be on par with Blazblue in pure batshit insanity. You could;d have some very interesting close ranged combat, as well as Morrigan trying to use her ranged attacks, which gives her an advantage before Dizzy's guardians come out and start fighting against Morrigan. That could be a pretty cool moment in an already enjoyable fight scene. Their is also plenty of music potential with thee Darkstalkers series already showing how well DB tracks with the series. can be with Blood Moon.

Number 210: Nui vs Doflamingo (Kill la Kill vs One Piece)

Connections: Both are psychotic string wielding villains who are subordinates to a bigger antagonist.

Why I want this: As probably mentioned earlier, Kill la Kill is a series I heavily enjoyed and I really want to see more of its characters on the show because of it. So when this matchup was brought to my attention, I wanted to know the connections because it sounded really fun. Once I knew, it became a matchup I started really wanting.

This fight has the potential to be insane. Kill la Kill is a series that has a lot of really fun and bloody fight scenes that translate really well into a Death Battle, as proven already with Shadow vs Ryuko, an episode with a fight scene I heavily enjoyed and One Piece has a lot of enjoyable fights as well, so seeing those two styles clash in a fight to the death would be enjoyable as all hell. You could really show how insane both characters are and have a non-stop high action battle between two string users. Hell, you could have some fourth wall breaks like what Nui does in the anime at times for some comedy during the fight, there is a lot of stuff that you could do with this matchup.

The banter potential is also really great with the mental instability of the two fighters. Nui is just insane through and through with Doffy's sadistic nature that could play off each other really well as the two try to kill each other in the most brutal way possible.

Number 209: Tails vs Diddy Kong (Sonic The Hedgehog vs Donkey Kong)

Connections: Both are the sidekicks to an iconic platformer protagonist from the 90s that primarily use weaponry to fight.

Why I want this: Tails is a character I wouldn't mind to see return. His episode against Luigi, wrong results aside, was average at best and seeing him return would just be cool. However, the main issue was actually looking for a good opponent. So when I saw this MU and figured out the connections, I was rally interested and started to want the MU.

It is a more unique fight overall. There is a lot you could do with animation potential. Both have shown to be good in both close quarters and long range, so it would be really cool to se the different styles of combat clash here. You could have it begin with the two just hitting each other normally, with Diddy's quickness and acrobatics giving him an edge over Tails' lesser fighting skill. However, Tails could then start using more of his gadgets such as his Magic Hand and Shield Bot, giving him the attack and defense boost to gain an advantage over Diddy for a time until it becomes an aerial battle with Diddy with his Rocketbarrel pack and his duel Peanut pistols while Tails is flying with his... well, Tails throwing his vast assortment of explosives right at Diddy, causing a lot of environmental destruction. There is a lot you could do with the arsenals both characters have and it would just be incredibly fun.

Next is music. Both series have some really fun and great soundtracks that would just be really cool to see mesh well. Both characters have some really good music tracks associated with them, so seeing said tracks styles be combined into a great fight track would just be really unique because of how different all these songs are from each other. Sonic's rock based soundtrack name DKC's... not Rock themed tracks combining would be so unique and I love it because of that.

How likely this will happen: 6/10. It has fans, but Luigi vs Tails 2 seems to be the more popular MU, though it's waining popularity might help in Tails vs Diddy's favor.

Number 208: Mordred vs Erza Knightwalker (Fate vs Fairy Tail)

Connections: Both are aggressive alternate universe versions (Apocrypha occurs in a different timeline to Fate/Stay Night, and Knightwalker is from Edolas, which is an alternate world to Fairy Tail's Earth) of an idealistic knight (Artoria Pendragon and Erza Scarlet) who they are related to (Mordred being Artoria's son/daughter and Knightwalker literally being Erza) and don't like their counterpart due to clashing ideals (Knightwalker hunted Fairy Tail members which Scarlet defended them with her life and Mordred never lived up to Artoria's expectations of a true king, and she wants to prove herself capable of her father's pride and adoration)

Why I want this: In case you didn't know, I really love Fairy Tail. It's one of the first anime I really got into and it's one of my favorites. So more of its characters on Death Battle would be mad based, socially considering. the fact that the. series currently doesn't have thew best track record out there, and I especially like it when a more. unknown character gets the spotlight, such as Erza Knightwalker. When I first heard of this matchup, I was interested and it started really warming up to me unti I decided to put it on the list.

This matchups does have plenty of animation potential. You could really show their swordsmanship to it's fullest potential here. You could start it out as an average sword fight with Mordred disarming Knightwalker and the two start fighting hand to hand, with some destruction here and there. Zoro vs Erza has shown that Fairy Tail fights can be destructive, with this being no exception. You could have them just destroying everything unintentionally as a result of their fight and that would honestly just be pretty fun.

Music potential is also pretty great with Fairy Tail and Fate having. some really stellar tracks at times.

Why I want this: I happen to be a really big fan of the Digimon series. I have watched through the entirety of most of the anime series and liking them a lot despite, in the earlier series, less than stellar animation and I enjoyed the games in the series I have played. So I have always wanted to see the series in Death Battle, and I got my wish when Pokemon vs Digimon was released and I really liked it, and I still think it's a really good episode and a great way to end the absolute banger season that was Season 2 (there was also Lucario vs Renamon but that episode was boring). However, me being fanboy I am, really wants to see more of the series on the show, with this fight being of my most wanted Digimon fights.

There is a lot of potential to be had here, with BWG's more limits but still insane arsenal clashing with Bass' stupidly vast arsenal so damn well. You could have ll of their strongest attacks clash or have Bass.EXE just launch a bunch of projectiles to not avail was get something parallel to the end of Pokemon vs Digimon, except the one getting stabbed doesn't die and instead pulls through, destroying BWG in a glorious spectacle. The music potential I have nothing else to add on that I haven't said in the previous segment, just replace all the Sonic stuff with Digimon and you have what I would say here.

How likely this will happen: 3/10. Mewtwo vs BWG has been having a bit of a resurgence in popularity as of late, so I wouldn't be surprised if that happened instead of this.

Number 206: McCree vs Erron Black (Mortal Kombat vs Overwatch)

Connections: Both are cowboys that fight a diverse set of characters regularly and com from 2010s games.

Why I want this: While yes the connections are really shallow, but I think this fight has enough to the point where this isn't really a problem. This MU is just a lot of fun.

There is plenty of animation potential to be had here. You could have moment showing off their sharpshooting skills and McCree's special abilities and Erron's stuff that isn't his gun. The music also has a lot of potential to be an incredibly enjoyable western themed track and a fun tribute to western fights in general. Yeah I honestly have nothing else too say about this outside of your typical good animation and music potential stuff, so let's just move on.

Winner: Erron Black. I heard that Erron is MUCH more experienced than McCree and he also outstats from what I heard.

How likely this will happen: 7/10. The fact that from what I head Ben doesn't vibe with this MU hurts his chances, but it's so heavily requested. that I wouldn't be surprised if it happened either way.

Number 205: Flandre Scarlet vs Shinobu Oshino (Touhou vs Bakemonogatari)

Connections: Both are confident and blonde loli vampires who pretty have the same abilities

Why I want this: Despite my lack of knowledge on it, I really want to see Touhou make their Death Battle debut. The series is practically known for their insane bullet hell fights with their giant beams that are nearly impossible to dodge and as a result you die a lot and quit the game out of anger... no I'm not bitter, shut up. So seeing it in Death Battle would just be poggers (and just gonna say this now, this is far from the only Touhou MU on this list, there's plenty more to come). So when Loka pitched this MU in a Discord server I'm in, I was all in. Not only because it's a good Flandre MU (which I didn't;t even think was possible to exist), but it is also just a lot of goddamn fun.

The animation potential is aplenty. As I mentioned earlier, Touhou and it's stupidity lends itself really well to a VS show like Death Battle and while I never even heard of Bakenm0orheiskughdisgkhdgr before this MU was brought to my attention, it seems like a series that could be cool to see in a Death Battle as well. Both of their destructive abilities would just be insane to see clash in a fight to the death. The music potential is also amazing because Touhou go brrrrrrrrrr and the interactions could be incredibly fun with there overconfident personalities lending to fun banter against each other.

Number 204: Kirito vs Kite (Sword Art Online vs .Hack)

Connections: Both are normal people who got transported into a fantasy video game and in the end, essentially become the most powerful players in this respective world.

Why I want this: As much I dislike him, Kirito is a character that practically deserves a time in the Death Battle spotlight. His anime was incredibly popular for a time and I think the character has enough feats and potential to be fun in an episode, with this MU in particular being my favorite among his vast MU spread. There is potential for a stupidly fun and energetic sword fight with their duel swords lending to fun moments. You could have the two break the game itself because of how immensely powerful the two are and show how they got their titles of the most powerful ones in the games they got into.

You could also have a fun music tracks that could really be like something you would hear in a fantasy video game and if any Final Fantasy track is to go by, that usually goes well. This is another one where I don't have much to say, I just want it a lot.

Why I prefer this MU: Like I eluded to earlier, Kirito has a massive MU spread with some good, but a lot of bad. Neo is honestly one of the worst with the bad animation potential and how stupidly complicated figuring out if we use the Matrix or not, Ninja is just cursed as hell, Joker is no, and Haseo is okay ig.

How likely this will happen: 7/10. Neo does provide for competition and .Hack's obscurity doesn't help much either, but it still has a decent following, so I wouldn't count it out yet.

Number 203: Wendy vs Yuno (Fairy Tail vs Black Clover)

Connections: Both are wind users that are part of a team of powerful magic users (Team Natsu and Black Bulls respectively).

Why I want this: More Fairy Tail in Death Battle, which is based and poggers. Okay, all jokes aside, this Matchup is one that hs warmed up to me big time. Honestly I just shrugged it off as a boring MU, until I saw a bunch of manga panels of Black Clover and that gave me a glance at what Yunop is capable of, and that made me start to want this MU because there is a lot of potential.

Both Wendy and Yuno have styles that really mesh well with each other thanks to their wind based attacks, so seeing them clash in a fight would be glorious. it could mad even better with Wendy's Dragon Force and enchantments, as well Yuno's various forms like Spirit of Boreas and Spirit of Zephyr lending to make an already insane fight even more so. You could have a ton of destruction potential during the fight, with their constant barrages of wind attacks. causing Moore and more damage. Music potential is also high with the Fairy Tail soundtrack having lots of potential.

Number 202: Dexter vs Jimmy Neutron (Dexter's Laboratory vs The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius)

Connections: Both are two of the most iconic boy geniuses in cartoons. Also, rivalry.

Why I want this: Nickelodeon vs Cartoon Network is a rivalry that I am surprised hasn't received a Death Battle episode. It's pretty much one of the two big cartoon company rivalries (second to Disney vs Warner Bros) and all two of the actually good MUs from this rivalry are really cool and ones I really want to see happen. We already talked about one of these MUs with Spongebob vs Gumball and now we have the second of these two MUs.

This fight has a shitton of potential. Both have massive arsenals of gadgets and inventions and whatnot, so seeing said arsenals clash in a fight would just be so much fun. The mech suits Dexter has could lend to some incredibly fun moments against Jimmy and all the various gadgets both have could also be part of a fun and unique fight that would be unlike other fights before it. You could have Dexter in a giant mech with Jimmy flying around with his jetpack (or Goddard either works) trying to outsmart the other, it could be really cool.

The banter potential is also just great. Both are known for having big egos, so seeing said egos interact would just be a lot of fun. I think the interactions could be similar to Lex vs Doom, where they try one upping each other, bragging about how their gadgets are more advanced than the other, all the while insulting the. other's intelligence, calling it inferior to their own. It could some incredibly fun stuff that. would make the already fun fight even better.

Winner: Jimmy Neutron. Dexter does have better stats, but Jimmy's hax does give him the win more times than not.

The Nick vs CN rivalry is one that has yet to get any DB representation and with this season's theme of MUs with history, I think this has a solid chance of happening, with the only thing holding this back from a 9 or a 10 being that Spongebob vs Gumball has overtaken it as the most popular Nick vs CN MU and I see that one happening over this one.

Number 201: Geno vs ViVi (Super Mario vs Final Fantasy)

Connections: Both are mysterious, cartoony mages from JRPGs.

Why I want this: Are the connections the best? No, not at all. However, this MU does so much right that the decently lacking connections don't matter much. I really adore the Mario RPG series and seeing a character from one of my Top 3 favorite Mario RPGs would just be amazing and we are pretty overdue for a non-FF7 Final Fantasy rep in my opinion. The animation potential is absolutely stellar. Both Geno and ViVi have some really powerful magical abilities and seeing them clash would be fun. I think that at first, they would use less powerful abilities, before the fight eventually escalates into a much bigger magical brawl between the two, with an ending that could use their most powerful abilities, with a destructive blast that could destroy the whole environment, as well as the loser. The music potential is just. also spectacular, with Mario and Final Fantasy having some amazing tracks that would be great to see clash in a fight track that could combine rock with a more orchestral sound to it to make it seem like a track that would fit both characters.

Overall, this MU is just mad underrated and I hope it gets a bigger following.

Why I want this: Welcome back to another case of me really liking an obscure MU where I don't much about the characters but I still like the MU due to it just being a lot of fun... get used to a lot of MUs like this because that is going to be a prominent theme with future. Now this matchup specifically is pretty cool. I found it out via Pit's Death Battle Summaries, where he talked about this MU in particular. At first I wasn't interested, but over time is started warming up to me and becoming a matchup I really started wanting, and that is due to how great it is.

The animation potential is just really high with this one. Both of their shapeshifting abilities combined would be incredibly fun to see in a fight, you could have the two shapeshifting into different forms and sizes trying to one up each other, in an incredibly fun fight that could show the creepy nature of this two characters, with m music that could fit the atmosphere. Oh yeah, speaking of which, the music potential is also pretty good too, it could be this creepy track that could really emphasize the tone and atmosphere of the fight.

Connections: Both are duos consisting of a blue hair and pink hair maids with magic abilities who fight alongside a clueless protagonist with no knowledge of the world around them.

Why I want this: oh, Fire Emblem... oh how overdue you are for an appearance. Ever since Fire Emblem Awakening pretty much launched the series in the mainstream outside of Japan, the series has been one that many have wanted. to see in Death Battle, with the demand only steadily growing overtime and for good reason. There are a lot of different Fire Emblem MUs that I want, with this one only being the first, so let's get into talking about it.

This matchup in particular is one I really like. Not only because it's a team battle (which we are overdue for another one of), but because it's good. First, let's go over what makes these team fights stand out from 1 on 1s: Animation and Interaction potential. Let's go over animation first. Both of these duos have some really fun abilities that would be cool to see clash in a fight, with this MU also having the potential to be similar to the at the time of me writing this only tam fight that has happened, Rathet and Clank vs Jake and Daxter, with both sides using their set of abilities in a fun fight. However, what makes this different is that both characters can fight, as opposed to R/C vs J/D where it was more so one member actually fighting, while the other was there for some support. Here, both characters fight which could benefit this MU in a really good way. Next is interactions. Interaction potential is aplenty, asw the four do have some pretty different personalities, so seeing all four of these combatants interact would be fun.

Also, the music potential practically speaks for itself.

Why I prefer this MU: Rem vs Kurapika is an alright MU, but I personally prefer if Rem and Ram fought together.

How likely this will happen: 2/10. Rem specifically having a more popular pick with Kurapika and Fire Emblem Fates being one of the more forgotten FE games in general make this MU's chances fall, with it's only saving grace keeping it from a 1 or 0 being that Fire Emblem in general is popular at all and that Felicia, Flora, and Ram don't have individual MUs.

Number 198: Savage Opress vs Mariko Kurama (Star Wars vs Elfen Lied)

Connections: Both are the second most feared in their respective species who specialize in using an invisible power only masters of said power can even hope to match.

Why I want this: This is another case of me reading Pit's Death Battle Summaries blog and an MU heavily interesting me to the point of it warming up to me over time to the point of me full on wanting it. This fight has a lot of potential. Savage's force powers and Mariko's vectors would mesh incredibly well. You could have Savage use the Force to counter the vectors coming towards him or have him try to bypass the vectors to land a deadly blow, trying to get a deadly blow in but Mariko catches on to his strategy and starts trying to do the same to Savage, where she tries to (somehow) bypass his Force abilities to land a killing blow. Then the fight becomes the two defending themselves while trying to find an opening, that would be so fun to see. Also, music potential is pretty good.

Winner: Savage Opress. He outstats and his force powers can bypass Mariko's vectors without much difficulty.

Number 197: Odelia vs Anemona (Atelier vs Ys)

Connections: Both are automations created by alchemy who have specific purposes to fulfill, but eventually learn to grow beyond their functions.

Why I want this: While I don't know much about either series (I only played two Atelier games and I have yet to play a Ys game), I think that. both series would be cool to see due to having a lot of potential for a fun episode, with this MU pretty much being one of my most wanted Atelier MU and one off the first real 'obscure' matchups that caught my eye. There is a lot you could do with this one. Their is animation potential up the ass with the insane magic these two have, which could provide for some flashy, action packed fun. The music potential is also really good as well, with both series meshing really well in style an tone, which could led to an incredibly fun track that would fit perfectly in a JRPG like Atelier or Ys. Also, how can I say no to two mostly niche series getting a spotlight?

Number 196: Accelerator vs Add (A Certain Magical Index vs Elsword)

Connections: Both are albedo heroes who are known for being insane but at the same time have shown great intelligence in their abilities which were granted to them via experiments with said experiments made them isolated from society which was the likely source of what drove them mad. But said experiments also granted boosts in their powers. In other words, they're pretty much the same character.

Why I want this: I like Accelerator, he is really cool. Seeing him in Death Battle would be pretty poggers. However, there was one problem, his matchup spread was, for the most part... not very good. At all. While yes there are some diamonds in the rough like a certain Marvel villain, but outside of Add and said certain Marvel villain, most of it is pretty shit. So when I came across an Accelerator MU that wasn't... you know, shit... I got hooked on it immediately.

This MU pretty much has everything good. The animation potential is practically up the ass and out the mouth with this one w̶a̶i̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶s̶o̶u̶n̶d̶e̶d̶ ̶w̶r̶o̶n̶g̶. Both Accelerator's vectors and other abilities, as well as Add's various types of attacks like Void Breaker and Particle Prism would be cool to see clash. You could have Accel trying to hit Add, who is using Phasm Shift to constantly switch positions with a dummy all the while Accelerator gets more frustrated until he just tries to outright control Add with his Brain Hacking, which is countered with his recovery combo that staggers Accelerator before the two continue their fight, which escalates in scale with every blow dealt. It could also end in a final clash which could shake the galaxy itself. There is just a lot you could do here. Then there is the banter and music potential. There is a lot of it. For the music, something like One Hundred Percent would just be really cool and the banter... I mean come on, it's Accelerator and Add (who is pretty much Accelerator under a different name), how could that not be glorious to hear?

Also Elsword in DB is cool.

Winner: Add. I heard he was Multiversal, which I think is more powerful than Accelerator? Admittedly I'm not entirely sure, but that's what I heard.

Why I prefer this MU: Like I said earlier, outside of some diamonds in the rough, Accel's matchup spread is a little thing I like to call cringe... takes a deep breath Lucy doesn't need to return, Kurumi is shit, Tatsumaki does not need to return, Misogi Kumegawa is meh, I don't know who Sakamaki Izayoi even is, and Gilgamesh is ew. The only real good one here is Magneto, who I have a preferred opponent for that we will get into later.

How likely this will happen: 1/10. The double whammy of Kurumi and Magneto shoots this one's chances in the foot.

Number 195: Gowther vs Sasori (Seven Deadly Sins vs Naruto)

Connections: Both are humanoid puppets who fight alongside a feared team of fighters, who have a complicated relationship with the concept of love.

Why I want this: Seven Deadly Sins, one of the most overdue series for Death Battle in my opinion. The series has a lot of potential for really fun analysis and animations, so getting an MU for all seven of the sins was a goal of mine and I... didn't succeed. Out of all Seven of the sins of the deadly variety, I was only able to obtain an MU for six of them. Long story short, Meliodas, Escanor, Merlin, and Ban were easy to get MUs for, with King and Gowther being slightly harder but doable, while Diane was left in the fucking dust (and yes all six MUs will be on this list thank you for asking). But I have digressed for far too long, let's just get into the first out of the six Seven Deadly Sins MUs, Gowther vs Sasori.

This fight is honestly just really fun. The animation potential is just really damn good, with Gowther's mindfucking shit could be added in for some really cool moments like Gowther using abilities like Rewrite Light to her advantage. and gain an upper hand in the fight, with Sasori countering with his abilities like his control to try and... well, control Gowther. There could also be a fun contrast where both use their haxxy as hell abilities, with Sasori gaining an advantage once he comes up close with his scrolls. And the music potential is pretty great as well because... I mean come on, Seven Deadly Sins and Naruto music together who could say that would be shit? W̶e̶l̶l̶ ̶I̶ ̶m̶e̶a̶n̶,̶ ̶u̶n̶b̶a̶s̶e̶d̶ ̶p̶e̶o̶p̶l̶e̶ ̶w̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ ̶b̶u̶t̶ ̶I̶ ̶d̶i̶g̶r̶e̶s̶s̶.

Number 194: Doom Slayer vs Tadano Hitonari (DOOM vs Shin Megami Tensei)

Connections: Both are soldiers who journey to the deepest pits of hell to murder pretty much any and all demons they come across.

Why I want this: Doom Slayer is another character that I want to return. The DOOM remake and DOOM Eternal added a lot for him and I think it would be cool to see him get a modern DB episode, so this MU was one that I started really wanting.

The animation potential is just amazing. Doom Slayer's brutal fighting style and Tadano... being a Shin Megami Tensei protagonist would lend to an amazing fight. Have Doom Slayer pretty much get passed Hitonari's attacks at first through sheer force and try to brutally kill him as painfully as possible would just be cool, until Hitonari starts using his more broken abilities and Doomguy starts using his more powerful and insane guns like the BFG and UnMaker would just be glorious. Hell, you could even have a shot like the original DOOM art with him shooting down SMT demons. The music potential is also amazing, with Doom's metal music and SMT's just amazing soundtrack lending to an amazing track that blends SMT and DOOM's music styles.

Number 193: Bubsy vs Gex

Connections: Both are failed mascots from the 90s who spout pop culture references all the time and don't shut the fuck up.

Why I want this: This matchup is more fun than it has any right to be. There is a lot of potential for a genuinely fun episode. The animation potential is definitely there with the really fast Bubsy and the surprising special agent training of Gex leading to a fun animation with Bubsy constantly getting his ass beat by Gex's superior training until he starts using his speed and ballzooka (yes you're reading that right) to keep Gex on his toes. But what really carries this fight and the main reason why this fight is as high on the list as it is... is the banter potential. Holy shit the banter potential. It probably has some of the best among all the MUs on this list. Both Bubsy and Gex are pop culture referencers, snarky as fuck, and probably can't shut up to save their lives. So seeing those personalities clash, with the two just spouting insults and stupid references to other Death Battles (hell, if you really wanted to make me splooge, you could have one of the two reference the 'time huh' line) would be absolutely godlike and make the fight that much better.

Also, I should add that Bubsy and Gex in Death Battle would just be so goddamn cathartic and surreal and I love it as a result.

How likely this will happen: 5/10. This MU has a decent amount of requests and has a sizable. following, but I don't see it that much when people discuss popular MUs, so I'll put it at 50/50.

Number 192: Shalltear Bloodfallen vs Suigintou (Overlord vs Rozen Maiden)

Connections: Both are gothic humanoids created to satisfy their makers' lustful desires, who seek to gain the affection of the one they love most while competing with their bitter rival in love.

Why I want this: Pit. Blame Pit. He made me like this. Blame him. Okay, jokes aside, this fight is one I want because it sounds fun. While I haven't watched Rozen Maiden, I have watched three clips total of Overlord, which gave me interest in seeing the series in Death Battle. So when Pit was trying to promote this MU, I was interested, and that interest turned into wanting this matchup to happen as an official Death Battle episode.

The interactions and animation both have a lot of potential. The animation potential is actually really fun. Shalltear's incredibly varied amount of magical attacks and Suigintou's skillset could be fun to see clash in a fight. The interactions from what I heard, could be pretty fun as well. Shalltear's manipulative personality clashing with Suigintou's "I am above everyone because I am based and awesome" attitude would just be cool to see. You could have Shalltear's manipulative attitude work to her advantage and make Suigintou just lose her shit in the climax and burst into a fit of rage and try to kill Shalltear.. only to fail.

Overall, while I don't have. much to say on it due to lack of knowledge of both characters, I still think it could be a really fun episode.

Number 191: Darth Maul vs Byakuya (Star Wars vs Bleach)

Connections: Both are cold-hearted swordsmen who wield spiritual energy that start out as members of nefarious organization, but later on go different paths. They also have the stoic facade that the only drop around their sibling and occasionally the rival they have a shaky level of respect for.

Why I want this: I'd say that Darth Mul is decently overdue for n episode. While other major Star Wars characters do have priority over him at the moment, I still think he is an iconic enough character in the series to warrant being considered 'overdue', with this by far being his best matchup by a mile. This fight is just a bunch of good old fun that I just got hooked on it near instantly.

There is a lot of potential for some solid choreography between the two swordfighters, with Maul's force abilities and al of Byakuya's petal attacks adding something to the fight. You could have Mauls' force abilities clashing with Byakuya's petal attacks, while on gets up close, only to get blocked by the other and the two start sword fighting, you could have Maul swing his dual lightsaber like propeller to block all of Byakuya's petals, hell you could even have Maul use his unique Force abilities like Force Scream to keep Byakuya at a distance, forcing him to go Bankai and use his Kiso spells, leading to a clash of Force abilities and Kidoo spells, which could be fun to see. Not to mention, you could highlight the decent contrast of the. two fighters. Maul's aggressiveness and sheer tenacity can be meshed with Byakuya's faster style so well, like having Maul pretty much force his way through his movements and have Byakuya gain the advantage by playing that aggressive nature in his own favor. There is a good amount of things you could do here, which is the main reason why I really want this matchup.

Also, good music potential because it's Star Wars, the least two Star Wars MUs had some good quality tracks and Shonen Showdown was some real good shit, so I would imagine this MU would have good music potential as well.

Roots: Maul

Winner: Darth Maul. Both are arguably even in strength and durability, but Maul has a massive speed advantage, which would let him hit the blitz more likely than not.

Animation style: 3D

Soundtrack name: Shadowed Sakura Tree

Why I prefer this MU: Maul vs Akechi, despite being more thematic than it needs to be, isn't as fun as Byakuya and Carnage... as for Byakuya, all his MUs are your typical 'shitty anime siblings MUs', where the connections pretty much boil down to both being from a Japanese cartoon and being shitty brothers, with none of them being remotely interesting.

How likely this will happen: 7/10. Maul does have a decent lot of competition for his opponent, although from what I can tell this seems to be the more popular of the big four Maul MUs.

Number 190: Pico vs Hank J Wimbleton (Pico's School vs Madness Combat)

Connections: Both are some of the most iconic gunslinging characters from Newgrounds.

Why I want this: I have always been a supporter of more web series or internet based characters coming onto Death Battle. It could open the door to a lot more MUs and more series getting represented, which is always nice. So when I heard of this fight on the DBW Discord, at first I honestly didn't understand it. But overtime it started growing on me and here we are. This fight just has a lot of potential... I swear this is like the 50th time I have said that, but whatever.

The animation could be lots of fun. Both are known for both their gun skills and the sheer insanity the fights in. their series can be, so seeing those styles clash would be incredibly fun. You could have a fast paced gunfight between the two, with them both shooting at each other on-stop in a fast paced brawl. However, the fight wouldn't entirely be shooting at each other.for two minutes. Hank could also use his special training to take advantage of openings made by the MUCH less experienced Pico and go for close range, briefly getting a good combo in before Pico grabs one of his weapons and gets a good shot on Hank before the two get back to their gunfight. Hell, you could even have thee death reference Hank's leagues better experience, with a brutal death. I can imagine this fight being like Jon vs Sabrewulf, a fun and brutal fight showing the two just driving each other to the limit where comes out on top in a glorious bloodbath... except replace the claws and teeth with guns and... more guns.

Why I prefer this MU: either vs Killer Bean is alright, but I just prefer this one more overall.

How likely this will happen: 4/10. Pico's popularity boost from Friday Night Funkin does give him some kind of relevancy and this is his most popular MU... but it is a fairly recent matchup and I just don't see Death Battle using internet characters that aren't RWBY or Red vs Blue.

Number 189: Adam Jensen vs Motoko Kusanagi (Deus Ex vs Ghost in the Shell)

Connections: Both are augmented cyborg soldiers in a dystopian future.

Why I want this: Like with Maul a few entries ago, I also think Ghost in the Shell is decently overdue for an episode. It was one of the most popular anime for a time before everyone forgot about it, so I think that's enough to b worthy of being considered overdue in my opinion, and Deus Ex is cool. So when this MU was brought to my attention via Pit's Top 200 list from early 2020, I started really liking it and really wanting it to happen. There is some really top notch animation potential here, with this fight having the ability to be like Snake vs Sam, where it shows their CQC abilities, as well as showing off their other abilities and prowess. However, unlike one of the best things in existence, this fight could be more brutal, for lack of a better way of putting it. Snake vs Sam was more about fast paced choreography, showing how the two are only human and one good hit could end the other. However, you could have the two deal much more hits to each other, with it not doing much to the other until they are at the peak of their strength, hitting the other hard until one of them comes out on top. That could differentiate. this fight from something like Snakam enough to make this fight not feel like DB trying to make Literal Perfection again.

Roots: Adam

Winner: Adam Jensen. both are overall even in strength, durability, and experience, but Adam's speed and Typhoon Augmentation give him the win in the end.

Animation style: 3D

Soundtrack name: Mankind in a Shell

Why I prefer this MU: ass

How likely this will happen: 6/10. Similar to Maul vs Byakuya before it, this fight has the advantage of featuring a somewhat overdue character and competition not being much of a problem.

Number 188: Aurora vs Oliver (Child of Light vs Ni No Kuni)

Connections: Both are RPG child protagonists who journey through a new world following the death of their mother, guided by their new tiny companion (Igniculus and Drippy respectively), who also aids them from the side lines in combat. Though seemingly weak at first, both soon gain magic powers that let them do battle with the threats of the new world and become more capable fighters, even battling the villain of the story who secretly is strongly related to them (Umbra being Aurora's stepmother and Shadar being another version of Oliver).

Why I want this: You know, there's something really neat about a series you like getting a matchup. It means that... well, your series has a Death Battle matchup and that is a nice feeling, with this MUs conception being one of those times for me. I really enjoyed Child of Light and Ni No Kuni is absolutely one of my favorite RPGs, heck, one of my favorite games of all time, so when Pit one day pitched thee matchup of the main protagonists to both games, I was immediately on board.

This fight does have your typical good animation potential thanks to their magical abilities meshing really well and all that jazz, however, it also has plenty of potential for music... and visuals. Yeah, normally I don't care much for visuals in a fight, as long as it looks good I don't care. However, this one is special in that this fight has a loot of potential for fantastic hand drawn looks. Ni No Kuni was a game in the Ghibli style and Child of Light is just looks fucking stellar in every conceivable way with its hand drawn looks, so this fight is practically a given in the hand drawn style, and I think it could look fucking amazing. You could blend the Ghibli and Child of Light styles together is a stellar looking battle with magic being thrown all over, with not having the potential to look even better in the climax with Aurora's super forms. Thew music could also be great, with Ni No Kuni having some really good music and Child of Light... Child of Light is justspectacular on all corners, imagining a track of these series makes my. mouth water alone, so actually listening to it would be godly in every way.

Winner: Aurora. Both are pretty much even in Strength and Durability, sitting at a comfortable Multi Solar System level, however Aurora has a MASSIVE speed advantage, with MFTL feats while Oliver isn't even superhuman with speed feats, which is more than enough to blitz Oliver.

Why I prefer this MU: Aurora vs Frisk does indeed exist, I'll give it that.

Number 187: Marth vs Erdrick (Fire Emblem vs Dragon Quest)

Connections: Both are brave swordsmen that left their homes as teenagers to save the world and finish what their fathers couldn't who soon grew to be legendary heroes to the point where their descendants would carry on their name and do so in the name of good.

Why I want this: Like I said with Fire Emblem earlier, Dragon Quest is another game series that I'm surprised hasn't gotten an episode yet. It is practically THE defacto JRPG series with Final Fantasy, as two series that put RPGs on the map and were major parts in making the genre as big as it is today. Now granted is more of thing in Japan than anywhere that isn't Japan, but it's place in gaming history is still one that is huge and that is the big reason why I would safely say that it's overdue for an. appearance on Death Battle, with this fight being one of a few that I really like.

This fight could just be real fun. The contrast between Marth's faster sword techniques to Erdrick's slower, more magic based fighting would be cool to see. Have Erdrick and Marth start by fighting with their swords, but Erdrick is overwhelmed due to Marth's fast fighting style and as a result, he starts primarily using his magic, such as fire and lighting and whatnot to keep Marth on his toes, with the fight ending with a one stroke duel to show Marth's speed is impressive, but Erdrick's sheer stat advantage give him the win. That could be a cool way of going around the fight. Music potential is also top notch too, with Fire Emblem and Dragon Quest having some really good music.

Why I prefer this MU: Marth vs Link is not a good, Patrokolos... exists, Warrior of Light... also exists, and Fire Emblem Battle Royale is pretty boring if I'm gonna be honest. As for Erdrick, Dragon Quest Hero Royale is okay, but nothing special.

How likely this will happen: 6/10. With Marth being pretty much the first FE protagonist, I wouldn't be surprised if he got an appearance on the show and this is his most popular pick from what I can tell. However, Dragon Quest not really being all too popular outside of Japan hinders it's chances by quite a bit.

Number 186: Teddie vs Golem (Persona vs Castlevania)

Connections: Both are versions of a standard enemy in their home series (a Shadow and a Golem respectively) who through happenstance ended up gaining sentience that lead them through a... ahem slight existential crisis (Teddie feeling empty inside and suffering from a major lack of identity and Golem being presented with the conundrum of losing his sentience if he follows through with the mission he was given), but ultimately, they put their own troubles aside for the greater good, ending with them battling against an eldritch monster threatening entire worlds (Izanami and the Time Reaper respectively).

Why I want this: Yo, I finally get to talk about my favorite game series again! Let's go!

Anyway, the Midnight Channel Investigation Team is one of those groups of characters that I absolutely love... but most of the members of. said character group don't. really have good MUs. Sure Yu has Josuke, Kanji has Beowulf, and Yosuke has that Under Night In: Birth chick I forgot the name of, but none of these MUs interest me for just generally bore me and Teddie was one of these characters. Sure he did have matchups, but most were either uninteresting or just not good at all. However, all of that changed literally yesterday at the time of me writing this, where Pit was doing a YMN for this matchup on the DBW Discord and I started really wanting it.

This fight is just a bunch of fun. Both Teddie and Golem have shown to have a lot of potential in a fight, so putting them against each other would just be mad based. Meshing the Persona Arena style with the fun looking Castlevania Judgement style of fighting would just be cool as a 3D fight, as Weiss vs Mitsuru has shown that 3D Persona fights work pretty damn well. You could have Golem trying to get past Teddie's versatile arsenal, getting some good hits in, only for it to. be in vain because Teddie... actually has ways to heal himself. Also, music potential is great because Persona just has. godly music all around and Castlevania... in general just has some really good tracks and I'd say they would mesh well in a fight track.

Number 185: Sauron vs The Lich King (Lord of the Rings vs World of Warcraft)

Connections: Both are incredibly powerful dark lords who act as the be all, end all villain of their series. Also, fire vs ice theme lol.

Why I want this: For most, it goes without saying that Lord of the Rings is incredibly overdue for a Death Battle episode... I'm sensing a pattern with most of these entries. It's pretty much one of THE fantasy series and one of the most iconic series of all time, so an episode of Death Battle is kind of a given. So this MU has always been one I really liked and was consistently in my Top 100 most wanted matchups. While not Top 100 good, it's still pretty damn good.

This could be one hell of a fight. You could really show how intimidating and powerful these two ar by having a slower, but chaotic fight, showing their prowess and their massive amounts of power, with them destroying everything around them with a booming soundtrack in th background, emphasizing the power and vil both have.

Speaking of the music, it could also be really cool. You could really emphasize the evil nature of these characters by having this godly soundtrack.

Number 184: Dark Pit vs Lilith (Kid Icarus vs Darkstalkers)

Connections: Both are Clones created (via Mirror of Truth and Belial splitting Morrigan's soul) from the souls of characters (Pit and Morrigan), essentially being an altered version of their personality (Dark Pit is more serious, sarcastic and rude in comparison to Pit's innocence and overall general nice-ness, while Lilith is more innocent compared to Morrigan's sexy and sensuous-ness). Also, angel vs demon theme.

Why I want this: Kid Icarus is a series I would be far from opposed to getting more DB episodes. There are quite a few characters I want to see on the show such as Palutena and Dark Pit and that's pretty much it... y̶e̶a̶h̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶m̶a̶n̶y̶ ̶K̶I̶ ̶M̶U̶s̶ ̶I̶ ̶a̶c̶t̶u̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶l̶i̶k̶e̶. But on the topic of Emo Pit, he is a character that I have constantly have changed what my preferred MU is for him. First It was Dark Meta Knight and now it's Lilith from Darkstalkers, which Is def his best.

The. animation potential is amazing. Pittoo has a vast arsenal and Lilith has some really cool special moves, so seeing those two things mesh together in a no holds bar duel to the death would just be fun. You could have an ariel battle where the two shoot. their. attacks at each other, only for Dark Pit to have a. massive advantage and shoot one of her wings off. However, Lilith then manages to get Pittoo back on thee ground, where she gets the advantage. It could be a really cool dynamic that, if expanded upon, could be fun. Music potential is also pretty good too, as Kid Icarus has really good tracks while Blood Moon pretty much proved that Darkstalkers MUs can provide for great music potential.

Why I prefer this MU: Dark Pit vs Dark Meta Knight/Bass are both also good matchups but I prefer this one, Roxas is literally just Sora vs Pit: Emo Edition and is imo a waste for both, Dark Samus is why, and Beelzemon drives me to alcoholism.

How likely this will happen: 6/10. Roxas has pretty much fallen out of favor for the bast majority of people of Pittoo's opponent after a certain Roxas MU came into the picture and this seems to be his most popular, with the only thing holding this back from a seven being that I just don't see Kid Icarus returning, but the fact that I can see Darkstalkers returning after Jon vs Sabrewulf did well and was well received keeps it from anything lower than a 6.

Number 183: Jack-O vs Android 21 (Guilty Gear vs Dragon Ball)

Connections: Both are Arc System characters who were genetically made artificial experiments in a as a half of original self (The person Android 21 was and Jack-o was made from Sol's wife's DNA aka Justice) that are known for having two split personalities with one being childish and the other being mature (with Androids good and evil side and Jack-O's personality disorder with the childlike personality clashing with a mature persona that switched on a dime) with them also having an affinity towards sweets and candy. Furthermore, both were able to acces their powers due to the powers of the genetics that were implanted in them (21 having Majin powers due to being injected with majin pwoers and how Jack-O had Aria's DNA. aka justice).

Why I want this: Android 21 is one of my top waifus in Dragon Ball, so her in Death Battle would be mad based. However, a main problem was that her matchup spread was both sparce and bad. However, one day, good friend Atombyadam pitched this matchup to a group chat and I was hooked.

The fight here would be great. I mean, come on, it's combining the fast paced action of Dragon Ball and hay bullshit of Guilty Gear, how could it not be great? Jack-O could use her trickier fighting style against 21's plethora of ki attacks as well as fast paced Dragon Ball style would be incredibly cool. You could really show all of the quirkier abilities of these two characters pretty well. Also, music potential is pretty good as always, nothing much to comment on that front. Interactions could bee fun with the playful natures of both Jack-O and 9+10, it could be fun to see.

Overall, I don't really have much else today. It's just a really cool matchup.

Number 182: Auron vs Kratos (Final Fantasy vs Tales of)

Connections: Both are stoic swordsmen with a mysterious past relating to their world's religion.

Why I want this: I think it is safe to say we are massively overdue for a Final Fantasy rep that isn't from Final Fantasy 7. All the games in the series, such. as Final Fantasy 8, 9, 13, 15, and of course 10 all have completely different characters in different worlds and eenvironments and it would be really cool to see non-FF7 Final Fantasy characters, with this being one of the best MUs featuring one of them.

This fight would just be plain, badass fun. Their swordsmanship would be so fun to see clash with Kratos' more 'aggression over finesse' style fitting really well with Auron's style. Auron's abilities such as Dragon Fang and Shooting Star, which would be incredibly fun to see clash with Kratos' six different slashes via combining Base, Master, and Arcane Artes.

Music potential practically goes without saying. Final Fantasy and Tales of both have really great music and seeing the tracks combine to make something. truly amazing, that really pulls from the most iconic pieces from Final Fantasy and Tales of Symphonia respectively, it could just be amazing. You could have rock remixes of the tracks most associated. with them when they gain an edge, with something spectacular for the ending.

Also, some really fun banter is to be had here. Auron's strict no nonsense personalities could lead to cool moments with Kratos, where the two talk as they try to hack and slash the other, with Auron having an advantage at a distance due to his plethora of abilities while Kratos does better up close.

Number 181: Waluigi vs Tingle (Super Mario vs Legend of Zelda)

Connections: Both are goofball who are mainly prevalent in the spin-offs of their home series.

Why I want this: As some of you may know, I am a massive supporter of joke battles. Despite being seen as... well, jokes, some have some stupidly high animation potential and could be funny as hell. While yes the joke fights we did get, with an exception, haven't been the best with the former being a disasterpiece that was made in incredibly poor taste and the latter being one of the most boring things I ever witnessed, I still think there are a few joke matchups that... you know, wouldn't be the most boring 20 minutes of my life. With this fight being one of them.

I see a really fun fight coming out of this particular matchup. Waluigi's vast amount of sports tools and... dancing skills would fit well with Tingle's vast weaponry from Hyrule Warriors leading to a fun animation. You could have Waluigi just hitting Tingle's bomb back with a tennis racket, Tingle fighting up close with CQC while Waluigi fights using dancing, Tingle flying on a big balloon throwing bombs while Waluigi riders in a kart using Mario Kart items, there is a lot of incredibly fun stuff you could do with this matchup, but that isn't the case in just animation. Interactions could be incredibly fun with how weird and goofy both characters are, with both also being incredibly mischievous which could make the interactions even better. Also, music potential is also really good with Waluigi having some really enjoyable themes to listen to, like his one in Mario Strikers Charged and Tingle's spinoff series of games (yes you read that right) having surprisingly decent tracks, it could be incredibly fun.

Number 180: Qrow vs Eizen (RWBY vs Tales of)

Connections: both were cursed with a mysterious aura that brings misfortune to everyone around them with no regard for friend or foe. With that in mind, they've actively avoided the ones they love to avoid bringing undue harm to them. Further still, the two are also associated with Death in some form, due to Qrow's signature scythe and Eizen's in-universe title as the Reaper and because of their abundance of experience and knowledge of the world around them, they've also served as fond mentors to the younger members of the cast in spite of their often moody outlooks, complete with a penchant for telling long stories explaining the world around them. They also share a mutual love for alcohol, and usually take whatever misfortune/crazy antics they encounter in stride with a witty remark or two.

Why I want this: I like Qrow. He is mad based and him in Death Battle would be poggers. So I would always take the chance to talk about whatever my preferred MU for him is on a list, and this is my preferred Qrow MU so...

this fight is just incredibly cool imo. RWBY's fights are really fast paced and Tales of just has some really cool fights throughout the games and I think a fight between these two would be cool. You could have this fact paced fight where Qrow users his aura and whole 'weapon also being a gun' thing to his advantage, doing his bst to outmaneuver Eizen's various magical abilities. Also, really top notch music potential here with RWBY having some great rock tracks and Tales of just has really great fantasy music, so combining both of those things into a fantasy rock track would be great and if it had lyrics, it would be even better and there moody personalities can lead fun banter.

How likely this will happen: 4/10. Qrow has pretty much no competition when it comes to MUs, but this one is still pretty obscure and Qrow isn't exactly one of the most requested RWBY characters out there.

Number 179: Baby vs Vanitas (Dragon Ball vs Kingdom Hearts)

Connections: Both are beings of hatred who are the only ones of their kind who seek to spread their armies and influence across the entire universe.

Why I want this: Jack. It was Jack. He made me like this. Blame him. Okay but all jokes aside, I really do like this matchup a lot. This fight would just be incredibly fun because... I mean come on, Dragon Ball and Kingdom Hearts... together in a fight. Need I say more? Okay. I will.

The insane fighting in Dragon Ball and Kingdom Hearts would be absolutely amazing to see combined together. Both ar fast paced and destructive, so combining said fast paced fighting and destructive potential together practically a recipe for a fantastic fight. The ki attacks and magic of. the two would just be fun to se clash and you could have many fun moments like Baby transforming into the Great Ape with the two having a climactic fight that could destroy a whole galaxy if you really wanted to sell how this fight is destructive and an amazing spectacle. Music potential is absolutely great too, as Tehgm's track for this matchup proved, the track styles for Dragon Ball and Kingdom Hearts mesh pretty well and this would be fun to see. Overall, this MU is pretty good.

Number 178: Itachi vs Madoka Orimura (Naruto vs Infinite Stratos)

Connections: Both are siblings to one of their series' main protagonists (Sasuke and Ichika respectively) who act as parts of a terrorist organisation (Akatsuki and Phantom Task respectively), who were forced into their antagonistic roles due to circumstances out of their control and have ulterior motives that rely on the torment of their brother.

Why I want this: huh, two matchups JackofallTrades made are on this list back to back... neat. Itachi is a character that I'd say is overdue for an episode, mainly because of just how popular the guy is in general, and add the fact that this particular matchup promotes an obscure series with Madoka and Infinite Stratos, and you've got a matchup I am incredibly interested in and once I realized all of the potential this has for a good episode, I started really wanting it.

Firstly, the animation potential is top notch here. Itachi's ninja skills and Justus would clash nicely with Madoka's Infinite Stratos, Silent Zyphers. You could have multiple moments of Itachi using his has against the Infinite Stratos, with Madoka's sharpshooting and Itachi's abilities meshing well against each other, on top of Itachi using genjutsus against Madoka's newer IS Kuroshi... this fight would just be incredibly cool, with fun music potential with Naruto episodes having a good track record of good music (and good episode quality in general).

Why I prefer this MU: Itachi's entire MU spread is pretty generic, with all of them relying on the 'shitty anime siblings' connections and nothing else, making them feel interchangeable as a result.

How likely this will happen: 7/10. This fight was actually acknowledged by the DB crew in a Death Battle Cast and on top of it having a big following and having a good amount of requests, this is actually pretty likely despite the more niche opponent for Itachi. Add the fact that Itachi is one of the most highly requested Naruto characters and most of. the competition being less popular and the chances look good for this one.

Number 177: Yusuke vs Reimu (Yu Yu Hakusho vs Touhou)

Connections: Both are headstrong and lazy guardians of the spirit world tasked with maintaining balance between the spirit and human world, who draw upon their own spiritual energy for offensive purposes.

Why I want this: Yusuke, like Itachi, is up there as one of the most overdue anime characters for the show and it would be really cool to see him finally get on the show. The only problem is that his matchup spread might as well be one of the worst Mu spreads but we will get back to that later. But for now, let's talk about Yusuke's best matchup, which is against Reimu. The fight overall would just be incredibly fun. Animation potential is just absolutely up the ass with this one. Touhou's bullet hell style could mesh really well with Yusuke's insane, albeit MUCH more limited, arsenal that primarily revolves around bullets. But you could also have some up close, hand to hand fighting between the two, where Yusuke has a much better advantage. Speaking of that, this could be an interesting dynamic relating to what I said earlier. When the two are fighting with their ranged attacks, you could show that Reimu has a significant advantage due to bullet hell kinda being her shtick and her dealing with much tougher than Yusuke. However, when Yusuke gets up close, he gains the advantage due to his better training in hand to hand combat because martial arts moment. You could have Yusuke get frustrated that 8 times out of ten he is in a corner and he unlocks his super forms. which give him a boost and be able to contend with Reimu, even beating her in na massive bullet hell fight.,.. until Reimu busts out her MUCH more broken attacks, where Yusuke responds by going completely all out in his super forms, where it ends in clash of their most powerful hits, ending with a completely destroyed planet. Music potential is also fucking amazing, withTouhou being Touhou and whatnot. Interactions could be fun as well, with the personalities the two have clashing pretty well.

Why I prefer this MU: Both Yusuke and Reimu have a lot of... not very good alternatives. So let's go over each one of their alternatives, starting with Yusuke. Ichigo and Danny Phantom both don't need to return, Yoh has a better opponent that we may or may not get to later, Gon is a big why, and Rin Okumura is bad. As for Reimu, I can't really comment on the majority of alternatives because I don't know the character so I'll just go offer the ones I do know... Mario makes me wanna die and Madoka is really bad.

How likely this will happen: 6/10. It's requested, pretty popular, and is one of Yusuke's more popular matchups. I'd say it's pretty likely.

Number 176: Ryuji vs Sailor Jupiter (Persona vs Sailor Moon)

Connections: Both are athletic Japanese high schoolers who fight enemies that threaten their society under their alter ego (Skull and Sailor Jupiter respectively), alongside a squad of fellow fighters that utilise similar tools to them (the Phantom Thieves and the Sailor Guardians respectively). Both are among their team's physically strongest members, specialise in electricity and gain new states of being as their journeys progress (Ryuji awakening to more powerful Personas and Makoto gaining new forms throughout her journey). They're also frequently mistaken for delinquents due to their appearances.

Why I want this: Persona is my favorite game series and Sailor Moon truly means a lot to me for reasons I'll explain later on down the list, so when Pit pitches a matchup combining these two things together, well you could probably tell what I thought of it. This fight is one that I think is just plain fun, with some great music potential because it's Persona and Sailor Moon how could it not and really fun interactions. However, something interesting about this fight is animation potential. Ryuji is immune to Jupiter's main way of attack, however, that means she could be moire focused on committing a sin. AKA: beating the shit out of Ryuji with hand to hand and with Ryuji's Pe3rsona, it could lead to a really fun fight imo.

Roots: Ryuji

Winner: Sailor Jupiter. While Ryuji is flat out immune to Jupiter's electric attacks, that isn't much of a problem when you have better hand to hand combat skills and blitz to hell and back.

Why I prefer this MU: Ryuji vs Okuyasu and Jupiter vs Mami suuuuuuuuuck.

How likely this will happen: 3/10. when the matchup is niche and is only saved from being a 2 or lower by one of the characters featured being a fan favorite and requested a lot for DB.

Number 175: Diane vs Mt Lady (Seven Deadly Sins vs My Hero Academia)

Connections: Both are beeg w*man who are part of a heroic team that fights evil threats.

Why I want this: After a decent amount of time, we return to the Seven Deadly Sins with the second matchup out of the seven on the list with Diane. Now she was probably the hardest to find an opponent without a doubt, to the point where I outright gave up before making this list. However, everything hanged when I realized "oh shit, Diane vs Mt Lady is actually pretty fun" and that's how we got here.

This fight does have a good amount of things going for it. The fact that both are giant gives this matchup an advantage over most. As Godzilla vs Gamera and Dragonzord vs Kiryu proved, giant character fights are incredibly fun and pretty destructive, with this particular matchup being no different. You could have many fun destructive moments, as well as Mt Lady in particular using the environment to her advantage with Diane using her hammer and abilities in a fun, destructive fight, Music potential is also great with Seven Deadly Sins and My Hero Academia having really great music tracks that would mesh really well together.

How likely this will happen: 5/10. Diane has quite a lot of competition and even then she isn't that requested (or at least compared to some of the other sins like Meliodas and Escanor)

Number 174: Sakura Kinomoto vs Illyasviel Von Einzern (Cardcaptor Sakura vs Fate)

Connections: Both are elementary school kids who are magical girls forced into the role by mysterious artifacts, who specialize in card-based summons in combat (the Clow Cards and the Class Cards).

Why I want this: Cardcaptor Sakura is a series that played a decently big role in making magical girl anime as popular as it is today, so I think. she would be cool to see in a Death Battle. So when Moe proposed this matchup on her most wanted list, I was interested but it wasn't until Pit put the matchup on his list that this matchup truly piqued my interest. This fight could work similar to that of army battles, where the fight doesn't entirely rely on the titular character themselves, but rather the summons of both characters. You could have the two start off using their weaker summons due to them not knowing the power of their opponent, however, as the two chip away at their respective armies of lower tier summons, they start using moe powerful and destructive summons, which could lead to escalation of environmental destruction and animation potential. Their is great music potential with Fate music being real good shit as well.

Why I prefer this MU: Sakura has quite a few alternatives, with none of them being good (probably idk I heard Nanoha was a decent alt, but I never heard of her so...). Usagi and Madoka are boring godstomps and Yugi is no.

How likely this will happen: 3/10. Sakura is a pretty popular character when. it comes to requests, but this particular MU has some big competition that just destroys this one in popularity.

Number 173: Man Thing vs Swamp Thing (Marvel vs DC)

Connections: Both are scientists who were caught in accidents that lead to them being turned into hideous plant-based swamp creatures, with both being guardians of some sort of multiversal thing. Both became mindless husks of the men they once were, retaining only a bit of sentience, but while Swamp-Thing regained some of his humanity, Man-Thing remains a mostly emotionless beast.

Why I want this: Man, something about this matchup just really clicks for me. At first, I honestly brushed this off as a generic Marvel vs DC fight but when good friend Loka showed off some shit Swamp Thing can do (which we will get to later), I started genuinely liking this one.

The animation potential is pretty much up the ass with this one, with Man Thing's reality warping and Swamp Things more... out there arsenal meshing really well, with the potential to destroy the whole universe. You could have so many different things that would be incredibly amazing to see. Hell, you could have Swamp Thing go full power with Man Thing using his most powerful reality warping abilities. in a. final clash that could destroy the very fabric of the universe they are fighting in.

Honestly this is all I really had to say about this one, I really like this matchup.

Winner: Swamp Thing. Man Thing does have some powerful has yes, but in comparison to Swamp Thing, he has nothing. the most insane Man Thing gets is his whole "being the nexus for reality" thing which is pretty neat. Swamp Thing, on the other hand, has mind hax that is more powerful than that of SPECTRE, can bring himself back to life with sheer raw power alone, send Superman flying in the air in one hit when he was LACKING a body, can tap into the greens power from other realities, and his most impressive ability of all... the fact that he can give fruit the memories of dead children (yes that is actually a thing... no I don't know why either). Also, you wanna know the best part about all of those feats I mentioned? Those were him while he was holding back. I'm not joking.

So TL;DR Man Thing is just fucked.

Why I prefer this MU: Swamp Thing vs Groot is pretty much Man Thing vs Swamp Thing but shit.

How likely this will happen: 6/10. it's a Marvel vs DC fight with a decently sized following and decent amount of requests. Do I even need to explain the rating? Well I mean, I just did but still.

Number 172: Platinum The Trinity vs Chibiusa (Blazblue vs Sailor Moon)

Connections: Both are bratty, immature, and inexperienced small magical girls who are socially awkward to the world around them, are both very attached to their father figure (Chibiusa with Mamoru and Platinum with Jubei), and both finally want to mature in their own right to become a beautiful lady but both have different reasons (Platinum wants to mature their body so they could impress and not be jealous of other women's body figures and Chibiusa wants to mature to be like a full adult and act like one too.).

Why I want this: Blazblue... you return to this list after a really long time I see... and with a matchup also featuring a series that means a lot to me... well sign me up then.

Okay but all jokes aside, this matchup is pretty cool. The animation potential is a plenty here, with Sailor Moon's insane, galactic scale battles with Blazblue... being as broken as it is would be really great and one hell of a fight. You could have the two just shooting and hitting each other with incredibly powerful attacks that destroy the things around them, having really little to no care about how they are... you know, pretty much destroying everything around them. Banter is absolutely god tier with this one as well, with both being as bratty as they are. It could lead to really funny moments of the two just insulting each other and talking down the opponent in an immature way. Music potential is also pretty great here with Sailor Moo. having some really good tracks and Blazblue having a really good soundtrack as well.

Why I want this: Honestly thesis a matchup thatI really don't know. how. to introduce properly, so I'm just gonna get right into why I really like it.

Animation potential is just amazing. Both characters have a ridiculous set of abilities, so imagining them clash is absolutely great to see. You could have their more manipulative sides be represented with the two trying to deceive the other and get the upper hand with their insane abilities and manipulation, ending. with the winner essentially backing the other against a wall they can't escape from thanks to a combination of both power and deceit giving the winner a massive edge. That could be a really nicely to really show who these. characters are; powerful religious figures who's stories in the games they originated from were primarily. about deception and manipulation.

Music potential is also really good, with both series having great soundtrack that could lend to a really fun and powerful track that could feel heavenly, but slowly turning into something darker as the fight goes on, to kinda reference their stories run the games they originated from. Add the fact that this gives Fire Emblem it's overdue appearance and a more niche series into Death Battle and you have matchup I gladly want to see happen.

Connections: Both are young witches in training, who despite coming from polar opposite backgrounds, share the same strong passion for learning magic and following in the footsteps of their mentor figures. That same passion, combined with their energetic, impulsive natures, has led them into numerous roadblocks along the way, often causing trouble for both themselves and their friends. When they do start to apply themselves and stop seeking easy shortcuts, however, both are capable of many great magical feats, and they've even gone on to help save the world and earn the approval of their mentors along the way.

Why I want this: I recently decided to give Little Witch Academia a shot by watching a few episodes and I liked it, so it's only natural that I'd want Akko on Death Battle. So I remembered that this matchup was a thing and now we're here. Animation potential is honestly really damn great, with both having really varied magical arsenals that would be fun to see clash.

Akko's more potent magic could mean she has the advantage at first, but Wilbell turns it all around with her better magical skill and versatility, but Akko's magic potency still keeps her in thee fight. The two could then start using their more insane abilities where it could end in a flashy as hell finishing blow. This fight really has a lot of potential to be really cool. Also, interactions and music are also mad poggers. Interactions would be fun due to just how energeti and passionate about magic the two are and music potential is good too because Atelier moment.

Winner: Wilbell Vol-Erslied. While Akko's magic is more potent overall, Wilbell's. sheer power, greater versatility, and overall better experience give her the win.

Number 169: Mephiles vs Cetrion (Sonic The Hedgehog vs Mortal Kombat)

Why I want this: Sonic and Mortal Kombat are two series that I would've never expected to get combined for anything ever... well, outside of this particular matchup. This fight is one that has really warmed up to me. I won't lie, at first, I thought this was pretty much a Fanon matchup that someone liked for some reason, but when good friend Dangerous made a fight for this matchup and Pit put this on his most wanted list and I started genuinely liking this one.

The animation potential is really high with this one, their ridiculous abilities clash really well and would provide for an incredibly destructive fight. You could have Cetrion perform her most powerful abilities, but Mephiles tricks her and gets a really good hit on her which would idk, like blow an arm off or something, which would be really cool. Music potential is also incredibly top tier because Sonic go brrrrrrrrrrr, and it would just be. incredibly fun to see.

How likely this will happen: 2/10. Mortal Kombat 11's relevance has pretty much died out, Mephiles isn't highly requested at all, and this matchup doesn't have any following to speak of... yeah things don't look good at all for this one.

Number 168: Mandalorian vs Goblin Slayer (Star Wars vs Goblin Slayer)

Connections: Both are mysterious masked men who were orphaned as children and take up arms to live life as a hunter.

Why I want this: More representation of Star Wars characters that didn't originate from the films would be pretty cool in my opinion, as that would pretty much open a door to many different characters from the series that didn't come from the mainline films. And I think Mandalorian would be a good starting character for this, mainly due to his (or to be more accurate, his show's) popularity and just better mainstream appeal, with this being his best matchup by far. You could have an incredibly fun fight that could be more down to earth than most other fights on Death Battle, where it's moreso reliant on there she skill and strategy rather than insanely overpowered weaponry or hax that could wipe out a whole universe. Just two bounty hunters beating the shit out each other in a down to earth, but brutal fashion with amazing music potential because Star Wars go brrrrrrrrrr, some fun interactions due to their tones being slightly different to the point of it being noticeable for fun interactions, and Goblin Slayer getting on Death Battle.

Connections: Both are eldritch squid-like horrors that are feared throughout the cosmos of their respective universes.

Why I want this: More book characters in Death Battle would be pretty cool. The only book character we got iirc was Harry Potter way back in Season 1, so I'd think we are a bit overdue for another. Now granted, there are reasons why DB hasn't tried doing another in a long time, such as the lack of visual feats for most book characters which is understandable, but I think that characters like Cthulhu have enough visual media that it wouldn't really matter.

For this matchup specifically, there is a lot you can. do both animation and music wise. The animation potential is great, as you could've this cosmic scale fight which shows Shuma and Cthulhu's reality warping abilities is a great fight. You could have Cthulhu warp. the reality they are fighting into something strange and... well, warped and Shuma countering with reality warping of his own, Shuma growing in size to match Cthulhu's massive size and the two destroying planet after planet, star after star, in a fun reality warping fight, with it all ending with Shuma dragging a helpless Cthulhu into his realm, killing the hentai kaiju with his true form in an incredibly brutal death. showcasing the sheer power of a full powered Shuma. This could be one of the most destructive fights on the show in general.

Music potential is also really good. You could make this combination of rock and more... uncanny music like Horses by David Byrnes to both fit the characters and to say that I listened to a rock Cthulhu track. During the scenes. where. the two are destroying everything, you could have the rock part of. the. track take center stage, but when stuff like Cthulhu and Shuma warping reality and using their abilities it can be a more uncanny and creepy. track to emphasize. how both of these entities are beyond comprehension, ending with a combination of the rock and creepy during the climax and death. The much could just be incredibly great.

How likely this will happen: 3/10. Cthulhu isn't requested for DB that much and the competition does put up a good fight.

Number 166: Android 17 vs Cyborg (Dragon Ball vs DC)

Why I want this: Yeah, while the connections aren't exactly the most tight things around, this fight is still one that I really like. As Goku vs Supeerman proved, DC. vs Dragon Ball have a lot. of potential, mainly due to the insanity of DC and Dragon Ball, with this one being no different. 17 being a Dragon bBall automatically means there will be some good hand to hand. and ki stuff, while Cyborg's more versatile could lend to a cool dynamic where 17 does better up close while Cyborg's tech could keep him in the fight, it could be really cool and while it wouldn't reach Goku vs Superman levels of insane, it would still fun to watch. One top of the good music potential and a decently overdue character making his appearance with Cyborg, this is just a good matchup despite the admittedly weak connections.

Winner: uh... idk. The victor of this fight really depends on if Cyborg is herald level or not. If he is, then he outstats. If not, then 17 grinds him into paste.

Number 165: Sheena vs Asuka (Tales of vs Senran Kagura)

Connections: Both are clumsy ninjas who hail from famed ninja families that specialize in summons.

Why I want this: If the amount of entries in this short span of time was anything to go by, Tales of in Death Battle is something that genuinely interests me and that has lead me to wanting a lot of matchup with Tales of characters throughout the series (a lot of them being from Tales of Symphonia because that's the only I really know much about), with this being far from the last Tales of Mu on the list and Senran Kagura is cool too, so this matchup is really cool.

The animation potential is just great. This could be a really fast paced fight similar to Shredder vs Silver Samurai, but with a lot more going on because they also have the ability to summon shit, which could make this fight even more insane. You could have the two fighting each other, both by themselves and their summons fighting each other like in Weiss vs Mitsuru, just a lot more fast paced thanks to them being ninjas. The interactions could be really fun thanks to both being clumsy and generally... not that bright, which could be funny, the music could b great with both series having some top notch music which proves the potential a track combining both series music would be, and lesser known getting representation is based.

Number 164: Archer vs Hakumen (Fate vs Blazblue)

Connections: Both are future versions of characters from alternate universes/timeline (Shirou and Jin respectively) who soon made contracts to become as the world's put it heroes (Rachel & Alaya) before soon being summoned into the past (Archer being summoned for the Holy Grail War & Hakumen being sent back into the past) With them encountering their past selves in combat (with Archer clashing with Shirou and Hakumen having some isntances of fighting Jin. With both having to also walks do to the deaths of those dear to them (with Emiya killing Shinji after he murdred sakura & Jin figthing Nu-13 after she killed Tsubaki). Both have them also have a history of being servants and fighting aside and against current descendants of royal bloodlines with high reputations do to their overall prowess in battle (Rin and the Tohsaka family & Rahcel and the Alucard family. albeit the last one's switches considering he sometimes goes against Rachel more times than not).

Why I want this: This matchup is one that I really like. Animation potential is really high, with the insane sword prowess of both characters. While yes, Hakumen only has one sword while Archer has... a lot of them, I still think you could have something interesting here. Maybe have. Hakumen be doing well against most of Archer's attacks at first and then have Archer's more powerful weaponry slowly overwhelm Hakumen. You could also have Archer copy Hakumen's weapon and if you wanted to, you could have Hakumen do better because he is more skilled with his weapon as opposed to someone who just copied it, that could be a fun moment as well. Music potential is also great because of how great Fate music is. and Blazblue is just a. series with a lot of potential for good music. Overall, good matchup.

Number 163: Lord Raptor vs Brook (Darkstalkers vs One Piece)

Connections: Both are undead musicians who are still able to continue the music despite... you know.

Why I want this: more One Piece in Death battle would be pretty cool, as it's one of those series where I would really like to learn more about it without needing to read up on 1000+ chapters and more Darkstalkers in DB would be based, so when this matchup starting going around, I was really starting to like it. Animation potential is just amazing here and you could have an interesting set up, like the fight taking place in a concert where the fight just goes completely all out with the style while not lacking in substance either. You could have both of their attacks mesh really well, their zany abilities clash, and have the fight and with the area where the two are performing (as well as the loser... so Raptor) get obliterated by the winner's most powerful attack in a glorious shot. It could be great.

Dialogue potential is also just amazing with the more... out there personalities the two have lending themselves to incredibly fun interactions and music potential... they are literally musicians, I'd be surprised if this didn't have great music potential.

Winner: Brook. Lord Raptor does have the speed advantage, but Brook's MUCH greater stats in strength and durability are able to keep him alive long enough to take out Raptor for good.

How likely this will happen: 4/10. It has risen in popularity by a good margin, but it's still on the more niche side of things all things considered.

Number 162: Natsu vs Luffy (Fairy Tail vs One Piece)

Connections: Both are lighthearted shonen protagonists from rival anime series, who lead teams that are part of a larger faction.

Why I want this: Back in the day, I used to really want Natsu vs Ace. It was up there as one of my most wanted for a while, so when Megazord vs Voltron came out and that next time was revealed to be exactly that, I was hyped... and then the episode came out and I liked it... or at least I did back then. After rewatching the episode recently, yeah that episode was by far one of the most boring in the whole series, with both the analysis and animation being nothing special, so I have been wanting him to return and against Luffy.

Now you may be thinking that Natsu vs Luffy would just be Natsu vs Ace again, but with slightly less fire involved, but no. There is enough to differentiate Luffy from his more dead sibling, such as how Luffy could provide a better fist to fist fight. Both have some incredibly destructive attacks and seeing them clash would be fun in a destructive as hell fistfight. You could have some fun moments like Luffy's rubber body not being affected by Natsu's Fire Dragon Roar abilities, you could have that be a nice detail during the fight. The steady increase destruction could be really neat as well, at first you could have the destruction being only at around Building evel, but as the two start going through their super forms, it can only get more insane and destructive, before it ends in a clash between Fire Dragon King Natsu and Fourth Gear Luffy, which would just e spectacle in it of itself. There versatility can also be enjoyable to see clash, as both have pretty vast arsenals of attacks and seeing alll the various attacks hit would be nice.

With the added pros of fun interactions potential and some great music potential, I really think this is a good matchup and one that would be fun to see happen.

Winner: Luffy. It's pretty close, but Luffy should take stats by a slight margin.

Why I prefer this MU: Luffy has a lot of opponents, so let's just get all of this over with... Toriko is okay but Fairy Tail bias moment, Naruto doesn't need to return, Kamala Kahn I just don't get, Spongebob legit baffles me, and I'm still trying to wrap my head around Deku.

How likely this will happen: 7/10. While the huge popularity peak of this matchup has sailed long ago (...ha), it's still an iconic rivalry matchup in the anime space and it's one of Luffy's more popular and mainstream opponents, so I can see this happening at some point.

Number 161: Dedue vs Gamagori (Fire Emblem vs Kill La Kill)

Connections: Both are students at a highly esteemed military academy (Garreg Mach and Honnouji Academy respectively) that worships an esteemed lady one of the students plots to overthrow (Rhea and Ragyo respectively).and serve a student of high social standing (Dimitri and Satsuki respectively), both of whom are known for their incredible skill and complete lack of mercy, with both Dedue and Gamagori acting as their shields (Dedue canonically being of the Knight class and Gamagori's Scourge Regalia being designed to take hits and then dish them out ten fold) and are also willing to fight and die for the one they've sworn their loyalty to (Dedue nearly sacrificing himself to help Dimitri escape captivity and Gamagori nearly taking his own life after Ryuko beat him in battle). Also, obvious similar appearances is obvious.

Why I want this: This matchup has grown on me heavily. When I first heard of it, I didn't care much for it, until I started really noticing all of the potential this matchup has and added it to this list.

This matchup is so much fun. The animation potential is incredible, with both lending to a fun brawl. You could have Gamagori's Scourge Regalia be used to it's advantage, making all of Dedue's hit essentially hit back ten fold it's power, but that affecting Dedue just due to how tenacious thee guy is. Who could have a no. holds bar fight to really show the merciless nature of both fighters with a really brutal death if you wanted. Music potential is also amazing, with Kill La Kill having some great tracks, as well as Fire Emblem, which could lend to a fun track altogether. Interactions are also gold because... it's Gamagori, how could interactions with him not be great?

Winner: Gamagori. Dedue is more versatile and has the speed advantage, but Gamagori has better range and is stronger.

Number 160: Jiro vs Lucio (My Hero Academia vs Overwatch)

Why I want this: My Hero Academia is mad based, so more of it's characters in Death Battle would be poggers. So when this matchup was brought to my attention all the way back when I started working my first Top 100 back in October, I immediately started liking it a lot. because of how fun it is. Animation potential is aplenty here, with Jiro's various sound abilities clashing really well with Lucio's. You could have Jiro take a more strategic approach to Lucio's more fast paced abilities, but when she's backed into a corner, she will just go in with sheer force (or sheer sound idk),with that working. to Lucio's advantage, with the death being something earrape because that fits the matchup really well. Also, music potential is great because both are sound heroes, that enough should tell you that.

Number 159: Blackbeard vs King K Rool (One Piece vs Donkey Kong)

Connections: Both are overweight pirates who are. trying to steal fruit (the devil fruits and DK's banana hoard) who proved themselves to be intimidating forces by matching the power of a man known for their incredible strength (K Rool kidnapping and torturing DK while Blackbeard had a major role in the death of Whitebeard)

Why I want this: K Rool is cool and an overdue character for the show, I want to learn more about One Piece, and the matchup in general is just plain fun. It's the perfect storm to me. The animation potential is great. You could have a fun fight meshing K Rool's gadgets and weaponry with Blackbeard's devil fruit powers, like having K Rool use his cannon, only for Blackbeard's abilities suck it in and. he throws it back at him or having K Roo's helicopter pack com int play at some point. You could also have fun moments with the banter, as both are known for their personalities, so seeing them clash would be great. I also think there could be a sense of progression throughout the fight, where the two start off goofier at first, but ash f fight progresses, they come more intimidating and vicious. That could really show both the goofy and genuinely threatening sides of these two really well. Also, music potential is great with the DK series lending itself to fun music and Sanji vs Rock Lee proving that One Piece lends itself to some fun DB tracks, as Shadow of the Deep proved.

Roots: K Rool

Winner: King K Rool. Blackbeard does have more destructive abilities overall, but K Rool dos have a decent stat advantage and is more versatile.

Why I prefer this MU: K Rool vs Ridley used to be my preferred matchup for both, but then this and another Ridley matchup overtook K Rool vs Ridley, King Dedede and Bowser also feel like blowouts to me.

How likely this will happen: 8/10. Blackbeard and K Rool are pretty highly requested and the commissioned track by Brandon Yates made this matchup more mainstream.

Number 158: Gaara vs Anna (Naruto vs Shaman King)

Connections: Both are characters with sand abilities, that were persecuted from an extremely early age because of a power they struggled to control that manifests as a powerful monster (Gaara's Jinchuriki and Anna's Oni respectively) who were also responsible for the deaths of someone close to them (Yashamaru and Matamune respectively), which also caused them to grow extremely cold and distant, though both would eventually be relinquished of the beast that burdened them thanks to the efforts of their series' main characters, albeit at the loss of certain abilities.

Why I want this: While his episode wasn't awful, I think that Gaara is worthy of a return. He has gotten a lot of new things since Gaara vs Toph and seeing him return to show off those abilities and feats would be pretty cool. So when I realized this matchup existed, I started really wanting it to happen. Animation potential is really fun, both of their abilities have been shown to be really vast and the added touch of the spiritual influence behind said powers (with the whole Gaara's mother thing and Anna's Shikigami Zenki and Goki) could make it better. You could have Shikigami go on the offensive, but the sand pretty much blocks any and all advances while Gaara waits for the right opening to attack. You could have Gaara take advantage of Anna's aggressiveness as well by getting good hits on her while shew has a big opening, or at least try to. Anna has the ability to read minds, so that could lead to Gaara's attempts failing and as a result, he starts getting more offensive and the two engage in a full on brawl, with the two trying to hit each other with Gaara failing because mind reading moment and Anna failing because Gaara's deceased mother moment, before it ends with a brutal death (or at least something better than what we got in Gaara's fight against Toph). Music potential is also high thanks to both Naruto and Shaman King having some good tracks that mesh really well.

Number 157: Ben Tennyson vs Geo Stelar (Ben 10 vs Mega Man)

Connections: Both are teenagers that wield alien tech, which gives them an incredibly vast and versatile set of abilities (Ben with his alien transformations and Geo with the various battle chips he has).

Why I want this: On the topic of characters that I think deserve a second shot on the show, Geo is a character that I. really think would be cool to see return. Like with Volnutt, I think them having a separate episode would be neat and for Geo, his best matchup is definitely Ben 10.

The animation and music potential are both great, so let's start with the music potential. As Emerald Heroes showed, Ben 10 Chas some great potential and Mega Man games generally have some real tp notch music, so seeing their styles mesh into something amazing would be great. Next, animation potential and... yeah I have a lot to say in this category. Ben's shitton of aliens and Geo's stupidly vast amounts of battle chips could lead to incredibly fun moments. You could have stuff like Chromasone redirecting Geo's laser blasts, the two flying across the universe while constantly switching aliens and battle chips respectively while destroying whole solar systems in their wake, with a fantastic climax with Alien X and one of Geo's super forms in a reality fucking showdown. The ending could really be great, such as Alien X's reality warping backing Geo into a corner, but he then gains the idea of trying to hack the Omnitrix and from there it becomes the question of if Ben can kill Geo before he gets to hack the omnitrix or not, which would be really fun.

How likely this will happen: 7/10. the Death Battle crew has expressed interest in bringing back of the Mega Men, such as X, Geo, and Volnutt and this has gained a decently big following and is requested. The only thing really holding this one back in my eyes is that something tells me DB doesn't want to touch Ben 10 for a while after Ben vs Hal's heavy amounts of backlash.

Number 156: Homer Simpson vs Peter Griffin (The Simpsons vs Family Guy)

Connections: Both are overweight, alcoholic fathers who's shows are pretty much the same.

Why I want this: It's just a lot of fun in my eyes. Like Waluigi vs Tingle before it, this does give off mad Smokey vs McGruff vibes, but similar to other matchups on this list like Scott vs Nathaniel and Waluigi vs Tingle, I think there is enough here to make it a matchup that would actually be fun to watch a Death Battle for. The animation potential is actually really good. Yes the characters don't have varied arsenals, but there is still a lot you could do. Have the fight take place in Springfield (or Quahog, either works well) where it starts as a bar fight, until it becomes something more as the two start using the environment to their advantage. and causing a lot of destruction throughout whatever town they're fighting in. It could be some really fun stuff and a fight that could be amazing to watch. Interaction and banter potential would also be great. Both are dumb as bricks and the official Homer vs Peter fight proved that the interactions could be absolute gold.

Winner: Homer Simpson. Peter has a more lethal arsenal and is pretty damn difficult to kill, but Homer takes all stats and Peter's best feats are either non-canon or from cutaway gags that often questioned if they're canon or not, with most leaning the latter.

Number 155: Zenitsu vs Arthur Boyle (Demon Slayer vs Fire Force)

Connections: Both are electric swordsmen who's swords use the power of the sun/flames, who maintain their swords power with proper breathing control, and also live in a world where people turn into demons, with them acting as exterminators. They also try to act like the chivalrous idols they look up to, but kinda fail due to the former's cowardice/perviness and the latter's sheer dumbassery. But they are masters of fighting based on pure instinct and still fulfill their roles as lancers despite their short comings. Both also got totally ditched by their parents at a young age.

Why I want this: Demon Slayer is a series I recently decided to watch and I started really wanting th series too make an appearance in Death Battle, ben though it is pretty recent. There Arte two DS matchups that I want to see happen, a Tanjiro matchup that we will get into in a bit and this matchup. The animation potential is high, as both are. known for their fast paced abilities. Zenitsu's various breath techniques clashing with Arthur's sheer force could be cool to see. Nearthe end, you could have death fake out, where Arthur assumes he killed Zenitsu after a good hit that sent him flying, only for the Demon Slayer to get into his weird form he gets into when he's unconscious and they start fighting, where Zen gets an advantage before Arthur pulls out a massive victory. The interaction potential is also pretty great. Zenitsu's cowardice and Arthur's stupidity would be fun to see mesh when it comes to interactions.

Why I prefer this MU: I'm just going to be completely honest here... if I could go back to my Least Wanted list remake I did a few months back and were able change. an entry, I would put Zenitsu vs Kaminari in place of something else. The matchup is honestly just not good at all, with connections that aren't any deeper than 'electric protagonists from popular modern anime' and I don't really see the animation potential either.

How likely this will happen: 2/10. Kaminari exists and the matchup is pretty niche.

Number 154: King Bradley vs Solidus Snake (Fullmetal Alchemist vs Metal Gear)

Connections: Both are military and political leaders of unusual birth taking a more leadership focused role than their “siblings” that have artificially empowered bodies from an inside and outside source respectively.

Why I want this: More Metal Gear in Death Battle would just be based. Both Snake vs Sam and Wolverine vs Raiden are highly regarded as some of the best episodes in the whole series and getting more episodes of that quality from this series would be really great. So. when. I first heard of this matchup in CSK's 200 favorite matchups list, I was interested. Then the Brandon Yates commission for this matchup came out and that was when I was completely on board with this one.

This matchup has some really top notch animation potential. Both of their prowess in swords and guns can lend to a fun and brutal animation where the two are evenly matched at. first, until Bradley starts using his Ultimate Eye to his advantage by analyzing Solidus' attacks, which does give him an advantage as he takes advantage of opening made by Solidus to land some meaty hits. But Solidus then starts using his Snake Arms do counter Bradley by grabbing and choking anime Hitler at every opportunity, leading to Bradley using multiple swords at once to catch Solidus offguard and briefly keep him at a distance for a brief period of time or hell, Solidus injecting a drug into Bradley to make things harder for him, with Bradley just powering through by sheer wrath alone and landing a deadly blow to Solidus would be really fun. There is plenty of things that you could do with this one. Music potential is great as well, as Sins of Liberty proved this matchup has potential for a great music track.

Number 153: Shigaraki vs Kabuto (My Hero Academia vs Naruto)

Connections: Both are teenagers who were corrupted by a big bad of their series to work for their cause (All For One and Orochimaru) that are notorious for their high kill counts.

Why I want this: The sheer potential brutality of this fight is really a major reason why I want this matchup. Both have incredibly high kill counts, mostly due to how psychotic both characters are and seeing two of these merciless psychopaths duke it out would just be great. Both could just outright try to kill each other up close as quickly as possible at first, but then Shiggy starts using All For One to his advantage and Kabuto starts using a whole bunch of his jutsus, not sacrificing the bloodshed. You could still have each other getting good hits on one another, with the death being on par with Job Talbain vs Sabrewulf in sheer bloodshed.

Winner: Kabuto. Shigaraki does have the better stats from what I heard, but Kabuto's hax is just too much for him to handle.

Number 152: Altair vs Spectre (Re:Creators vs DC)

Connections: Both are extremely powerful, nigh-omnipotent reality warpers out for vengeance against those who wronged them that aren't afraid to resort to truly brutal means to get the job done. Also despite their roles, their moral alignment is somewhat ambiguous (Altair being a villain mainly out of despair due to her creator committing suicide and The Spectre being a hero that demands justice and believes killing those that wronged him would satisfy that desire).

Why I want this: the insane reality warping and hax of these two characters would just be amazing to watch clash. Both of their ruthlessness would lead to the two just trying to outfox the other and that would just b a fun fight to watch. But Spectre's hand to hand abilities, as well as Altair's set. of weaponry can also mesh really well. You could have the fight start off with them not using too much of their haxxier abilities, but as the fight goes on,, it turns into a full on hax based fight, with them using all the abilities they have to. try and kill the other as painfully as possible, showing that these characters are pretty damn ruthless and merciless in killing their opponents. At the end, you could have this climax where Spectre just gives out this massive speech about justice and how killing those that get. ins way will make the world better and overwhelm Altair, who's last memories are her remembering her creator and realizing that they will be together again soon... shit that got dark. Uh... music potential is also pretty damn great and a more obscure getting recognition is based.

Winner: Spectre. All of their hax pretty much counter or cancel each other out and both are even in speed, so it really comes down to sheer power, which Spectre has a major advantage in.

Number 151: Tsunade vs Yoruichi (Naruto vs Bleach)

Connections: Both are female Shonen teachers infamous for their old age despite their appearances, who are also themed around a certain animal.

Why I want this: While the connections are relatively bare bones compared to other matchups on this list, this is still a good enough matchup to the point where a lack of connections barely matters to me.

Naruto vs Bleach fights have a lot of potential for fun animations... but the problem is that most of the matchups, such as Kaguya vs Ywach to name one, are pretty bad and only really exist because of the rivalry. However, like most things, there are exceptions to the rule, with this being said exception. Not only does it have actual connections, but it also has some damn solid animation and music potential. Let's switch things up a bit and talk about the music first. The previous Naruto vs Bleach fight we got, Naruto vs Ichigo, proved how good a Naruto vs Bleach matchups' potential could be with Shonen Showdown, so getting another N vs B track would just be great. Now for animation potential which, while not as amazing as Naruto vs Ichigo, is still pretty damn good. The fast paced styles of the two. could mesh really well and the fight could have a sense of escalation to it like with Naruto vs Ichigo, where it starts simple but they then start using their Moree powerful attacks which leads to destructive moments and a really flashy death.

Roots: Tsunade

Winner: Yoruichi. Tsunade's ridiculous healing factor could give Yoruichi a decently though time, but more times than not, Yoruichi's MUCh higher stats give her a win.

Why I prefer this MU: Tsunade vs Litchi never interested me tbh.

How likely this will happen: 8/10. It's the second most popular and requested Naruto vs Bleach matchup outside of Naruto vs Ichigo and a certain other matchup I'll get into way later on the list, so I think it has pretty high chances of happening.

Number 150: Blaze vs Starfire (Sonic The Hedgehog vs DC)

Connections: Both are princesses from other worlds (Starfire from another planet and Blaze from a completely different dimension altogether) that team up with a rag tag group of heroes.

Why I want this: Now this is a controversial pick. As you likely know, I like the Sonic series a lot and it's my second favorite game series, mainly due to the high points being REALLY high and I just really like the cast of characters and seeing them on Death Battle would be really fun and Blazeis no exception. She is the best girl in the series and her on Death Battle would be mad based and this is definitely her best matchup.

Animation potential is really top notch. You could have this fight start off as a regular fist to fist. brawl, before Blaze starts using her pyrokinetic. abilities and. STarfire starts using her plasma abilities as well, with the fight escalating before Starfire has Blaze backed into a corner, but she then activates Burning Blaze andthwe two start fighting on a more cosmic scale, ending in a climatic clash. This fight could just be really fun and enjoyable. Interactions could be fun too with the contrasting personalities of both combatants and music has potential to be really damn great, as the Sonic Rush series, the games where Blaze had her most prominent role in, have some really enjoyable main themes , so hearing rock remixes of these tracks in a fight track would just be great.

Winner: Like with Cyborg vs Android 17, this really depends on if you buy herald level Starfire. If you do, then Starfire wins via taking all stats, If you don't, Blaze wins with low-mid difficulty.

Why I prefer this MU: Blaze vs Sailor Mars feels pretty bland to me, vs Daisy is why, and vs Azula is honestly pretty mid.

How likely this will happen: 8/10. Blaze and Starfire are pretty high in their series character requests and. the matchup is pretty popular overall. Only thing really holding this back is Blaze vs Azula, but even that's not really a big issue since Azula has an incredibly popular opponent in a certain Fire Maiden that we will get more into later (who has the advantage of being from Rooster Teeth's head show, making Blaze vs Starfire's chances even higher).

Number 149: Bowser Jr vs Tron Bonne (Super Mario vs Mega Man)

Connections: Both are spoiled children that are the heirs of powerful families that also pilot mechs for combat.

Why I want this: More Mega Man characters that aren't the Mega Men themselves would be cool to see and more Mario in Death Battle would be based, so this matchup was one I started liking as soon as I heard of it. Animation potential is pretty top notch. Junior's Koopa Clown Car is shown to be pretty versatile with various weaponry like drills and a cannon and Tron's mech also has a diverse set of abilities, so it would be really fun to see these two fight. You could also have an army battle between Servbots and Junior's Mechakoopas and Tron managing to get Junior off his mech, but then Junior transforms into Shadow Mario and the two start fighting, with SM gaining an advantage because of how agile he now is, before he manages to get Tron off her mech and then he gets back on his and kills Tron, that could be pretty fun to watch. Music potential is also pretty great with Mario and Mega Man music having some poggers soundtracks and interactions could be fun as well.

Numbers 148: Shantae vs Sash Lilac (Shantae vs Freedom Planet)

Why I want this: Shantae in Death Battle would just be really cool if you ask me. I enjoyed both Risky's Revenge and Pirate's Curse and I've been interested in giving Half Genie Hero a shot as of late (also she's a top tier waifu and more of those in Death Battle is based poggers awesome imo). So this matchu8p is one that I really started to like. The potential for a fast paced and fun fight is high. Lilac is a game inspired by Sonic, so she generally has a more fast paced set of abilities. Shantae, while not as frantic, still has a versatile set of abilities like her animal transformation. A fight farthing Shantae's transformations and pride gear from Pirate's Curse and Lilac's hand to hand and speed based attacks could be really fun to see clash. You could have Lilac control most of the pacer of. the fight thanks to her being an overall faster character in the battlefield, but Shantae can still take an advantage envy now and then thanks to her versatile moves. You could have some really fun choreography moments. Music potential is amazing too. Both series have. some really, really good soundtracks and Brandon Yates already did a track of this fight with Tehgm, which proved that. combining both soundtracks together for a Death Battle tracks would lead to some really great stuff. Interactions are also pretty fun thanks to the personalities of both characters.

Connections: Both are manipulative serpent themed antagonists based off of mythological figures of the same name.

Why I want this: As I probably mentioned earlier, I adore Soul Eater and really want to see more of it on Death Battle, and we are long overdue for a Naruto villain making an appearance on the show (seriously, how have we gone nearly 150 episodes and we haven't had a Naruto villain?), so this matchup was one I grew to like a lot. Interactions could be incredibly fun thanks to their sharp tongues lending to fun moments with the two, with their smiley and manipulative sides also lending really nicely. Animation potential is pretty high tier as well. Orochimaru and Medusa both have some really vast arsenals of jutsus and magical abilities respectively, so seeing them mesh in a fight would just be really fun overall. Music potential is great as well, with Naruto showing on multiple occasions that the series has plenty of good music potential and Soul Eater has shown great music potential with Madness Envemon, the only thing remotely memorable about Crona vs Venom. Overall, good matchup.

Number 146: Robin vs Jellal (Fire Emblem vs Fairy Tail)

Why I want this: I'm certain that I have made it pretty clear that I really want more Fairy Tail in Death Battle, not just because it's one of my favorite anime of all time, but because it's track record in Death Battle... hasn't exactly been the best. Natsu vs Ace was a forgettable slog, Zoro vs Erza was really damn solid, and Gray vs Esdeath... so overall, I'd say the series deserves another time to shine, with this being one of my most wanted matchups for the series. It has some great animation potential thanks to the magical arsenals these two have, which both mesh really well with each other. Jellal's insane arsenal and more fast paced way of fighting mixing with Robin's... not that could lead to a decent contrast that could really show the different ways these two fight. Music potential is just utterly fantastic with both series housing some really damn great tracks and Fire Emblem in Death Battle is cool and I like it.

Number 145: Ban vs Grimmjow (Seven Deadly Sins vs Bleach)

Connections: Both are teal haired members of an outlawed fighting squad who're hunted down by a governing power and are known for plenty of attitude and brutal and bloody fights.

Why I want this: Another day, another entry, another Seven Deadly Sins matchups... this time with the sin of Greed, Ban. He was one of the easier sins to determine a good matchup for as I already had one set... this one. Really do like this matchup, mainly due to all of the potential it truly has. The brutality could be really cool to see. Ban's immortality could make the fight one bloody mess, as it could really show Ban's ridiculous regeneration and Grimmjow's sheer tenacity. Interaction potential is also pretty fun with the attitudes these two have. The fight couykld pretty much be the two just unleashing attack after attack in a gory as all hell fashion. while saying shit at each other by making comments about their inability to stay down, until one of them does exactly that and the fight ends with a shot showing all the blood and the. remaining opponent, showing just how much bloodshed happened in the span of those 2 to 3 minutes.

Winner: Grimmjow. he takes all stats and his soul hax is something Ban doesn't have any counters too.

Why I prefer this MU: Ban vs Greed or Gajeel feel generic and pretty boring. Ban vs Kuramais okay, but I just prefer this one more.

Number 144: Gardevoir vs Fubuki (Pokemon vs One Punch Man)

Connections: Both are green haired psychic waifus who sworn to protect those around them.

Why I want this: Gardevoir is one of my many top waifus and more One Punch Man in Death Battle would be mad based, so this matchup was one that has been warming up to me a lot to the point of me genuinely wanting it. As Mob vs Tatsumaki proved, fights with psychic based characters can lead to an incredibly fun fight, with this being one of my favorites. Gardevoir's various attacks mesh pretty well with Fubuki's psychic abilities. You could have the fight start with them just throwing cars and small buildings at Each other, before Gardevoir starts busting out her more powerful attacks, with Fubuki reacting. by getting more defensive and waiting for an opening. You could have Fubuki throw a whole bunch of buildings straight at Gardevoir, who uses a psychic shield in return... but then Fubuki crushes the shield created like what Tatsumaki did to Mob in that Death Battle and landing a good combo with all the buildings hitting Gardevoir dead on. There could also be a. moment where Gardevoir's black hole comes into play, where the winner could let the loser's guard down and twist and mutilate the opponent before she gets torn apart by th hole. It could be an incredibly brutal death to an incredibly fun fight. Music potential is great too, Pokemon games have great tracks and One Hundred Percent proved that One Punch Man has some great music potential (I know K.O Computer also exists but uh... not a fan lol).

Why I prefer this MU: Fubuki vs Sabrina is a matchup that I just... could never get into. I've never really been a fan of trainer vs non-trainer matchups in the first place, with this feeling like yet another one of those. Renamon vs Gardvoir is mad cringe.

How likely this will happen: 4/10. It has a following, but Fubuki really isn't requested that much and Gardevoir isn't much better.

The banter can also be absolutely golden with how dimwitted these two are, it could be an incredibly entertaining fight. Music potential is also really damn great in my eyes, with both lending themselves to a fight track really well.

Why I prefer this MU: Kuwabara vs Ryonosuke is also pretty damn good, but I just prefer this one and we don't talk about Okuyasu vs Kanji.

How likely this will happen: 7/10. This is by far Kuwabara's most popular matchup, with Okuyasu's lack of requests for Death Battle in general helping it... but also hindering its chances. On one hand, the dude has no competition outside of Kanji who I've next to never seen actually requested for him... but the fact that the character isn't requested also backfires because of that exact reason. I do still think it is pretty likely though, despite that.

Number 142: Sly Cooper vs Rouge the Bat (Sly Cooper vs Sonic The Hedgehog)
