Wiz: Everyone has watched cartoons, either as a kid or adult, and we can all agree that they are fun, interesting, and we sometimes wish they were real.

Boomstick: And today, we got two real life cartoons here! And only one will live for another season!

Wiz: Bendy, The Dancing Devil.

Boomstick: And Cuphead, the run-and-gun master with a cup as a head. He’s Wiz and I’m Boomstick!

Wiz: And it’s our job to analyze they’re weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win, a Death Battle!

Bendy[]

Wiz: Our story starts in the Joey Drew Studios back in the 1900’s, when creativity was thriving and they were making more money than ever.

Boomstick: Henry and Joey, the two main businessmen of the Studio, had to come up with a cartoon that would get them some money, and also increase their recognition across the business of cartoons.

Wiz: After multiple sketches and character designs, they came up with an idea, The Dancing Devil, Bendy.

Boomstick: Wait what? That origin is boring!

Wiz: Well, that’s not it. Joey Drew Studios started to lose money and workers by the second, soon going bankrupt and having to shut down. However, Joey Drew accidentally left the Ink Machine on.

Boomstick: The Ink Machine was used to make ink for the artists, workers, and they looked pretty cool as a design.

Wiz: Somehow, the Ink Machine created Bendy, who looked at first like a harmless little Mickey Mouse wannabe, but a dark twist occurred, his appearance changed, ink covered the studios floor and Bendy looked like a monster.

Boomstick: Wait, so is he pretty much a liquid since he is made of ink?

Wiz: Yeah, pretty much. When Bendy came real, he gained strength, speed, he can manipulate ink to heal him and to help him move around, and he can even create ink monsters to aid him in battle.

Boomstick: That’s not all. Bendy can also create illusions and manipulate people’s minds, causing hallucinations and spooky stuff.

Wiz: Bendy is very durable, he can take multiple shots from a Tommy Gun and not be affected at all.

Boomstick: Leave the gun stuff to me Wiz, an average Tommy Gun shoots around 20 rounds a second, and he isn’t even affected by any of the bullets, so he very durable, seeing as these bullets have a force of uhhh, I dunno the numbers, but these things are strong.

Wiz: That’s not all, Bendy is very smart, deceiving Henry and using his abilities to his advantage.

Boomstick: Yeah, and if Bendy is ever going through a tough time in a battle, he can turn into Beast Bendy, which gives him super strength, speed, durability, and can simply walk over someone to kill them!

Wiz: After hearing all of this, we should now talk about what Bendy’s weaknesses are. He doesn’t really know a type of fighting, he just rushes and tries to fight.

Boomstick: That’s true, and Bendy can only lose/die when he sees the end, a clip that weakens Bendy, and then kills him.

Wiz: It doesn’t matter, because the Ink Demon is ready for a feast, and humans are his favorite.

Cuphead[]

Wiz: In the lovely area of Inkwell Isle, you can see flowers bloom and you can see many interesting landscapes, that just give you a feeling of calm and relaxation.

Boomstick: Yeah, but who would’ve known that this peaceful little city would have a casino run by the Devil himself!

Wiz: One day, two brothers were playing in the city when they came upon this casino, they headed in and had the luck of the century.

Boomstick: The older brother, Cuphead, was getting the both of them cash, and I mean cash, they won anything they played, you say it, they won it.

Wiz: After hearing all of a ruckus, the Devil came and gave the brothers a deal, if they rolled anything, they get all of the money in the casino, but if they roll a snake eyes, the Devil will take they’re souls and make them slaves.

Boomstick: And guess what? Snake eyes, not the guy from GI Joe, the dice.

Wiz: Worried, the two brothers begged for forgiveness, screaming for they’re freedom back, and the Devil said that he would let them be free, but only on one condition.

Boomstick: He gave them 24 hours to collect the souls of others who betrayed the Devil, and if they did it, they would be free from this curse.

Wiz: Scared, the two brothers ran back to their guardian, the Elder Kettle. They begged for forgiveness and the Elder Kettle accepted, but he said they needed to be ready in order to save their souls.

Boomstick: So, he gave them a blue liquid, not like that, an actual drink that gives them superpowers, on that day, Cuphead and Mugman were ready for their redemption, buuut get rid of Mugman, were not talking about him.

Wiz: With these new powers, Cuphead was able to dash through the air, parry pink items and use their powers to make him stronger, gain Super Speed, and was able to shoot projectiles from his hands.

Boomstick: He can change the type of projectile he shoots based off of what he has in his arsenal, seeing as he can shoot small blue projectiles that are fast and do little damage, red projectiles that do a good amount of damage, but barely have any range, and he even has green projectiles that are fast and do no damage, but can hit an opponent no matter what! Hey Wiz, how is he alive?

Wiz: What do you mean, Boomstick?

Boomstick: Like, how is he living? Is the drink in his cup his organs, blood, brain, or is it ju-?

Wiz: Not now Boomstick.

Boomstick: Aww man!

Wiz: Anyways, Cuphead can use pink moves that his opponents throw at him occasionally to power up his projectiles, and for each parry he gets a card, and if he has 5 cards he can do a special ability, like shooting a bunch of liquid from his cup at the opponent doing massive damage, using his soul to attack the opponent, and even can become invincible for a short amount of time!

Boomstick: He can even turn into an airplane, turn into a bomb with 1 card and blow an opponent up! This cup is weird.

Wiz: Cuphead is able to dodge fire, react to lasers from a UFO, and even fought the Devil and defeated him, saving him, his brother, and Inkwell Isle!

Boomstick: Wait, he beat the Devil!?

Wiz: Fire moves at around 6 miles per hour, so we can say that Cuphead can avoid things going at 6 miles per hour minimum. Dodging lasers, however puts him at around 68 miles per hour, so his reaction time is between 6-68 mph.

Boomstick: Woah, this guy has to be tough to be able to do all of that right? He beat the Devil, a literal Demon! He has to obviously be-

Wiz: Well, if Cuphead gets hit by anything 3 times, he dies.

Boomstick: Wait wha-

Wiz: I’m pretty sure that as long as Cuphead is around, Inkwell Isle will be safe from any villains around.

Boomstick: You still haven’t answered my que-

The Fight![]

We start off with Cuphead venturing the remains of Joey Drew Studios, looking panicked and scared, he then looks at a paper he is holding to see that he has one contract left before he is free from the Devil’s grasp, and the name that hasn’t been checked yet is Bendy.

In the Background, we see a black liquid moving around Cuphead, as he screams and runs, thinking the place is haunted, which is somewhat right.

Cuphead: Aww man, after I beat that Bendy dude, I gotta get out of here!

The End Of Inkwell cues

Bendy: What are you doing here, freak? You said my name, so I came to end your suffering.

Bendy then charges at Cuphead, but Cuphead uses an amplified blue projectile to knock Bendy back.

Instead of “Fight!” We hear, “Wallop!”

Bendy moves around with his ink to get behind Cuphead, but Cuphead dodges once again and uses the red projectile on Bendy, causing some damage.

Cuphead: Why was I scared? Your weaker than Cagney!

Bendy then calls in some ink servants to charge Cuphead.

Bendy: I will break you, and use your organs to bring the Ink Machine’s power to the next level!

Cuphead looks confused when Bendy says this, but dodges the ink servants and takes them out relatively easy, Cuphead then turns back to look at Bendy, but he is gone.

Suddenly, Bendy appears behind Cuphead and punches him into a wall, making Cuphead lose one HP and causing ink to get on the floor.

Cuphead: Alright, I’m not playing with you anymore!

Cuphead uses Super Art 1 to make a massive amount of liquid from the top of his head go towards Bendy, but he manipulates the ink on the ground to counter this, both liquid beams clash, and after a while, Cuphead prevails and vaporizes Bendy.

Cuphead: Well, that’s one name off the list.

Bendy: Not yet!

Bendy then appears with Bendy clones made from ink, as well as ink servants, and they all start attacking Cuphead, but when Cuphead is dodging all of these, a hand rises from the ink and throws him underground.

Cuphead’s health is now at 1, while Bendy is slowly getting weak.

Cuphead: I’m done with this, for Elder Kettle!

Cuphead then uses Super Art 2 to make his spirit fly and destroy all of the Bendy clones and ink servants, while also injuring Bendy, leaving him in a weak state, Cuphead then uses his green projectile to keep hitting Bendy until he supposedly dies, but Bendy is able to turn into ink and scurry away.

Cuphead chases Bendy, but watches in horror as Bendy turns into his final form, Beast Bendy. Cuphead uses his Super Art 3 to turn invincible after.

Cuphead: Time to end this, once and for all!

Beast Bendy runs to Cuphead at superhuman speeds, while Cuphead dodges, Cuphead uses his amplified blue projectile multiple times before he gets suddenly tired.

Cuphead looks and sees that he injured himself, he didn’t take damage from the hand dragging him underground, he took damage because a big piece of wood was in his leg.

Cuphead then notices he felt the pain because his invincibility went away, which gives Bendy an opening, Bendy runs to Cuphead, biting his flesh, breaking bones, and dismembering body parts, Bendy then stomps on what’s left on Cuphead, showing he is the true victor.

Bendy then roars, letting off a sign of victory.

KO!

Results[]

Boomstick: Looks like Cuphead cracked.

Wiz: Cuphead put up an amazing fight, and had a good majority of advantages in this bout, including strength, a better arsenal, better combat experience, and better experience in general, but Bendy’s speed, durability, regeneration, intelligence and Beast Bendy was too much for Cuphead to handle.

Boomstick: Yeah, Cuphead beat the Devil, dragons and even giant robots. How did he not win?

Wiz: Well, Bendy is very fast, not as fast as Cuphead’s reaction speed, but he had good speed in general, seeing his ink form can let him move around quickly.

Boomstick: Yeah, and we can’t forget how Cuphead can only take 3 hits before death, meanwhile Bendy can take shots from a Tommy Gun like it’s nothing!

Wiz: Right, Cuphead definitely had the better abilities, seeing he can change his projectiles to match where he is in a battle, but even if he got a good hit on Bendy, Bendy can simply regenerate by manipulating his ink to heal him up and bring him back to normal.

Boomstick: Yeah, but how was Bendy smarter than Cuphead?

Wiz: Cuphead is a decent fighter, but he was dumb enough to not even notice he was making a deal with the Devil, he was blinded by greed, which is why he almost had his soul taken in the first place. Even if you don’t include that, Cuphead doesn’t do puzzles and riddles and whatsoever to defeat his foes, he just shoots them until they lose.

Boomstick: We also need to bring up Beast Bendy, that guy could run way faster than Cuphead’s reaction speed, considering Beast Bendy runs at around 75 mph, while Cuphead’s max reaction speed is around 68mph.

Wiz: Also, even if Cuphead was a better fighter than Bendy, he couldn’t really kill him, considering the only way Bendy can die is from watching “The End”, which really isn’t a part of Cuphead’s arsenal. So overall, Cuphead was definitely a strong opponent, but Bendy’s speed, durability, intelligence, ink manipulation, regeneration, and Beast Bendy was too much for this cup to sip.

Boomstick: In the end, Cuphead couldn’t bend to the reality that he would lose.

Wiz: The winner is Bendy.

The connections between these two are the fact that they are both main characters of indie games based off of the early age of cartoons.

The track for this episode is called, “The End of Inkwell”. The references to the characters in the title is how Bendy is defeated in the games, being The End, and the areas Cuphead ventures through, Inkwell Isle.

The references to the characters in the art shows Bendy’s horns sticking out of Cuphead’s head, cracked and almost broken fully. You can see some of Cuphead’s abilities in the bottom, meanwhile Cuphead’s head itself if covered in ink, referencing Bendy.
