Vegeta VS Thor is the 77th episode of DBX, featuring Thor Odinson from Marvel Comics and Vegeta from the Dragon Ball series in a battle between prideful alien princes.
Interlude
Ringmaster: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my arena where there's no rules, no research, only bloodshed! I am Ringmaster, your announcer, your host extraordinaire for this extravaganza, and let me welcome you to the EXHIBITION!!! In today's match, we have two princes of power! In this corner, we have the proudly proclaimed, prince of the Saiyans, the man with a soft heart in a hard body, VEGETA!!! And in the other corner, we have the hot-blooded Asgardian, the hammer-swinging, god of Thunder, the mighty THOR!!! Now let's see what makes these two so freakin' amazing!
Comparison
Ringmaster: Well, first off, Vegeta is like one of the best dads in Dragon Ball, a pretty easy achievement considering where Goku left that bar.
We see an animation of Ringmaster as a basket roaming around before leaving.
Ringmaster: You just have to not ignore your kids like a basket of unfolded laundry, that's- that's pretty much it. But even though he's a good dad, that doesn't make him a good person! He's as egotistical and arrogant as a YouTube troll! Thor on the other hand doesn't have his own kids...
We see an animation of Ringmaster with a scrubbing running off while a whip is cracked.
Ringmaster: But he does take other people's children... as servants. Talk about brutal! But what's really cool is Thor's ability to lift this heavy-ass, short-handled hammer! Crafted by giant space dwarves, which is... weird, this thing is force to be reckoned with!
We cut to Ringmaster in his arena.
Ringmaster: It's practically unbreakable! Think of it like a Nokia brick phone on a stick, what can I say? Those things are solid! Now who would win? Would Thor be Saiyan uncle or will Vegeta get a Thor-n in his side? Okay, those were bad, I'm sorry. Let's just watch the fight. So without further ado, let the exhibition... BEGIN!!!

Trivia
Production
- The core connections between Vegeta and Thor are that they are both godly and prideful humanoid alien warrior princes of an otherworldly nation and race with a martial culture (Planet Vegeta's Saiyans and Asgard's Asgardians, respectively) and were the sons of their world's highest rulers (King Vegeta and Odin, respectively). Both were humbled after visiting Earth, where they learned to work with others as they joined a heroic team to fight evil and protect the multiverse (the Z-Fighters and the Avengers, respectively). In addition:
- Both fell in love with a human woman (Bulma and Jane Foster, respectively)
- Both developed a friendly rivalry with their world's strongest heroes (Son Goku and The Hulk, respectively).
- Both mainly utilize different energy-based attacks (Ki and Asgardian Magic, respectively) and have techniques that let them absorb energies from their opponents (Forced Spirit Fission and Mjolnir's absorption capabilities, respectively).
- Both also would gain godly power after this episode's release (Ultra Ego and the Thor-Force, respectively).
- Both also had movies released in 2022 (Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and Thor: Love and Thunder, respectively).
- This episode faced several problems during production, which resulted in missing scenes and frame rate drops during the fight. An updated version was later posted on the Rooster Teeth site, which corrected most of the issues.
