Venom VS Spawn is the 71st episode of DBX, featuring Venom from Marvel Comics and Spawn from the Spawn series in a battle between symbiotic comic book anti-heroes.
Interlude
The scene opens with the lights flickering on in the arena and the camera panning over to reveal the large crowd of people watching the show. Ringmaster makes his appearance as he steps onto the main stage and walks towards his microphone which he then grabs in order to properly introduce himself to his audience.
Ringmaster: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to MY Arena where there's no rules, no research, only bloodshed! I am Ringmaster! Your announcer, your host extraordinaire for this extravaganza! And let me welcome you, to, the EXHIBITION!!! In today's match, we have a devilish duo, two real, rude dudes, and one sexy cape! In one corner, we have the infamous ne'er-do-well, the viscous villain, Venom! And in the other corner, we have the legend, the beautiful, magnificent Spawn's cape! Oh, and uh... uh, Spawn too. Let's size up the competition!
Comparison
Ringmaster: Venom's vitriol fighting-style comes from the fact that he's actually two people, kind of. He's the alien symbiote known as Venom, attached to Eddie Brock, a crybaby journalist. And together, the two have never been sad about their past relationships. You know what they say: misery loves company...
We see an animation of Ringmaster drinking a bottle of booze.
Ringmaster: And whisky. As for Spawn, well, he's actually Al Simmons, an ex-marine colonel and government assassin who, upon dying, had his soul sent to Hell. Fun! But luckily, while there, he sold his soul to a demon which culminated in him becoming a superhero! Aw...
We see an animation of Ringmaster patting a small, red-hooded person.
Ringmaster: What a good lesson for the kids! But enough about their boring, old backstories!
We see an animation of Ringmaster sticking his tongue out and doing a raspberry.
Ringmaster: Let's talk about powers! Venom has the intoxicating power to do whatever a spider can, but all black and gooey! Not to mention he's got super speed, durability, and of course, strength. I mean, this gooey goon can throw cars with ease! That is as long as there aren't any loud noises around to screw up his cute little monster suit. Spawn, on the other hand, can do whatever a demon can, which turns out is whole lot, like a whole, whole lot! In fact, his powers are said to be inspired by Jesus! But, I never remember Jesus changing the skin color of a racist or boosting his own abilities to beat up Batman. Oh, and did I mention he has a sweet, sweet cape too?
We see an animation of Ringmaster wearing Spawn's cape.
Ringmaster: If this all sounds too good to be true, well, it is! Because sadly, trading your soul to a demon isn't all roses, you see, Spawn only has a limited amount of power and after that, it's all gone, and that's that.
We cut to Ringmaster.
Ringmaster: Enough talk! Let's see which one of these two bad buddies have the ability to win the EXHIBITION!!!

Trivia
Production
- The connections between Venom and Spawn are that they are both comic book anti-heroes who are humans covered in black, goopy, sentient, supernatural, symbiotic substances that empower them (the Venom Symbiote and K7-Leetha, respectively).
