YoRHa No.2 Type B, also known as 2B, is one of the main protagonists of the NieR series. She appeared in the 37th episode of DBX, Noctis VS 2B, where she fought against Noctis Lucis Caelum from the Final Fantasy series.

History

Millenia after the medieval age, aliens would conquer Earth, forcing humanity to take refuge on the moon. In order to reclaim their home, an elite military force named YoRHa would be founded, composed of androids designed to combat the invading aliens and machine lifeforms. YoRHa No.2 Type B, dubbed "2B", was one of these battle androids serving under the 14th Machine War, sent to observe and fight alongside one of the new Scanner models, YoRHa No.9 Type S. Programmed to be proficient in all things combat, 2B was generally reticent to most, being devoted to the higher ups and believing that machines were incapable of human thinking. Over time however, 2B's cold exterior would warm up to her partner's bright attitude and curiosity towards the machines' tendency to develop emotion. And soon, the two would prove to be a formidable duo, able to take on countless machines, evolved lifeforms, and even fellow battle androids. Whether she sticks to her mission or turns against her own programming, 2B will obliterate all that stands in her way.

• 2B and Noctis Lucis Caelum are the second and third Square Enix characters to appear in DBX, after Cloud Strife, and with the next three being Tifa Lockhart, Akame, and Roy Mustang.
  • She is the first Square Enix character to lose, with the next three being Tifa Lockhart, Akame, and Roy Mustang.
• 2B's official voice actress, Kira Buckland, has voiced several other combatants in Death Battle such as Toph Beifong, Raven, and Twilight Sparkle.
