Yoshi VS Pac-Man is the 52nd episode of DBX, featuring Yoshi from the Super Mario series and Pac-Man from the Pac-Man series in a battle between voracious video game heroes.
Exhibition
As the sun begins to set on a bright field, the camera pans down to the ground to show a row of Pac-Dots, all of which are quickly devoured by Pac-Man (in his classic 2D wedge form), in a high-speed chase from the ghosts, Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde. At the end of the trail lies a Power Pellet, which Yoshi grabs with his tongue before eating it as he runs off, leaving Pac-Man completely powerless to defend himself as Inky collides him, complete with the classic Pac-Man death animation.
After respawning, the ghost chomper transforms into his anthropomorphic form before running straight ahead as Yoshi unsuccessfully attempts to climb a mountain using his Flutter Jump. Pac-Man spots him and, understandably upset about the Power Pellet, creates a trail of Pac-Dots to burrow through the ground. Yoshi braces himself as he hears the wall shake, only to be surprised when Pac-Man emerges from the wall and kicks him across the field.
Yoshi: Rah!
Getting back up, the green dinosaur prepares for battle as a diagonal split-screen of both combatants renders from Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U appears.
Encasing himself in a Yoshi Egg, Yoshi uses the Egg Roll and dashes towards his opponent. Pac-Man rather easily dodges the attack by jumping and grabs Yoshi, slamming him into the ground and punching him five times, knocking him away. Pac-Man then uses Bonus Fruit to summon various fruits that appear randomly on his hand, eventually spawning a melon which he throws at Yoshi. The green dinosaur recovers and counterattacks by rushing towards Pac-Man, grabbing the fruit with his tongue, and slamming it at him, which smacks him to the wall. He follows this by charging his fist with green energy and punching Pac-Man into the air. Pac-Man uses this to his advantage by creating another trail of Pac-Dots and dashing towards Yoshi mid-air; however, Yoshi thwarts the attack by jumping and axe kicking Pac-Man to the ground.
After successfully hitting him with Egg Roll, he attacks Pac-Man with a rapid series of punches and kicks. Regaining his footing, Pac-Man runs towards Yoshi, and the two exchange powerful blows. Pac-Man summons a fire hydrant which releases three streams of water at Yoshi. Yoshi absorbs the water with his mouth and spits it back at the fire hydrant, knocking it in the air. He seizes the opportunity to grab it with his tongue and slam it at Pac-Man before attempting to grab Pac-Man himself twice with his tongue, though he dodges using Pac-Jump. Annoyed, Yoshi manages to grab Pac-Man by the leg, spins him around, slams him into the wall once more, and delivers a barrage of rapid kicks in the air. He grabs Pac-Man by the leg once more, slams him into the ground, and devours him before laying an egg that expels him from his body with Egg Lay (accompanied by a farting sound).
Yoshi shatters the Yoshi Egg encasing Pac-Man, knocking the latter back. As a speechless Pac-Man looks at him with a shocked and confused expression, he uses Bonus Fruit again to create a key which he throws at Yoshi. Yoshi simply ducks to avoid the attack, but the key bounces from the wall and hits him in the head, causing him to bounce from the ground. Using the opening, Pac-Man creates several trails of Pac-Dots as Yoshi rushes in his opponent's direction. Yoshi looks at the Pac-Dots with curiosity before getting caught in Pac-Man's Final Smash, Super Pac-Man. An enlarged Pac-Man quickly gobbles all the Pac-Dots while biting into Yoshi piece by piece, drawing blood, and finally eating his head, which is accompanied by a "500" appearing.
