Broly is an antagonist from the Dragon Ball series. To differentiate him from his canon counterpart, he is commonly referred to as Z Broly. He appeared in the 23rd episode of DBX, Broly VS Doomsday, where he fought against Doomsday from DC Comics.
History
Broly was born into the Saiyan race on Planet Vegeta with an incredibly high power level of 10,000. In the Saiyan maternity ward, he was tormented by the crying of his neighbor Kakarot, something he would never forget. King Vegeta feared Broly's power and ordered him to be killed, and when Broly's father Paragus tried to intervene, he was wounded and left to die. Broly was then stabbed in the chest and left to die with his father. Unfortunately for the King, this all happened the same fateful day when the alien tyrant Frieza decided to destroy Planet Vegeta. But on that same day, Broly's intense power had awakened due to all these traumatic events, so he used his power to bring him and his father to safety. Paragus would go on to raise the violent and destructive Broly, and almost three decades later, he would bring his son to planet Earth. There, Broly would come into contact with Kakarot, now known as Goku. With the sheer sight of him reminding Broly of all the traumatic events of his childhood, this caused him to develop a grudge against Goku and the intent to kill him and his family as the Legendary Super Saiyan.
